Excellent hotel for a lovely day in Oaxaca

The clean modern appearance, the central courtyard. Beds were comfortable.

Excellent hotel wiith incredible staff.

The hotel and staff are wonderful. We would recommend and stay here again. The staff was incredible! They went out of their way several times just to be kind and helpful. Fantastic location! We walked to everything!

The only issue we had was with the AC. It just wouldn't cool the room no matter what the setting. As a result it became a bit too warm at night. A ceiling fan would have been helpful. The only other thing missing was an ice machine, but that's not a normal Mexican thing so, no big deal.

Great property!

The property was very nicely remodeled, it was also very clean. The rooms were also modern and nicely decorated, very clean, spacious, quiet, comfortable beds, and lots of closet space. It was very centrally located to the main plaza and all restaurants.

While I loved staying at this property, and I would definitely recommend it to everyone, there were some things that would’ve put it to the top. For example, the bathroom’s sink while nice and modern, it splashed water everywhere and it didn’t have any counter to be able to put your toiletries. Having a shelf on the walls to place items would have been great, including adding an extra towel hook to hang extra towels or maybe having a small stool or table to put your toiletry bags would have helped as well. There wasn’t an ironing board or iron in the room, but the staff was kindly enough to lend me an iron though, but not an ironing board. Lastly, having a small desk or table in your rooms will definitely be useful specially, if someone still have to work on vacation.

A most beautiful and elegant place to stay

Absolutely beautiful property in an updated historic architecture. I chose this hotel because it is adults only, close to the center, had great reviews, and offered the beautiful minimalist design that I look for in properties for my travels, business and pleasure. It was my first time in Oaxaca in over 20 years and the stay here was exceptional. Staff were so lovely from the moment I arrived and helped with everything from recommending a great taxi driver to local breakfast. I enjoyed one of the first floor rooms overlooking a small back courtyard area with plants and outdoor table and chairs. They also provided some refreshing drinks in the mini-fridge which was really nice! It was quiet and so beautiful, every detail of the space considered. Thank you all so much for a wonderful visit!

Some cleaning was required in follow-up due to bathroom mess discovered when I first came in to the apartment but it was completed and everything was good after that.

The bed mattress is horrible ! Like sleeping on rocks or concrete floor , I did notify staff because of stone bed I wouldn’t return :/ our friends & my husband & I both couples did not rest due to brick mattress :/

Comfortable stay in a nice modern room at a great location in Oaxaca.

Great location. Spacious and comfortable room with modern amenities. Great place to stay in the center of Oaxaca and explore the city center and surrounding areas.

No tea/coffee maker in the room. Coffee was available in the mornings but if you wanted it in the afternoon or evening you had to go out.

Casa Quiote is a new, modern, clean, friendly accommodation inside of an ancient town. Their space is safe, secure and architecturally interesting. The guest areas are very quiet and you can barely if at all hear street noise. The staff was friendly and accommodating and spoke both Spanish as well as English. Rooms are very modern, very clean, they have a Nespresso (also coffee service in the lobby) and a Microwave for leftovers, they even include some basic cutlery, china, etc to heat some leftovers up and finish them in your room. One final thought, the location is perfect, very central and very close to the things that you want to see and eat!

There could have been a little more storage in the guest room that we stayed in but we managed with the space that we had.

Disappointing and frustrating experience

The building is nice and in line with the architecture of the city and the owner is welcoming. Location is also good because you can easily get to the main spots within 10 min walk.

When I booked a USD350/night "Boutique Hotel" I was hoping to have a hotel facility where I could relax between tours of the city and be able to take advantage of some kind amenities. But the reality is that it is not a Hotel and even less a "Boutique hotel", it is more of a B&B where, however, they do not even serve breakfast. The hotel lacks any service apart from the reception and the structure is almost empty meaning no furnitures, no decoration of any type and and the common area count with 4 chairs and a little table. The room is fairly nice but very basic (definitely not worth USD350 per night) however it was very dark and the only windows overlooked a passage area so that I had to keep the curtains closed all the time. When I asked if I could move to a better room they never let me know anything. The end result is I forced myself to spend as little time in the hotel as necessary because it was too depressing to stay there.

Great base for a stay in Oaxaca

Great Central location in Oaxaca, lovely building with large rooms, Ramon was very helpful prior to arrival (as we were running late) & other staff were also helpful with recommendations, booking taxis, etc. Wristbands for entry were a good idea, as less likely to misplace than keys! Kitchen facilities were also good, though we were in Oaxaca for the food, so didn't use them much! Good TV channel selection, including Netflix.
