Lovely hotel, with great links to the trains (airport, port etc) amazing breakfast, friendly staff, good gym.

The location is super,rooms great if you are not facing an unkept garden view and other houses on the back,shower very good ,breakfast selection great but check-in and check-in service very slow and queue vey long!due to that not very helpful/reactive staff at reception in case of need.

Am very disappointed. Issue 1: Bathroom flooded and no assistance or checking done. When I turned on the shower in its hold, the water sprayed out and, because there was no gutter or drop in the floor, it flooded the bathroom and out into hall in about 20 seconds (it took me that long to realise this was an issue, given I hadn’t done anything incorrect). I telephoned for assistance, and after a wait was handed in towels to take care of it myself, when I understood someone was coming to look at it. I should have said something then but it was late and we were already in bed. It was still wet (with pile of wet towels) the next day. Issue 2: the glass water bottles were not refilled/replenished the second day. I asked for more water and was asked for €6 for one bottle! Issue 3: I had been sent cake to my room by a friend. The cleaning staff did not remove the plates and cutlery the next day when servicing the room, so we returned back to them (and a bad wet towel smell). Additionally, the breakfast was really disappointing. There were no pancakes/waffles, and the selection of pastries was very small and they were also small and not particularly good. The cheese selection looked decent but I didn’t have any. This hotel is very generic - no character or particular nice touches. I would not come again, despite its good location.
