Historical convent with contemporary Mexican interior design.
The bed mattress was too firm - needs a pillow top to allow for a comfortable night sleep!!

What an amazing hotel. Every hotel should have someone like Salvator greeting guests and making them feel at home. He made our stay extra special. The hotel is very clean and the food and cafe are amazing. The vibe is great and bed very comfortable. The staff are very welcoming and the bed is very comfortable. Highly recommend.

The property was centrally located, walking distance from bars and restaurants. Despite being very central, it’s very quiet. It was beautifully decorated, carefully selected art and decor. The property’s open air veranda was so beautiful filled with plants! Muss cafe within the property excellent serving amazing coffee. The staff were so friendly and attentive and really made us feel at home. Aircon and de-humidifier in the room was helpful in the warmer days.
Wish the room was equipped with a mini fridge.

Lovely building, beautifully decorated, wonderful welcoming staff, easy to get everywhere. Some fabulous bars and restaurants nearby. Peaceful too.
Bed was a little hard for our taste.

Excellent location, wonderful staff and lovely comfortable rooms. The Muss Cafe on site is great and there's a lovely rooftop terrace to relax in and enjoy a drink in the evening too. Would happily come back!
Our room was located off the courtyard on the ground floor which meant that it could be noisy early in the morning and in the evening. To the hotel's credit, they do encourage guests to remain silent at these hours but it's somewhat unavoidable.

The property is beautiful. The rooms (including washrooms) are spacious and clean. Food on site is also great and you’re in the middle of everything.
But most importantly - The staff is absolutely incredible. Shout out to Berenice for making our stay a really memorable one with her help, knowledge and great attitude.

Nice hotel, well located, nice interiors, great staff and close to the main touristic attractions.
We had a room on the first floor with a window facing the road. If you wake up easily by noise, ask for a room at a higher level or for one facing the back of the building.
The mini bar has prices for everything, but they don’t have everything. This was confusing, because nobody tells you what you receive, but they do get the right to charge for missing items. What if they didn’t put it by accident? This is something to improve.
However, this is a beautiful property and the staff is great.

The staff was excellent; they were always available, offered fantastic recommendations, and understood my logistical needs. The rooms were stylish, comfortable, and spacious, which was a great retreat after a day of walking around the city, and the rooftop terrace was a wonderful place to relax.
If there is anything that could use some attention, it could be the breakfast. One morning I had the fruit bowl with yogurt and granola, and although fairly basic, I could be improved a bit with perhaps a bit more yogurt? I really enjoy a fresh breakfast and see some improvement with this particular dish.

Everything! The team was incredibly attentive, and the hotel has such a welcoming yet sleek atmosphere. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully appointed. Breakfast was outstanding, and the treats offered throughout the day were such a delightful touch. The staff was knowledgeable and consistently helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. The beds were exceptionally comfortable — we truly loved every moment

We stayed in a terrible Airbnb and had to make a quick change for the terrible noise and extreme temperature. We literally asked chat GPT to list the quiets hotels in Oaxaca Centro. This option came as the first one. We made the reservation using Booking and immediately called. Berenice was amazing, the hotel is super quiet and the experience changed our final day in Oaxaca.... Don't make the mistake we made, and stayed in a noisy location. Go with the best. Casa Antonieta, is the best.

Antonieta is a lovely boutique hotel in Oaxaca. We especially loved taking our (delicious!) breakfast on the rooftop terrace overlooking the city. We also enjoyed rooftop drinks, and dinner one night up there too - so convenient to just walk downstairs when we were done! The hotel aesthetic is beautiful, with high ceilings and lots of plants everywhere. The room itself was very spacious, with high ceilings and a large bed, TV and had everything we needed (shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, hair dryer, robes, drinking water). The staff are very friendly and super helpful, and speak great English. They helped us to book a transfer to the airport. The location is good, within walking distance to lots of great bars, restaurants and sights. We tended to go to the rooftop for coffee/breakfast/drinks most as we loved it so much, but you could also enjoy a coffee/food at the Muss cafe attached to the hotel on the ground floor. Overall, highly recommend.
Overall we loved our stay at Antonieta, but wanted to share some feedback on the room itself. Many of the rooms open out into the shared lobby / courtyard, which means they aren't super private, and at times quite noisy. The only window in our room was facing this courtyard, so we had to have the curtains drawn at all times so that people couldn't see in, which meant that our room was quite dark / lacked natural light. For me, light and privacy is so important (for others, this may not matter as much), so we were less inclined to spend time in our room. The room we were in (two/dos) was especially bad for this. The rooms further towards the end of the courtyard would be better (and rooms upstairs with external facing windows and natural light would be much nicer). It wasn't a deal breaker, but recommend requesting a room at one of the ends, or upgrading to a room with external facing windows (unfortunately this was unavailable when we were booking).

I loved everything about Casa Antonieta. The location was close to the Zocalo, restaurants and shops, making it a great base for exploring. The property itself was stunning, and the rooftop terrace and bar was the perfect place to end a busy day. As a solo traveller with limited Spanish language ability, the team - especially Berenice - really went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. Can't recommend highly enough!
Nothing. It was the highlight of my trip to Mexico.
