Great location, comfy bed, friendly staff. We appreciated the beautiful architecture of this older building, with many lovely details providing a great atmosphere. We felt very much at ease in this calm and welcoming place just a 2-minute train ride away from the central station. The breakfast was very good, including the coffee.

The rooms were absolutely clean, however the carpets and wall painting were rather worn. An overhaul would make this place exceptional, given its other qualities.

Great location, good for a short stay

Great location near the train station and walking distance from Jungfernstieg, Rathaus, etc. Staff was very friendly. The breakfast they provide is delicious. My room was very small, but clean and the bed was very comfortable.

The room was a little quirky (shower in the room), but that didn’t bother me at all.

Great location, the rest is standard.

Location, the hotel is situated in a quite area, a 5 min walk from the train station, and 10 min walk from the city, the room we got was very spacious.

The toilet was rather small, and the room was facing back yard. No hotel parking, which means additional 11 euros per day if arriving by car. Only one room key, which you needed to get instruction how to use it to avoid activating the fire alarm. In general, the service and comfort in German hotels is definetly not keeping up with the rising prices.

Refrain from booking if single traveller

Staff nice and helpful. Abundant breakfast. Location very close from Dammtor station and within walking distance to Town hall (I'm a good Walker)

Hotel is part of the 4th floor of a building that has been partitioned into 8 hotels (or so). Building has wooden floors, so it creaks at every footstep even when trying to sleep and somebody walks in the corridor. My single room was like a prison cell and would be illegal in Italy. Sink and shower in the same room of the bed, fortunately wc was separated. Photo of that room was clearly not shown on Booking.

The staff were nice and helpful. The breakfast was adequate. The wifi worked perfectly.

One can hear the voices of other guests (both that are in the hallway and the adjacent rooms). The wooden floor is also quite noisy (you can also hear the steps of the neighbouring guests).

Good family hotel in an upscale neighborhood close to Dammtor Station

After sleeping one night in a room without views they gave us a better room for the same price. Breakfast is good, and the personnel is very kind.
