Ideal location to visit town, harbour, tube stations and philharmonic concert hall and shops.

The registration at the reception went very smoothly, efficient and welcoming. The room was superb, bedroom for my daughter and her student daughter and smaller separate bedroom for me with communal lounge, ideal for togetherness as well as privacy when needed. Cleanliness excellent and staff service great. Breakfast was absolutely fabulous, Food fresh, choice of hot and cold dishes vary varied and delicious. Service by staff excellent and friendly morning smiles much appreciated!

Perhaps a bit more light at entrance to hang coats, shoes and bags.

Perfect. Super friendly and helpful staff. Kitchen cookware and special pillows available on request. Radio/ audio receiver in the room and wc! Superb location.

Superb

All staff were excellent: those looking after housekeeping, the restaurant, the front desk - everybody was very helpful. There is a locked bicycle storage room which was easily accessible for us. The location was wonderful - right in the heart of the harbour area, around the corner from St. Michaelis Church but at no stage was noise an issue. There are a good few eateries nearby but we would also highly recommend the in-house restaurant where we had a (very reasonably priced) delicious dinner.

Superb

The location was very central. It was easy to get around, which was perfect for a short weekend trip. The area was still very quiet. The room was spacious. My nephew was traveling with my partner and me and we had plenty of space with the double bed and additional sofa bed set up.

You can hear the church bells ringing from time to time. It's not that bothersome, but if you are a light sleeper, close the windows and turn the air on.

Great location, great breakfast, very good lively bar, friendly staff, spacious rooms. I will return.

Not sure the USB charging sockets work. The audio system didn't have Bluetooth so I couldn't stream my own music. The Wifi was down for a while. Luckily, I mostly didn't need it during that time.

We enjoyed this hotel. After Elbphihamie, we came back by walking. Room size and condition were big and very good. Also, quite. From walking distance to everywhere in Hamburg. Staff are always very friendly and helpful. 99.5% we will come back later.

All in all a very pleasant experience.

Room was excellent, and the staff was super service minded and friendly. The restaurant served a very nice breakfast. We dined in the hotel restaurant in the evening. The food was very good, and tasty, and staff was very attentive, and we felt welcome. I would not hesitate to book a room at the Madison again.

The parking facilities could do with some more signs to where the elevator to the hotel is located. The machine for paying for the parking was placed at an awkward place. I would prefer if you were able to pay directly at the exit at the beam where you put in your ticket to exit.
