Hotel Blümlisalp

Quiet and away from the busy and crowded town. Gorgeous view from our balcony.

You had to catch the last bus from town around 6:30. Taxi ride from hotel to town was $45 CHF if there is no early bus.

The room was clean and roomy- loved the balcony.

The breakfast was ok but lacked variety for a hot breakfast. Maybe there was not a lot put out at a time so as not to waste food that wasn’t eaten? For what we paid, I would have expected more. A kettle and hair dryer in the room would have been appreciated.

Extremely friendly and helpful people. Wonderful mountain view from the balcony. Excellent food in the restaurant as well as for breakfast. The owners have their own farm and as as a result many products are home made and fresh, e.g. eggs, butter, milk, yogurts, jams. The hotel is a short distance from the village but the free bus runs every 30 minutes to Grindelwald and the Terminal, starting point for the Eiger Express and visit to the Jungfrau Joch.

Not a thing.

Location. The view from the hotel is amazing. The local bus stop right next to the hotel and it takes you everywhere.

The staff. In particular a waitress that were very unfriendly. Just the moment I check in, one waitress was giving the finger to another right in front of me. This is not a friendly welcome. They argued all the time. This made our staying very unpleasant.
