Sweet hotel, convenient location for walking, very helpful and pleasant staff.

Lovely small hotel decorated with lots of local art. Within walking distance of all the Oaxaca “must sees.” Great staff.

The compromise of its convenient location is that it’s above a bustling street. Not a problem when it’s cool outside and you want the balcony door closed at night.

Wonderful cosy place in the center of Oaxaca that also has parking.

The hotel is very conveniently located in the center of town with most interesting thing within walking distance. The staff is very kind and accommodating. They made sure our stay was worthwhile by showing attention to details. The parking facility is a 3 minute walk away from the porch. Our room was spacious and also contained a comfortable couch.

Being in Mexico the hustle and bustle on the street could be observed. After a long day strolling through town when your tired this is probably not a problem, it wasn't for us at least. But for the light sleepers it is something to take into account.

I would stay here again. The attention and dedication of the staff is exceptional.

breakfast was provided: fruit, coffee, bread items. For extra cost we had a choice of scrambled eggs or tamales. All was very good The air-conditioning was very good (a necessity!) and it was easy to get refills for water, as the water supply requires us to get a filtered water for drinking. The desk always had a person there whenever we arrived back from our day and they helped us in numerous ways, advising and getting taxi service, etc. The courtyard was beautiful. There are only 7 rooms, so the service is very personal.

Would happily stay again, it felt like our new home in Oaxaca

The location was perfect and the room was cozy. We appreciated the fresh flowers in the room and the art around the hotel. What we loved the most was the incredibly kind, compassionate, and helpful staff! Everyone that we met was so lovely and we could not have had such a positive experience without them.

Toilet water pressure was poor in flushing. A firmer mattress is fine but this was very firm

Great location, great hospitality

This hotel was in a top location. Being solo I wanted to walk to many places and found it very safe. The neighborhood was lively. The hospitality was above my expectation. The staff really took care of me. They made reservations for me such as taxis hair stylists as I was in for a wedding I was able to get to work companies to pick me up right at the hotel. I spoke to a few people at breakfast who have been there numerous times and it was for the reasons I stated above the location was excellent the hospitality was amazing I would return.

Beautiful staff, great location!

Beautiful staff, great location! I was sick the first day and they really did what they could to help, including making a nice tea for my tummy troubles! The hotel is very nice, no real issues. Very easy walk to restaurants, markets and el Museo de las culturas de Oaxaca. Nice products in the bathroom and decent breakfast though I think the default is just a continental breakfast style of fruit, coffee and some Conchitas/ pan dulce. Which was fine with us. They also organised some tamales oaxaqueño for us.

We couldn’t work out the TV & aircon. Always an issue at hotels we stay at 🤣 Tip for the aircon, press the ‘display’ button to turn the temperature light off as otherwise it’s too bright to sleep 😴

A real gem of a hotel, with wonderful staff who took great care to make us comfortable. Lovely to have breakfast on the terrace, and beautiful building and plants in the courtyard. Though the location was very central, it was very quiet at night. Recommend very highly!

A precious jem in the middle of Oaxaca. I would strongly recommend this

We had the privilege to stay in an authentic atmosphere, wonderful place in the historic center of Oaxaca. The location, architecture, special decoration and peaceful atmosphere were remarkable. The service was beyond expectations. The fresh flowers were renewed every day, making the stay feel like in a paradise. Thanks to all the team. They did all to make our stay unforgettable.

Charming and peaceful hotel

This is a charming and peaceful little hotel in the perfect location, right between the two main hubs of the zocalo and the Santo Domingo. Our room was spacious and clean with a really nice bathroom. Particularly loved the balcony windows and fresh flowers put out every day! Looks better in person than in photos. The staff were kind and helpful. We loved having breakfast on the main terrace every morning - the terrace and courtyard were beautiful! Can't recommend this hotel enough.

Breakfast was limited in options.but acceptable.

Bathroom hand towels old.balcony doors don't have screens so could not enjoy fresh air .we had to close doors to avoid bugs entering room.door locks difficult to open.tv remote was difficult to use and get simple local stations for news.it always directed you to Netflix and HBO etc.room noisy because of traffic ouside.

Breakfast was great and was served by very friendly stuff. Everyone we encountered at the hotel was very friendly and helpful. It is located at the center of the city. Everything is with in walking distance unless you're going on tours of course. The room is spacious and air-conditioned. The bathroom has hot water with good pressure.

Authentic Oaxacan stay right in the centre of town

The location of this hotel is perfect - you are right at the centre of everywhere you need to be in Oaxaca City. The staff are excellent and extremely communicative. Every question I had was answered promptly and everyone was always very kind. Thank you!

Quite a lot of noise came through the doors. Nights were quiet, however if you are a light sleeper and/or are not a morning person the lack of soundproofing might be an issue.

A great, air conditioned, location, but the staff make the place extra special!

The location was perfect, right in the center of town but surprisingly not noisy at all. I ended up getting food poisoning in Oaxaca and was laid up in the hotel room for a full day and the staff was SO kind and helpful! They make a really nice breakfast, and even made a jar of salsa for my fiancé to bring back to CDMX. Above and beyond. Would stay again.

Perfect location, right next to the main street and great view

The best part was the owner - I got sick half way through our trip and they check on me and my SO during the whole treatment and provided and transportation, incredible.

The only thing and I mean only thing I didn't like was the bed - could have been more comfortable.

Exceptional

This was a delightful stay in every way! The room was adorable and very spacious. The bed was really comfortable (loveddd the sheets). Bathroom was spacious and great as well with good hot water pressure, they provided a delicious chocolate body scrub and an amazing body butter, which we loved. Breakfast was really good. The balcony was really nice, great spot for people watching - felt very Parisian. Location was perfect, right in the middle of everything. Tons of small thoughtful touches throughout our stay and the staff was just lovely, always willing to help. Would 100% stay here again the next time we're in Oaxaca!!!

El meyor hotel en Oaxaca!/ Best hotel in Oaxaca!

Beside the fantastic location (pretty much two blocks from everything)-- service and accommodations at Casa de Siete Balcones will leave you spoiled and wanting more! Every day staff checked in with me to see if I needed anything and to confirm breakfast. They made the bed each day, put fresh flowers in the room, changed out towels, and did bed turn down in the evening. Their breakfast with fruit, yogurt, sweet breads, and coffee or chocolate is a great way to get up and going in the morning! I am also super grateful for the managements help to get a taxi scheduled for a early flight! Can't wait to stay there again!
