Great skiing.

At least in winter, it wasn't worth staying in the centre. Value for money wasn't as good as other locations, e.g. Gstaad and Adelboden were both better quality for lower prices.

We loved the small, quaint atmosphere and convenient location. We had a private entrance to our 2 rooms which worked well for our family. The breakfast was good also.

Great breakfast, staff and owners were friendly , generous and helpful. They did more than expected to make our stay memorable. Being a small hotel, made it feel cosy and welcoming and the owners care about the guests experience.

Magical experience

Great location. Just next to the train station. Beautiful scenery from our rooms. We were able to play with snow right at our balcony. Excellent service from the staff. Good spread of breakfast. Convenient picnic room for us to eat our dinner bought from coop nearby.

The location of the hotel is excellent. Right beside the train station and bus stattion with all the necessary places and restaurants nearby. The view of Eiger mountain from the room and breakfast room was breathtaking! The staff were super friendly and were always very helpful. Rooms were very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay to the fullest!

Poor and below standard

The room was extremely small. For the price paid it was not worth it. I paid the same rate at Eiger hotel with a room twice the size, free coffee and cake, free access to the mini bar and an excellent restaurant with very friendly staff Both staff members at reception were rude and not willing to help with local tourist information and tips. Very disappointing experience for the price paid Poor and bad

Perfect location, amazing views

Reception was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was adequate and delicious. The dining room and lounge have an amazing view. Location is fantastic. Just diagonally across the road from the train station. The hotel is on the main street filled with shops and restaurants and just a 10 minute walk to Grindelwald First cable car. We booked 2 rooms. One was updated with adequate space, but the other was very small with no room to keep your suitcases. The beds were super comfortable though. The views from the hotel are amazing, so I recommend booking a room with a view. The luggage storage option was extremely convenient.

The space in one of the bedrooms was extremely tight with no room to place and open suitcases except on the bed itself. The elevator is quite small and can only fit 2 people with luggage - this is not a negative, merely a observation.

The staff was awesome. The view from our balcony was fantastic looking at the Eiger mountain. It was the town center but not like any city in US. People shuffling around and very light traffic noise. Very relaxing on our balcony. Easy access to everything from restaurants to shopping and of course the trains. Highly recommend this hotel.

There are 2 thing that comes to mind. First it would be nice to have a place, table or stand, to charge up phones, tablets and other powered items. We laid ours over a coffee pot because of the power outlet locations and lack of room on the desk. Secondly, I prefer to sleep with 2 pillows to raise up my head. There is only 1 pillow each. My fault for not asking but just an opinion that another pillow would be more comfortable.

When we arrived the staff were fantastic making great recommendations. The views and location are excellent.

I was suffering from Jetlag and so was up early and wanting to work. I didn't want to disturb my spouse so went and sat in the breakfast room. Hadn't touched anything was just sitting at a table. At 5:30am a man came and kicked me out so ended up sitting on the hotel stairs doing work. It would not have hurt at all just to leave me in the dining room. It was rude and unncessary for the man to move me on.

Perfect location, to stay close to all facilities

Location of the hotel is perfect, if you like to be in the center - it just can't be any closer, 1 min walk from train station, buses, gondolas, shops, restaurants. The room was small, but very clean and comfortable for 2 people. The Eiger view from the balcony was just breathtaking each time! We traveled to participate in the Eiger Ultra Trail event, and I couldn't even dream about a better place to stay in!

It's not that I didn't like it, but the breakfast was the same every day and I think the hotel can improve that and serve more diverse options than scrambled eggs and bacon every morning.

Great views/ staff/ and location

I liked the traditional feel of the property overall. The property felt like you were staying somewhere in the Alps. The staff and management were very courteous and attentive. I also liked that the pricing of the in room wet bar and snacks were inexpensive so we did not feel compelled to go out to purchase items.

The place is very quiet overall, but you could here a lot of doors slamming closed. Also, the tub/ Shower was very high and could be difficult to get in /out for a person with some mobility challenges. I would say for the price per night, these items are below expectations.

Picture perfect location, right in the centre of town, about 100m from the train station.

The hotel is in a spectacular location and the breakfast was awesome. We stayed at 6 hotels with breakfast included on this trip and this was the only one with bacon included in the breakfast, which I love. Really enjoyable stay and staff were friendly and helpful.

The location was fantastic, right by the station and also right in the centre of the town. The staff were very friendly, and the room was perfect for what I needed. The hotel balcony view of the Eiger was memorising, could have sat there all evening.

It would have been nice to have air-con in the rooms, but I appreciate it is not stated. Everything else was perfect.

Beautiful view of the Eiger from our balcony.

Perfect location just steps from the train station. Breathtaking views of the Eiger mountain as we walked along the cute streets of Grindelwald. The staff were all very friendly and helpful with our questions about activities. The bed was very comfortable with a puffy comforter that was like a cloud!

The breakfast buffet was plentiful and had delicious pastries, however it was exactly the same all four mornings. It would have been nice to have a little variety. It was also very hot at night, no AC. We had to sleep with the window open, but it was still warm.
