I would recommend this hotel.

The area seems very quiet and cozy. The city center is easy to reach on foot. Great breakfast with a good selection of different types of tea. Very polite staff. If you don't know German very well, you can communicate in English and even other languages. I would recommend this hotel to those who like to experience the German lifestyle and comfort.

The room was SMALL!!! Very small, like a box. The bathroom was even smaller, so small that I had to struggle to open the shower cubicle and it was impossible to stand in between the wall and the shower cubicle and wash hands at basin or brush teeth! Impossible, how did they build that? I wonder if all rooms are small! Not worth the money. In this heat, there was no A/C and limited ventilation in the room. Its so confusing, everyday you check which floor is the breakfast. There was NO COFFEE on my day 4!!! Thank god I moved out. The hotel is not inclusive for limited mobility persons 😏

Value for money in a very nice and green area

Nice hotel located in a building with a different hotel on each floor that seem to belong to the same group. Given I booked an upgraded room, I was transferred from Fresena (floor 3) to Wagner (floor 1) which was convenient because of not having to take the elevator. Room was spacious with high ceilings, comfortable bed, and a nice view on the green area in front of the hotel. Breakfast was pretty standard but with fresh fruit which I really appreciate. The breakfast was lacking fresh nuts and fresh juices (the juice is from one of these typical hotel juice machines, it's called orange juice but has little to do with it). Staff super friendly, parking in the university parking garage great, just 150m away. There's restaurants closeby.

The bathroom was rather small and oldish, shower doors (room 14) could not close properly, the hotel should have a mechanic checking this regularly.

Very small room in old hotel, nothing wrong with it but nothing extraordinary. Great location next to university and train station. Breakfast was nice

Very good

Breakfasts were very good, large variety of products also changing slightly from day to day. Perfect location for people visiting Hamburg University, but also very close to city centre. Very kind personnel. My flight was significantly delayed, but I could still collect my keys from the "key-box".

WiFi was very poor in my room, connection was often lost. Hair dryer was not very efficient and overheated easily. I was also missing air conditioning on hot days...

Perfect. I am definitely coming back again.

I had a lovely room with window to the inner yard, vintage furniture and a bathtub, which was one of the highlights of my trip. Lovely staff, comfy bed, cannot tell you about breakfast as I am very picky, but there is plenty to chose from, fruit, pastry, oatmeal, yoghurts, juices, tea/coffee, boiled eggs from what I recall. Walking down the hall to the rooms you can feel the genius loci. I just loved it.

The entrance to the building is not secured, the door opens automatically for anyone coming in, which was bit uncomfortable when returning alone in the dark.

Very clean, nice building and good location

It was very clean, staff was very friendly and helpful, breakfast was nice with lots of variety of food. The location was perfect, just a one stop away from central station. Also there are nice restaurants and bars nearby the hotel, around Grindelhof area.

Single room was very small, it was sometimes hard to move inside the bathroom.

Our bathroom was tiny and difficult to use. As seniors we didn’t feel very safe getting in and out of the shower which was awkward.

Exceptional

Staff was very nice, and helpful. Breakfast selection was not big, but very tasty. We stayed with a small dog and we were provided a basket and a bowl set. We recommend this nice and cozy hotel to everyone visiting Hamburg.

Superb

We liked the location near the beautiful park Planten un Blomen, and we could walk to the center of town.The area is quiet. Its very easy to park in front of the hotel. Excellent breakfast. The staff is friendly, and was helpful in giving us suggestions for supper.

nice building in a very quite residential area. it’s a 5 storeys building with 2 hotels at each floor. So don’t expect an hotel with lobby, bar etc Room was filled with light and bathroom newly renovated. Super clean. Very nice breakfast. Stuff is super helpful and kind. Location is excellent: well connected via train, subway and bus. Close to city center but still in a very green area

Had a lovely weekend in HH!!

The bathroom in hotel Wagner is small, but that is ok. But is is a cold place, with a lovely shower. The black around the sink should have a curve and no hooks, you can hurt your head coming from the toilet, I think then about older people....
