I had a great stay and would definitely come back.

The location of the property is really great. The view from my waterfront room was awesome. I was able to watch large cruise and container ships go by, all from the comfort of my room.

Stunning views. Amazing room, so well designed. Most comfortable bed and the best pillows ever. We attended a concert at The Elbphilharmonie and it was perfect! Great gym and pool (for a hotel) as well.

Beautiful hotel, shame about the extortionate breakfast prices!

The hotel is beautiful, clean and the rooms are very spacious.

We had the inner atrium view room, it was disappointing as we were unaware that we would have zero view of the outside world. Difficult to know what the weather was like. The pillows were extremely uncomfortable, even my children complained they were flat! Considering the cost of the room per night you’d expect breakfast to be included but we had a bill for breakfast, £111 each day! Extortionate considering we were 2 adults and 2 young children (children simply having a small bowl of yoghurt and granola). After experiencing breakfast twice at the hotel we decided to explore the restaurants on the harbour and we were extremely happy with the breakfasts on offer. Would highly recommend.

Exceptional room/view, location and breakfast

Concierge is not always easy to find (on ground floor whereas the hotel lobby is on 8th floor), but very helpful once you find them. Especially the great help in selecting a harbour tour: the concierge called the agency and clarified everything for us in a super sweet and charming way

Gem of Hamburg

This is a great hotel in a good location. Very closed to metro station When we arrived, the hotel's concierge, Mr. Franky, greeted us and helped us with whatever we needed. Mr. Franky made us feel very comfortable and friendly. We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary, and Ms. Jackeline upgraded our room at a special price. The welcome was really sweet from her as was the cake that was waiting for us as a gift in our room. Very nice interior pool , nice bar and very good breakfast ! Need to say that we are excited for both Westin Hamburg and Hamburg city . for sure , we will be back ❤

Spectacular views, amazing architecture...

Amazing location! Rooms with the view are spectacular! Fantastic designs all through the hotel.If you're going to a concert in Elphie, it's a dream. You park you car in the underground carpark €35 for hotel guests. Lift to the hotel and then you are indoors for your room, all facilities, including concert halls. Perfect!

We were charged €100 DEPOSIT. I find it outrageous, especially in the light of the fact that hotel has access to my credit card, anyway! It was returned after few days. Not an elegant practice for a 5☆hotel.

Fab hotel, great location, attentive staff

Arrived early from UK and able to check in. Spacious room on 18th floor with excellent views of the city and port. Responsive air conditioning. Nice bathroom. Great location for trains and buses, and for walking into the city. Unlimited breakfast a little pricey at €37 per person, but great choice of food and drinks. Attentive staff.

Officious man started to clear breakfast table at 10.55am without asking if we had finished.

Insufficient information in English to report to housekeeping that coffee machine didn’t work, or how to order food from room service. Limited choice of tea, only powdered milk available. Towelling was hard even 3* budget hotels provide soft towels! Small but necessary provisions let down the hotel.

All in all, excellent stay!

Grand view from our hotel room across the waterfront, enjoyed the ceiling-to-floor windows; very quiet and relaxing. Excellent breakfast and excellent location!

Left the note to have the sheets changed, which did not happen. I had to make a call to the reception in the evening when we returned to the room. That was disappointing. Some of the staff lack language skills in English and German alike.

Nice hotel, poor gym!

Good breakfast, clean comfortable room. Location was good for me but far from centre.

No hot water for my entire stay 4 nights! This was compensated for with free breakfasts. The gym has a fair selection of aerobic machines and what looks like a nice pool. However, the weight room is a joke !!! If back in Hamburg, I would not stay here because of the very poor gym.

A very modern hotel with beautiful views.

The hotel is extremely clean. In fact it is so usual for all Hamburg 5 star hotels! may be the cleanest hotels in the world! And it always makes pleasure to see how clean it was. Very friendly staff! They made me feel at home. Still for such high prices it is something to be expected.

When so high prices a charged for a room WHY there are no paid TV channels? In this hotel for the first time there was not even one music channel!!!

Living The Dream

The curtains!! The bed, the views; the fact that we could stroll through to the Philharmonic Hall for a concert! Breakfast was a delight, and the staff so attentive.

Difficult to store and charge a hired Mobility Scooter. Hotel was reluctant to allow it to be kept in the storage room due to the possibility of fire. They did allow it from second day however.

This is not a 5 star luxury hotel, it is more like a basic impersonal convention hotel, with several things broken. But

Great location for the view of the harbor and concert hall, comfortable bed and bathroom.

Too many things broken, given the price: 2 of 3 days the phone did not work so I could not call for room service or other issues, the TV did not work, the AC was underpowered. The elevators were small and at least one was always broken. Overall the facility was understaffed.

Magnificent View!!! Very nice staff. Facilities are very good. Excellent location. The bed is very comfortable. I like the smell of the shampoo, etc.

1. Breakfast is good! But I think it may could be a little bit better. :) 2. I understand that plastic bags are restricted nowadays. But I think it is better for me and the staff, if there are bags for the trash bins. I feel somehow reluctant to put things in the trash bin, since there are no bags...

Excellent location, high up, great views, great rooms, great meals.

The hotel is in a brilliant location, and is high up so the views are exceptional. The rooms are large, with great facilities. There is a small gym, a good pool and the food was also very good.

The access to the hotel is by lift to n8th floor reception. To get to the rooms you need to walk to another bank of lifts on the other side of the hotel. You can't get from your bedroom floor direct to ground, you have to change lifts.

I recommend this property if you want a central location with fine dining at your convenience.

The property is in a busy location with much touristy stuff to do around it as well as nice restaurants in the near vicinity. The room was excellent, as was the on-site restaurant and bar. The concierge staff were wonderful.

I did expect to see a bidet in the facilities, but maybe they’re going out of style. I’m not a fan of communal shampoo, conditioner and body wash bottles—who knows what’s going on in those bottles.
