Central hotel with apartment like rooms

Our 1 bedroom suite with a small kitchen was large, clean and quite, and overlooked a canal. Washers/dryers in basement were a bonus as we were on a several weeks trip and needed to wash clothes. Breakfast had a large variety of menu items. We also celebrated New Years in the restaurant with their special menu---it was fabulous. Hotel location is very convenient to center of Hamburg. We would definitely stay here again.

Christmas fairytale like location

The historic building ind combination with the upcoming Christmas celebration and the decoration made the stay like a Christmas fairytale you normally see only in the classic movies.

While the staff in the restaurant was highly motivated to fulfill customer needs, they unfortunately failed as it seems like they were either understaffed or processes did not work out. Example breakfast: you had to chase staff to place an order and a simple omelette took up to 45 minutes.

Value for money. Unique breakfast. Just unique. Professionel service. Large room in any way. Just quiet luxury. Best beds ever in a hotel. And silence. Bathroom large and great standard. The bar was cosy, nice dekor, and the right place for a drink. And the perfect spot to end a busy day for old legs.

Second time for us in Fraser Suites. We love the hotel, the building and the interior, it’s beautiful!

We had this amazing room, 333. Very comfortable, no noise because of the double windows, really amazing! But this time the bed was a little uncomfortable. That’s all.

Great for families, amazing location, nice staff, but breakfast needs a boost

The location is excellent, making it easy to explore the city. The staff were kind and accommodating throughout our stay. The room itself was spacious, clean, and exceptionally comfortable especially the bed. It’s a great option for travelers with kids, thanks to practical amenities like a fully equipped kitchenette and a washing machine, which made a huge difference during our stay

The breakfast experience was underwhelming. There was limited variety, no natural daylight in the breakfast area, and no kids menu or child-friendly food options, surprising for a family-friendly property. It felt uninspired, especially considering it’s the first meal of the day. Adding more variety, a dedicated kids section, and even light background music could really uplift the overall experience.

Staff is bad and not clear

It was in the city close to shopping street and food areas

Staff was so un cooperative We booked through booking.com and we booked 2 rooms, we are family of 6, one room for 3 teen age girls and 1 room for me and my husband and 4 years old. We included the breakfast but when we were checking out she’s like breakfast wasn’t included, I told her how do u imagine booking the 2 rooms with 1 adult per room and u let us take 4 children with us. Also why u did not notify us at the time of breakfast that it will be paid, they were so arrogant rude and not cooperative. Did not like this at all.

Perfect location for a short visit of Hamburg if you have the budget!

Location is outsanding, the historical building has been nicely renovated, is super clean and well equipped. Comfortable beds, impressive sound isolation and lovely staff!!

On the pricey side and the restaurant was closed so cannot comment the breakfast.

Have stayed multiple times and will again.

I hardly ever rate a 5 star hotel high for value for money but I did here. It’s effortless, with a great mix between traditional and contemporary. You can tell it’s not brand new but doesn’t feel unloved. A high level of service with a great team that make you feel valued and welcome. The room was a sanctuary after working hours.

I missed if it is advertised that the kitchen was closed. They still offer breakfast to the room but unable to get lunch / dinner. Although they are happy to have food delivered to the hotel. Just would have been easier with room service.

I have chosen the family fun gateaway. But they dont give us what they should give.

Everything is nice.

Breakfast was nothing. If we could compare to anothere 5 star Hotel, they would have variety of food. But here, you only gor eggs and breads and another salami with no fish. They don't even offer us something else to eat. Service is really important.

Rooms were very nice, with high ceilings and lots of space. The staff was very helpful including directions on getting to the hotel via transit from the train station, and good restaurant recommendations.

Quaint stay in a lovely hotel

I liked the location next to a metro stop & the large size of the rooms. I also liked the L’occitane toiletries.

I didn’t like the bathroom. There was no shower only a handheld shower set. It was unable to remain upright on the fitting. We had to hold it and shower which made for a very uncomfortable stay in the cold. I was unable to wash my hair. The bathroom door was also unable to stay open which was very annoying. I didn’t like that our room had an upstairs and downstairs section as it was a lot of effort to have to continually move between the two levels to fetch items. The price was the most expensive from all our accommodations. I’m not sure why prices are so high in Hamburg, this is consistent with other properties.

Excellent location, monumental building and very quiet atmosphere.

The hotel is located in the heart of the centre near the shopping area Neuer Wall, near the Saint Nicolas Kirche and near the old town centre Deich Strasse. All less 5 minutes walking from the hotel. Furthermore the underground station from the airport to the hotel and back is near the hotel. Very convenient.

Honestly I did not have the time to enjoy all the hotel facilities, but the restaurant is very good. All fresh ingredients for the breakfast. I think the hotel is also doing a good job to decrease the footprint. Even the card to enter the room was made of wood.

Breakfast on the third day was marred by shortage of buffet food. We understand this was due to a large corporate party having their breakfasts between 7-8am, when we preferred to take breakfast but were advised that the dining room would likely be very busy then. So we had it later when the staff were harassed and there was less choice of food.

Beautiful spacious suites, excellent dining, and great staff!

Fraser Suites is a great place to stay in Hamburg! We stay there every time we are in Hamburg. We especially love the suites that are spacious and have kitchenettes.

The parking is a little tough, as you can only park in the park house or on-street parking. Would be great if Fraser Suites would be able to include parking somehow in the nearby parking garage.
