The location was excellent. The rooftop restaurant was pretty (breakfast could have been improved)
Very comfortable bed. Nice sized room
The bathroom was too small with a very awkward shower. The lighting was inadequate for reading. We had a front facing room which was a bit noisy at night

Good location. Minimalist. Linen was If good ugali tu and fresh.
Room was Not very Clean. A lttle musty.
Room was very uncomfortable . You had to Go over a wooden platform tk get to the other side of the Bed into the bathroom. Not well maintained . Floor Lamp switch had no end pull. Room door was hard to manage and made of steel sheet. Handles could be of better quality.
Stairs to the upper deck too steel and dark.
A little pretentious.

The hotel is in a gorgeous courtyard building, with unique art works and design. There’s a cool terrace with a small dipping pool and restaurant. The bedroom overall is a good size.
The hotel is on a noisy street, if you live in a busy city this won’t matter but you will hear traffic through the night. The bathroom is very small. The area is quite central meaning it’s easy to get everywhere from, but the immediate surrounding streets have a busy down town feel.

Unfortunately , the breakfast was not very good. Kitchen needs improvement ! Fruits were good and fresh, egg and cheese options were not great, dry and un tasteful.
The bar upstairs was empty all the time , it could have been made it a bit more festive there. Alos, food options were not great given the the city is amazing for food!!!!!

We loved the: 1) location of the hotel - could not ask for a better location, 2) cleanliness of the rooms and how large our family suite was, 3) vibes of the hotel
Overpriced. It's absolutely insane paying what I pay for a Four Seasons and not having the same level of service or amenities. We stayed during Dia de Muertos weekend and paid around $750/night. There's no way this hotel is worth such a high price. Service is far from it. If I had paid $150/night then it would be the best stay overall.

Amazing place, amazing staff, amazing location. I highly recommend for people who’ll like luxury vacations that are not run-of-the-mill.

Common areas were clean and well decorated. Staff super helpful, but the rooms didn’t live up to the same standards. The AC in my room didn’t work and the bath towels were thin and small.

Great design. Very friendly staff. Close to Zocolo and 2 blocks from markets.
Very busy area. Not that it's bad in itself but having been in Oaxaca before we enjoyed the area around the Templo Santa Domingo as it was quieter and more relaxed

so beautiful and unique. room was super cozy. lots of places to lounge.
on Saturday night the hotel bar was raging, which is just something to note! the hotel actually provided ear plugs, and I didn’t mind the revelry.

The area as a whole was cool looking
the place was beautiful but the price we payed per night was a lot, I thought our room would be slightly bigger, the bathroom was very tight
The common spaces are nice but the couches upstairs are dirty, the sitting space downstairs is not functional unless you are there for a meditation retreat, and it's also a glass roof so extremely hot. the food was not amazing. Our AC was broken and super noisy at night.
The pool is cool but there is nowhere to sit around it
The main common spaces should have a lot more shade and proper sitting areas

We love the attention and the kindness of the staff. They were always happy to help us. The hotel building is colonial and very beautiful. The decorations inside were also amazing as well as all the art exposed within the premise. There are always exhibiting art from local artists like Doktor Lakra!
we should have stayed here longer! the city has lots to offer and we felt extremely confortable at the hotel. WIFI could be a bit better but this is a general issue all across Mexico. But for us was working fine.

Excelent architecture, very cozy and welcoming staff. very good bed and shower. There are good vegan options and also other good options with meat and fish. The rooftop is a must see, like a very private garden.
What i disliked i said to the staff and they promptly resolved it, with a smile. Very well trained staff.

I love that this hotel is right in the middle of downtown - so close to everything we wanted to visit, and yet when we enter the building it's like an oasis of calm and tranquility. Best of both worlds!
Also we're vegetarian and it can be so difficult to find good vegetarian food while traveling in Mexico - Restaurante Sin Nombre exceeded our expectations by miles! Beyond the great veggie fare, the main patio is so beautiful to sit in - we lounged for hours on end, every morning and afternoon while we dined. The upstairs terrace is beautiful too and offers a different menu.

Thank you hotel sin nombre for a wonderful stay and incredible service, always treating us well, there’s such a sublime vibe to this place - great decor, staff and food. We also met some wonderful new friends while lounging in the main patio drinking traditional “chocolate de agua” and sipping mezcal. The rooftop is amazing to lounge all day and drink all night with incredible live music; will definitely be back
we have no negative comments ... we love this place

I’m an active traveler and one of the things I notice most about hotels: shower and bed. The hotel shower meets all my expectations, and the bed is something else, very confortable with high quality beddings clean and crisp, in a way that makes you not want to leave!
Staying at Hotel Sin Nombre is an experience! Gastronomic, arquitectural and artistic. A Tasteful atmosphere, attention to detail, excellent service, welcoming staff, amazing food with a regular menu and a full vegetarian menu option, the rooftop with pool was perfect to relax after a busy day in the city. I will certainly be back!
I have no negative comments, everything was perfect.

The visit was lovely. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. The central area was unique and peaceful with a bohemian vibe. The pool on the roof was always a great respite after walking the city all day! We had breakfast every morning on the rooftop with the exception of one. We were served delicious bowls of fruit and granola and honey. On one occasion we were given some pastries. The staff was friendly and responsive.

Literally nothing besides the staff.
I read some previous bad reviews about the property and gave the property the benefit of the doubt. Nope every bad review was correct. overpriced. You get hostel vibes right off the bat. But the music is blasting into your rooms late into the evening. Forget about sleeping at this hotel, won’t be happening. Had to take a sleeping pill to tune the music out. The staff were extremely nice and I feel bad leaving a bad review but this place makes no sense. Do you want to be a lounge or a hotel? Pick one! Thank god they’re was ac. Also it’s only vegan food so if you are a meat eater buckle up. Also I read that children under 12 or 15 weren’t allowed, also lies. There was a small child screaming throughout the property the whole stay. Please don’t waste your money.

Staff and rooftop bar
This place is basically a hostel. Disgusting. For $450, no sleep and loud music playing all night and people gabbing non stop. I’m sorry, but this is just unacceptable. Hotels are for sleeping and should not have a lounge in the middle of the whole place. There were kids there and it specifically said, no children under 12 allowed but one was in the pool screaming. I wanted to take a dip but wasn’t allowed. Spend your money at Quinta Real where you’ll actually get to sleep. Also, this annoying girl was instagramming and blocking the stairs, I just blew passed her and basically told her to get a life. Don’t believe all the hype. My recommendation would be to go for a drink up too that’s about it. AVOID

The property looks very pretty on Instagram and is more like a backdrop of a photo shoot (there was one going on when we were there).
The room was totally not private, bright and not comfortable. We shared that feedback after the first night and they added a second sheer curtain. Honestly, it was really unacceptable to have a giant window next to your bed. I would NOT recommend this hotel and I was truly dissatisfied and disappointed.

Architecture
Rooms were small
8.0 / 10.0
The artistic touches throughout the whole hotel were amazing. It was very comfortable, with a high end boho vibe. The food was AMAZING! It’s all vegan and so delicious and creative, the tasting menu at night was phenomenal, compared to our lunch at Criollo. Very clean and tasty. Well executed. The breakfast was fantastic too. The staff were very nice and made sure we were comfortable especially with the welcoming drink and the service from the security guard who saved a space right in front of the hotel and the service from the bartender for breakfast.
The appliances and touches in the room are very cheap compared to the rest of the hotel. The functionality lacked with little counter space, cheap toilet seats, one small pillow per person, and a cheap shower head. You can tell they spent a lot of money on the whole vibe and common areas and lacked on the details in the room. Our shower head only had water flow from the outside ring, which made it difficult and uncomfortable to shower. This place would easily have a 10 if more thought were spent on the finer details of the room. Also the room we had, with the + symbol is right next to the staff area, so it was noisy early in the morning.

Design
As we asked for to the front desk for suggestions for guides and transportation for a day trip to the ruins, one of the staff members offered himself to book the trip for us. Despite we thought it was a service offered by the hotel, we later discovered the staff member rented a car himself, paid a driver and would keep the profits, w/o any disclosure to us in this sense.
The overall experience was terrible:
- uncomfortable car
- unexperienced driver w/o knowledge on the attractions and fluency in english
- badly planned schedule, as 2 of the 3 attractions we were supposed to visit were CLOSED!!!! The only one we were able to visit only opened later to the planned arrival time, what made us waste time waiting.
By the end of the trip, the staff member REFUSED TO REFUND US and clearly was not concerned at all about what hapened — he even reacted arrogantly I’d say.
He also tried to sell us an overpriced shuttle until puerto escondido, which was illegal, as he did not have the required licenses to do so (which could result in further consequences for us). Also important to notice that this is a very dangerous route and who knows what could hapened.
This is the first time ever a write this kind of review in a website, and my only purpose here is to avoid that other tourists face the same problems in the future.
Another issue w/ the hotel is the absence of air conditioning in rooms which have no open windows. Really difficult to sleep and also IMPOSSIBLE to bear during Oaxaca’s hot afternoons in May.

The overall aesthetic clean and Minimal
The hotel is still being worked on there are fans but there are not working windows in all the rooms and the rooms with out working windows don’t have air conditioning or proficient airflow. There seems to be a problem with hot water. The location was not good at all

Great location
Overpriced for type of stay; no hot water some days; said you cannot eat or drink in your room; COVID is a bit of a drag on the place

This hotel is so beautiful. The decorating is exquisite. The staff is so sweet. The location can not be beat. The Vegan restaurant was great! I would definitely stay here again,
I really just want this message to go to the management.... I stayed in a room closest to the street. This room also did not have an Aircon, so I had a difficult time sleeping most nights because I felt like I was suffocating with the door closed, but if I opened the windows, it was so bright and loud. I dont love A/C, but those room closest to the street NEEDS THEM.
Also, it would be nice if they had some kind of Whatsapp program that guests to communicate with the front desk and the restaurant. This is such a convenient way that other hotels are making such things as ordering room service, or checking in the front desk, really convenient. At this time you have to leave your room and go down to the restaurant just to order a beer. This was not a big deal... but again, I hope the owner/manager can hear these suggestions, its such a beautiful hotel- these slight corrections would make a big difference.

I was really looking forward to staying in this beautiful looking hotel. The interior coutyard is a very beautiful space. The food it nice.
We were given a just-painted room - the vapour filled the air & wasn't suitable for sleeping in. I asked to be moved immediatly but told that it wasn't possible, despite the entire hotel being empty. We had to sleep in the room breathing toxic air - we didnt sleep, felt distressed & had irritated throuts the next day. I was disappointed to be put in this very small room, which had just been covered in black graffitti & was nothing like the neutral, minimal and peaceful decor I had booked as displayed in the photos of the room on the booking.com website.
It was so small we had nowhere to put our luggage. There's no windows so they had to cut a small flap in the bedroom door for ventillation, hence making the paint smells more invasive. We had to leave the bedroom doors open all night to get some air. Which was not very private. The flap in the door means that you hear the music being played out in the hall and the light streams through at night. I had to ask the staff to turn off the hotel interior lights to allow us more chance of getting some sleep. As the room has no windows it is also very dark in the day time and a bit cave-like.
The next day we were moved to another room upstairs on the street -side, with windows- which I had to pay double the price of the initial booking for. I was disappointed again to discover the bedroom was also very badly ventillated & so hot & stuffy that it was difficult to sleep even with the bedroom door flap open & ceiling fan. Its not possible to open the windows as it lets in so much noice from the main road below.
I understand from other reviews that there is an issue with ventilation in other rooms too.
As the hotel was empty, staff took the opportunity to do a photoshoot in the main area so we went out for dinner our only full evening there. And they were using power tools until late - at 10.30pm I had to ask them to stop.
