Comfortable large room in Oaxaca!

We loved Casa Cid de Leon. The location was perfect - walking distance to everything - museums, wonderful restaurants and the zocalo. We were taking a week-long Spanish class and knew we would want a room that was more spacious than one with just a bed. Our room was very large and didn’t feel cramped at all. The furnishings were comfortable and interesting. We had a huge TV. Breakfast was provided on the rooftop terrace right outside. And as others have said, the house dog - Winnie - was adorable!

There is no elevator and we definitely got our exercise going to the 3rd floor!

A few little quirks in the room, but that aside an excellent stay. Winnie the dog was a great bonus!

Location is amazing. Right in the heart of the city The staff is so attentive and personable. Really made us feel welcome.

Really outdated and funky decor. Weird layout with low ceilings. Not great for us tall people. The two bedroom units share a bath but one person will need to walk through other bedroom to get to it.

Comfortable traditional stay in the heart of Oaxaca!

Hugeeeee rooms, old and quirky but very comfortable and quite traditional! Great location and the hotel dog Winnie is adorable! Staff were super friendly and Martha the chef cooks a delicious Salsa Verde Chilaquilles with Huevos (free breakfast) every morning. Beautiful service.

Fantastic stay at this beautiful boutique hotel!

Location is perfect. Just around the corner from main square. Staff are wonderful, so pleasant and always friendly. Rooms are lovely. Clean & beautifully decorated. Bfast on the terrace was a real treat. And Winnie, the hotel dog. She’s a little flirt and I loved her.

Everyone made us feel at home. Definitely a boutique experience. Absolutely recommend.

The hotel has a Spanish style feel to it. Each room is unique, charming, and very comfortable. We made full use of the terrace. Diego, bartender, was a star with his awesome drinks. The ladies preparing our delicious meals and desserts were very welcoming and most attentive to our requests.

The hotel is centrally located. Easy walk to just about every tourist location. Good restaurants in the area.

Wow what a professional staff!

Staff is supurb. You could not ask for more. The rooms are full of antiques and history they love to share. Pride in their job and hotel are evident. Location was a stones throw from the Zocalo where there were lots of pepole, colors, venders, entertainers, music and restaurants.

Room had no window that felt somewhat odd, but it would not stop me from staying there again.

Tradición y descanso

Es un lugar especial, lleno de magia, tradicional pero con tecnología, cada rincón es único y desde que entras se respira tranquilidad. El servicio y la atención de cada persona en el alojamiento es excelente, en especial Génesis y la Sra Gabriela, ahhh y la pequeña Winny, una perrita adorable. Desayuno delicioso. Regresaré.

Un lugar muy cómodo y bonito

El hotel está muy bonito y demasiado céntrico, todo queda cerca. La decoración es muy llamativa y agradable, además de que los espacios son útiles para estar más cómodos (mesas, sillas, sillones, etc.). En nuestro caso, nos quedamos en la habitación Dominica y está genial que tenga dos habitaciones separadas, ya que éramos dos parejas. El desayuno muy rico y todo el personal súper amable, desde las personas en recepción hasta la cocinera y todo el personal de cocina. Todo en el cuarto fue funcional, agua caliente, y el servicio de limpieza excelente.

Al ser una construcción antigua y con muchos adornos, debe ser complicado limpiar a fondo todo, así que hay un poco de polvo. Nosotros no tuvimos problema con Winnie (el perrito del hotel), pero quizá a algún huésped pudiera no ser del todo agradable que se meta en la habitación a veces. El desayuno es rico, pero para una estancia relativamente larga, deja de haber variedad al tercer día. Por otro lado, para ser un hotel boutique, sentimos que faltaban algunas amenidades adicionales, algún detalle extra.
