A quiet, peaceful stay with a wonderful staff

First and foremost, the staff. They were very helpful and friendly. Second, the facility is clean, quiet and modern.

Facilities lacking, staff nice and hardworking

Room was quiet, bed comfortable. Staff hard working and very helpful. If the hotel were half the price, I would have rated it as good, but for the price you pay - the facilities, the ambiance, the quality - do not match the expectation at all.

We stayed at the ground floor garden room, which was very humid and smelled musty. Could not air it out because of mosquitoes outside. Clothes and bedding dampish. Shower is awful, water alternated between burning hot and cold, shower design allows water to splash out and adds to the high humidity in the room. Shower shows wear and tear, and the wooden floor smells. Room spacious but lacks ambiance. Breakfast starts at 8:30, but most tours pick up at 8am. so you miss breakfast. Just not worth the money you spend imho.

Perfect

Breakfast everyday was different and delicious. Yolanda the chef was amazing. Front desk Carlos and Alma were very helpful and so nice. I liked being away from the craziness of the zocalo and there are lots of fun markets, shops, bars and restaurants very close and walkable. Enjoyed my stay very much. Thank you

Breakfast was delicious, they served local food, the portions were a good size, and beautifully presented. The entire staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was spotless, and the scent of fresh-cut lilies greeted us upon arrival.

This is a great place to stay in Oaxaca City!

The hotel is a 15 minute walk from the main square, so it is out of the busy tourist location and so much quieter (although it is on a busy street). The rooms were spacious and they have a large interior courtyard. A delicious breakfast is served each morning and the staff are very helpful. We walked everywhere from this location.

You step from the noisy street into a hotel, with booming courtyard. It gives a feeling of tranquility and coziness. The room as a good size and the balcony is beautiful. You can enjoy the nature and the watch the birds.

I can’t praise this place enough. A beautiful, cozy and intimate hotel with a charming garden. Very close to the center but far enough to not be part of the chaos. The staff is very nice, helpful and welcoming. Antonio was a great host checking us in. I would definitely stay again here. Thank you for your hospitality!

A great 6-night stay in Oaxaca!

The rooms were lovely! We liked the spaciousness of the room, as well as the private garden patio. The in-room fridge stocked with drinks was a friendly welcome! The location was within an easy walk of great restaurants, museums and the Zocalo. Staff was very helpful. We appreciated their arranging an early morning taxi for us on our departure day.

Beautiful calm oasis in the city

We really enjoyed our stay at Nardazul - a quiet little respite from Oaxaca’s lively old town. The room and bathroom were lovely, the staff were beyond helpful, and it was a real pleasure to get home each night to a gentle oasis.

We loved our stay!

We liked everything about the property! The location was perfect, 10 minutes walking from the city centre, but very quiet and great for sleep. The room was really nice with comfy bed and a little garden, the staff was really lovely and helpful, breakfast was great and we loved that it wasn’t a buffet, but a different local dish every day. Thank you for making our trip to Mexico even better!

first of all, we have to mantion Antonio- he was amazing! so nice, welcoming, informative and helpful. he recomended a tour of the sights around oaxaca and it was amazing! the hotel was very nice, the room was big and everything was comfortable and clean. a nice bonus- the minifridge was full of drinks and they were free! we loved our short stay in oaxaca and in hotel Nardazul

In all the reviews we read people talked about how amazing the breakfest is. it was very nice indeed, fresh and homemade, but it didn't live up to the hype. the only other thing is the location. the hotel is located a bit far from the center of town, about 15 minutes walk, but its not so bad...

There was a problem with warm water in our shower but the hotel staff moved us to another room while they solved it. They were proactive and helpful.

Breakfast was always superb. Our server/host was so lovely and greeted us with the biggest smile each day!

We had constant issues with not having hot water for showers. We did ask twice and it was resolved the night before our departure day. The other thing was the not flushing toilet paper. Many a Oaxaca thing, it is strange for me.

Very nice place to stay in Oaxaca city.

Small, quiet, impeccably clean, and personal. We were a little worried about the distance from the central sites of the city, but it's an easy 10-minute walk to the main street. The staff was professional, friendly and very helpful. Spacious rooms with a small terrace. Security was good and enjoyed the little private outdoor patio. A lovely breakfast is served every morning from 8 to 10 am.

There is not enough light in the bathroom and the additional full-length mirror in the room is placed behind the small refrigerator so it is not easy to see yourself fully.

One of the best places you can stay in Oaxaca

Location: just perfect. Easy access to touristy downtown but also the more interesting Xochimilco and Reforma areas Breakfast: really good and fast Staff: let us check in early and had a guy there (sorry, can't remember his name) who casually walked us through all the different mezcal varieties and offered some tastings and had some phenomenal mezcals for pretty reasonable prices Hotel: small so feels intimate: and a small thing but really nice - free drinks in the room fridge. Didn't take advantage of much of it but it's a small but generous gesture.

There wasn't a tonne of soundproofing between our bathroom and the common area for breakfast - a wee uncomfortable

Perfect!

Breakfast is delicious and feels like you’re eating a home cooked meal! The facilities are very clean and well kept. The room and the balcony were great and quite comfortable. The location was very accessible to the centro!! Would definitely be staying here again.

There is no parking available, so we had to keep our car in the hotel garage next door which was conveniently located but an additional 25 dollars/night.
