Greta place if you come with your couple, not with kids

Modern, luxury and well maintained

Cleaning staff left the trash bag on top of the TV table. The hotel is more like and adult hotel, if you come with kids, they only hay two hours available to go to the pool between 10 am ad 12 pm. The gym is supper small. More than 3 people on the gym feels very crowded.

Comfortable, relaxed and luxourious stay with a true mountain view

Lovely situated between the mountains. As we sleep light we requested a room further away from the elevator which was granted immediately. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Very extensive breakfast. Mini bar (soft)drinks are all included, which is rare and generous. Nice spa area and indoor pool. We only spent 3 days but even when its rainy outside you can have a good time indoors.

Not much honestly. You could argue parking charge is high, but so is parking in a public garage. We found the restaurant priced too high for our likings, but this is maybe due to the fact we are used to pricing levels that are ~40% lower back home and CH in general is just an expensive country to visit.

Nice hotel but not for a ski holiday

Breakfast was top. Location not so good, we came for skiing and this hotel is not the best for skiing : the ski room is much too small and bad situated in the hotel. It is not a hotel ski-in ski-out. Bad accessibility for skiers.

the wellness is not top. You have to make reservation with a time schedule, this is not OK. There are no beds to rest on in the sauna area.

Lovely, we will be back.

Everything was as advertised. Brilliant location. Great staff. The breakfast was really good and had a wide choice of food. We originally only booked for two nights but ended up staying for four. The next time we visit Grindelwald we will be booking to stay here.

Good with restrictions

The Design

Too many restrictions to use spa and Outdoor Pool. Not very Kids friendly Kids up to 16 are only allowed in the Pool from 10 to 12 am . Ridiculous if you go there to ski . Don’t 14 years old children ski ??

Glam and luxurious getaway with hubby

Breathtaking scenery, we had amazing views of Eiger from our balcony. Staff and facilities were 10/10. The best hotel stay we ever had! We would definitely recommend and will be back ! Staff were very friendly and attentive to the small details. Made us feel welcome. Amazing welcome tea!

Amazing atmosphere, great spa, garage parking, hotel shuttle bus and ski locker rooms.

A little too harsh light in the bathrooms. Missing sauna sheets and cold relaxing room with uncomfortable seating in the SPA.

Everything about the stay was excellent. The hotel has a beautiful alpine design, very cozy and relaxing, with stunning views that truly reflect the charm of Grindelwald. The atmosphere was peaceful, the staff were extremely friendly, and the breakfast was outstanding especially enjoyed with the breathtaking mountain view

Gorgeous property, very aesthetic. PERFECT location in center of town. Easily walkable to First station for all the mountain fun. Best facial I have ever had. One of the best massages. Spa is lovely. Buffet breakfast is massive with tons of options and a true delight. Cocktails and appetizers delicious. 100% would stay again.

The breakfast was good and the location was central

The Roof of the Room no 408 that we checked in was slanting and so low that I hit my head twice . On standing up and when I complained I was shifted to room 104 which was like a room with no view . Paid too much for the rooms . I would not stay there again.

No AC in the room. Afternoon sun directly hit the room made it hot in the afternoon and night. We called the front desk and asked for AC. He said there’s no AC. We mentioned booking.com stated AC was available. He said we should contact booking.com We booked the junior suite according to the pictures provided online @ booking.com, there was no other room across from our balcony but when we checked in there was a room facing our balcony. No privacy. The manager lady told us to that booking.com should update the picture of the room. Bad customer service

Waking up to the mountains right outside our window was a highlight of the trip. From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding. A staff member kindly picked us up from Grindelwald station and drove us to the hotel, which was such a thoughtful touch that made our arrival stress-free. Throughout our stay, the staff continued to impress us with their warmth, friendliness, and professionalism. Honestly, every single staff member we encountered was amazing—always ready to help and genuinely kind. The reception team deserves a special mention for being incredibly helpful and attentive. They made us feel right at home and answered all our questions with patience and care. Whether it was help with recommendations or just a warm smile, they went above and beyond. The hotel itself is beautiful, blending modern design with cozy alpine charm. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and full of thoughtful details. We truly couldn’t have asked for better service or a more relaxing experience. Without a doubt, we’ll stay at Bergwelt Grindelwald again the next time we visit. Highly recommended to anyone visiting this magical part of Switzerland.

After a bad start, this hotel was a real experience

Beautiful hotel with lavish fittings and common areas, low light ambience, warm and cosy with quality everywhere. Pool and gym is beautiful and our room was lavish and busy with quirky furnishings and a huge lavish bathroom. Staff were polite and attentive and breakfast was one of the best we have had.

Unfortunately the promised hotel shuttle didn’t show up and even after calling after waiting 25mins and being told 5 mins ( no apology) 15mins later still no show do we caught a taxi for €27 so not a great start. Staff were apologetic but offered no explanation ☹️. Offered a drink at the bar ( which we ended up not using) as compensation. After that start everything following was great, but was hard to get rid of that start.

The place is fantastic to say the least. beautiful rooms, beautiful hotel design, all freshly renovated. Amaziiing breakfast, with chef prepearing fresh omlets. Room clean, spacious, free minibar. it was a heaven. Staff polite and friendly.

Great location and good facilities. Staff are lovely and it has a very relaxing ambience.

Rooms are too dark (moody decor and dim lighting is cool if you're a twenty-something clubber, but a real pain if you have to do any work or you have kids to organise) - an extra floor lamp with a bright bulb that lets those that need some more light have more normal lighting levels would be great. TV's all have motion smoothing turned on and no way to adjust, so we didn't watch anything in the evenings as we'd planned to, cause even the most beautifully filmed movies just look like home video on these TVs. Also we booked two rooms, mountain view for ourselves and garden view for our kids, but they couldn't configure the garden view as a twin so we ended up in the smaller, garden view room with the kids getting the bigger room with balcony and mountain view so take care when booking as you might not be able to use rooms as planned.

This is an amazing hotel in the perfect location for Grindelwald.

The location and quality of the hotel is excellent. It is about ~7-8 minute walk from the train station. It is a little uphill, so just plan for that. I would recommend calling the hotel to see if they can send the shuttle to pick you up when your train arrives - they have one available and it is a nice feature. It is also a quick walk to Grindelwald First gondola, which makes that a good first day activity. I also liked that while right in the town, it seems to be back ~1 block giving more of a quiet atmosphere and a very good view of the alps. The breakfast is also really good.

Perfect hotel, perfect location, incredible staff.

Incredible hotel. We were in a balcony room with Eiger view - the view was astonishing. Cannot wait to return, we will be requesting room 304 again!! Special mention to Joseph, who took us to and from the train station. He was fantastic and so friendly. It blew our minds to learn that he had lived in Aberdeen for 6 years (where we currently live). Hope to meet him again next time! The food in the grill restaurant was excellent too. We arrived late in the evening and the staff all stayed back late to accommodate my wife and I. Honestly one of the best hotel experiences of our lives. Cannot recommend this hotel enough!

Great location and fantastic facilities

Fabulous outlook to open the curtains in the morning to see the spectacular alps! Spacious room with large bathroom. Added bonus was the heated outdoor pool, it was magical relaxing in it at night time. Great breakfast spread too! Very friendly and helpful staff.

Reception staff is very arrogant, our room, when open door or window had a sewage smell, we shared it to the staff at reception, zero feedback..the hotel manager only requested to pay extra if we need to change the room. The lady at reception promised to call back, never did…. not a pleasant experience for this price
