Great hotel in a great location.

We loved this hotel. We booked family room, which to the absolute joy of our teen meant 2 rooms with common bathroom. Rooms were large enough, spotlessly clean. Fantastic breakfast. Staff were very friendly, breakfast staff cheery. The restaurant downstairs cosy despite its size. And the hotel owner actually greeted guests at breakfast and in the restaurant! It is a lovely family run hotel and would come back anytime

The entrance was a little confusing- for step free access you had to go through the restaurant, otherwise it is a staircase up.

Great stay with a View in the Center

The location of this place is exceptional 👌🏼 10/10, especially if you would like to do some snow sports and activities. It is on a slightly pricier side during popular seasons. The room is very comfortable with great view of the alps. Breakfast was simple and delicious, perfect start to the day.

The staff were sometimes helpful and sometimes not. So that was a bit confusing. 😳

Right next to the Grindelwald train station and a short walk from the Gondola up to the ski area. The apartments are very comfortable with a basic kitchen.

The staff were very helpful, and the visitors card gave us some good discounts. The food at the restaurant was nice, as was the breakfast. The room had a great view of the. Mountain. It is directly across from the main bus stop and so close to the train.

There is a lot of echo in the building, mainly from other guests not thinking about others and talking loudly in the hallway or leaving their doors open to have discussions.

Loved how central it is to everything around you so it’s great for just getting food from the coop or the train or to the attractions just an overall great spot

The only thing we were disappointed about was the restaurant not being open for our evening meals and we wasn’t told it was shut when we booked but other then that it was an absolute pleasure

Very comfortable place

It is clean place and the staff was very helpful. There was a guy in the reception he helped me and offer me a charger when I asked. The place is very near to the train station it is just 2-3 minutes to go there.

Perfect location for all the local attractions.

Perfect location for the train station, shops and other amenities. Restaurant on the ground floor was convenient and offered a good choice of food. Breakfast was excellent.

The original room we were given (217) was dark and dreary with poorly laid out furniture. Very depressing. Upon request we were moved to another (218) which had a much better layout and a view of the mountains so all was well. Missed having a kettle and coffee/tea in the room.

Great stay at Hotel Central Wolter - Grindelwald

Great location. The hotel is just a stone-throw from Grindelwald Station. The bus stand is right opposite the hotel. Plenty of food options around the hotel. The Coop store is couple of minutes walk. The hotel staff is excellent and very friendly. The breakfast is very good. The hotel restaurant is very good. We had their Lampi Rosti for dinner twice and it was awesome! The rooms are nice and comfortable.

An electric kettle in the room for making tea/coffee would have been nice.

Lovely hotel, recently refurbished, fabulous location next to station and bus stop, extremely helpful and cheerful staff

We had a room on the top floor with a large balcony overlooking the village, absolutely lovely outlook. The only possible criticism would be the lack of a solid banister railing on the stairs to the room.

Convenient and comfortable

Staff was very helpful. Breakfast had lots of options. The location can't be more convenient. It is right next to the train station.

The apartment do not have the full view of the mountain. But that was ok as we are out for most of the day. The only complain is no ac during the heatwave but the weather cool down at night so it isn't a problem too.

Excellent location, tasty food, and terrific staff

The location of this hotel is perfection if you want to take excursions or just move around the area easily. It is right across the street from the bus depot and just down the street from the Grindelwald main train station (aka Grindlewald Dorf) where we had arrived. In the morning, we walked to the Grindelwald Terminal in about 15-20 minutes (alternatively you can also take the Bus #121) and caught the Eiger Express cable car to join up with the cogwheel train to Jungfraujoch. It was all so easy! We also liked our room, which was small but had a mountain view and balcony. We had booked it after a last-minute cancellation so we felt lucky to have such a pleasant room. The breakfast buffet was surprisingly good, I'd say it was my favorite breakfast we had in Switzerland. We also tried the hotel restaurant for dinner, and were quite pleased with our meals there as well. I think my favorite part was the staff, though. The restaurant staff was so nice to us when we arrived five minutes before our dinner reservation, hot and sweaty after a train issue in Germany had delayed our journey. They let us push back our reservation to check in and clean up, to have a more relaxing and comfortable meal. And don't even get me started about Luka, who checked us in. He's amazing! We had a lovely chat with him, and expressed concerns about the availability in the morning of luggage lockers at Grindelwald Terminal. (We thought they might all be in use.) Luka told us if we found them to be full, to call the hotel reception and he would hop in his car and come pick them up to put in the hotel's storage room. What a sweetheart. He really made us feel welcome and taken care of. It was a wonderful introduction to Grindelwald on our first day in Switzerland on this trip.

Good value, clean rooms.

1. Room was large, comfortable, modern and clean. 2. Good water pressure. 3. The view from our room was also nice and showed part of the Eiger. 4. Breakfast was charming and yummy! 5. Wonderful location - 3min walk from the train station and also along main street so not difficult to get to the shops or restaurants. Overall a great value and clean stay.

1. No aircon. For us during spring it was perfect to just leave the window open but I think it might be quite hot in summer. 2. Small amount of road noise at night as the hotel is along the main road. We weren't too fussed. 3. Beds were veryyyy soft, but overall clean sheets and comfy pillow. 4. There was a single incident where one of the towels had blood stains on it... I think it's just a once off but I felt at least a bit of urgency to replace it and an apology about the situation might have been appreciated. Instead I was left freezing in the toilet while my partner waited 10mins to get a new towel from the receptionist who was attending to others. 5. Staff are courteous but there was a single older lady who was grouchy every single day she was working...

the property was walking distance to the grindelwald station(note that this station is difderent from grindelwald terminal station).. if you arrive late st night then this hotel would be a problem because its just like 1 minute away the apartment suite is spacious and it has a kettle, basic kitchen utensils - spoon fork plate etc

for our first night, we stated at the apartment suite at the back of the hotel ( top floor was a little bit creepy because there as no light from elevator to the hallway to the end of our room) there was also a smell in the air when we opened the windows---animal poop smell but i could not see any animals nearby the next morning so we wondered where that smell came from.
