Lovely hotel in a period villa, literally 3 minutes walk from the Tower and Duomo. The staff are absolutely wonderful, going far and beyond to make us feel welcome. Rooms are very well equipped with useful things, including iron and ironing board, coffee and tea making facilities, complimentary slippers, etc. The surrounding gardens are lovely and the breakfast very pleasant. Would definitely recommend for a short or longer stay in Pisa.
The sound proofing could be improved, but have seen worse.

Friendly staff.
Good location
Clean property.
Breakfast was just OK however the only hot food on offer was scrambled eggs and they were terrible. The worst lve ever had!
Bed was not comfortable. Not sure if it was the mattress or that the bed frame was broken.
Noisy fridge. Had to unplug to get some sleep.

A great hotel deserving of the description 'boutique' with some nice touches in the decor. Of course, non of this matters if the staff are not good and they are excellent.
Nothing really. It's very close to the piazza which is perfect for most people although I would prefer to be a little more towards the train station.

We had a great stay at this hotel. The property is very nice and extremely clean. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the Leaning Tower of Pisa, which made sightseeing very easy for us. We reached the hotel by taxi from the airport and the ride was only about 4 to 5 km, so it was very convenient. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, a wonderful experience and we would happily stay here again.
Just be prepared for Stairs to take your luggage.

Surrounding area is full of street vendor, but they are from the morning until evening, and also no issue.

A fabulous villa which although just a short 5minute walk from the Piazza dei Miracoli, is tucked away in a very quiet location. It has wonderful ground to relax in and the breakfast had a vast choice of high quality foods
One thing to note is that its not 24 hour staffed, so if you are arriving after 11pm the hotel will sent you details of how to enter and get your room key. Not a huge issue and the communication with the hotel was excellent.

You couldn't ask for a better location that offers secure parking. You can see the Leaning Tower of Pisa from the street in front of the hotel. It's a ten-minute walk. The rooms are a good size and the A/C works well. Be aware that the halls have a bit of an echo. Breakfast is out on the terrace and is quite calming with the sound of the waterfall. Selection is adequate and the staff is quite helpful.

Not much
Infestation of ants in the bedroom. Thousands of them on the floor. Coming in through the door. My little boy woke up covered in ants and had bites all over him. Bedding dirty with hairs and stains. When we entered the room it was very hot and the air con wasn’t sufficient for the room. We all didn’t sleep because it was so hot. In the morning the breakfast was terrible. Buffet style all the eggs and bacon were dry. When we complained to the receptionist she said the manager wasn’t in and couldn’t help us. It took days for the manager to get back to us and after much hesitation they offered us 10% discount. When we had already seen another bad review on here where the people had been offered a 20% discount. This is probably the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. It was so dirty and the customer service so poor. The Ant infestation has been there for months and they told us they couldn’t do anything about it. It’s really worrying how they are letting people stay in these rooms. After our experience our advice would be to Avoid this hotel.

We absolutely loved our stay at Riff Hotel. The building is stunning, the rooms were spotless, and the beds were so comfortable we had the best night’s sleep of our trip. The staff were genuinely kind and welcoming, even though we arrived late, they made us feel at home straight away. Our son was happy playing in the beautiful garden, and other guests were all respectful and calm, which made the atmosphere really pleasant.
Breakfast was delicious, fresh, varied, and beautifully presented. You could really taste the care that goes into it.
The location was very convenient, easy to reach from the city but with a peaceful, relaxed vibe. The garden and outdoor space gave it a tranquil feel.
nothing.

Central position with very friendly and helpful staff. We stayed in a standard room which was basic but clean and comfortable. Very close to the Leaning Tower. Lovely garden and terrace.

Old house in its well landscaped garden with charming terrace, very handy for Cathedral and Leaning Tower, but a bit of a step to the rest of the city. Good breakfast, very friendly staff (speaking English and several other languages); good air conditioning during heatwave.
Upper floor only accessible via stairs, but staff helpfully carried bags (up, not down). Internal sound proofing not great.

Restaurant. Utterly embarrassing for a decent hotel to offer microwaved meals. Never seen this before. Would be better go offer nothing

Great location. You can see the leaning tower of Pisa from the hotel entrance gate! Parking behind hotel - safe and gated area. Room spacious, comfy bed, super en-suite. Breakfast - we added as extra in the morning - Italian or continental - both lovely , lots of choice. Terrace and gardens at back of hotel - really make the hotel.
Nothing - all good.

It was very clean, the bed is super comfortable, and the view is awesome!
Actually, I cannot name anything. I think the price is okay, but could be lower if you compare to other hotels around which are similar in quality but lower in price.

beautiful hotel, great location gorgeous terrace and gardens - a little oasis
the food was very average, we had a pasta and risotto which were reasonable, but i also had a pizza which was terrible, it was like something from a supermarket kids pizza range, expect better in italy 🤷🏼♀️

The room was clean and fine, quite small. The furniture was more towards classic and old.
I wouldn't call it a boutique hotel. The breakfast was mediocre. Very expensive for what it offers.

What a fantastic place this is. The garden is lovely and the staff are so nice. Supper and breakfast were both great.
Nothing-it was faultless.

Excellent location, close to the Square of miracles, beautiful garden with sculptures and Fontaine , clean, free bottle of water and coffee in the room, friendly staff, impressive decoration of the entrance and the bistro inside of the hotel.
The shower, type big rain above my head, almost all hotels I visit are equipped with such modern taps that require IQ and careful sneaking to wash just your feet

The location of The Rift Hotel is absolutely unbeatable — just a 5-minute walk from the Miracle Square and about 20 minutes to the city center. The staff were super accommodating and made me feel very welcome throughout my stay. I also really enjoyed the overall vibe of the hotel; it was calm and peaceful, yet just steps away from the main attractions.
The biggest downside was the lack of noise isolation. I could hear sounds from neighboring rooms and the hallway, which made it a bit hard to relax at times. Additionally, the breakfast was a little underwhelming and could use some improvement in variety and quality.
5.0 / 10.0
The only things we liked about Hotel Rif were its location and the charming inner courtyard. However, this place is more of a typical B&B rather than a real hotel.
We had to pay extra for a very poor breakfast, which was disappointing considering it wasn’t included in the room rate. We booked two rooms for our family to rest after a long flight, but unfortunately, we didn’t get any rest at all.
The soundproofing was terrible — we could hear people walking around, children running and screaming in the next room, and the garbage being noisily collected early in the morning.
Our room on the ground floor was tiny, and the bed linen had an overwhelming artificial fragrance that made it hard to sleep.
For the same price, you can easily find a much better hotel right in the center of Florence.

Nothing. It was perfect for our needs
9.0 / 10.0
This was a stylish hotel, just a stone's throw from the leaning tower - but very quiet.
It has a lovely terrace overlooking a beautiful garden where drinks and breakfast are served (as well as indoors).
Staff were efficient and polite
Our room (and bathroom) was pretty small (with a few paint scratches) and as we were on the ground floor, we were awoken by a cleaning noise early, and also what sounded like a drill being used around 9am!
Service was polite but perhaps not overly friendly, so while not a problem, the vibe was perhaps not that of a boutique hotel - more corporate. Despite that, the cardboard 'instagram' stand for photos in the garden seemed a bit tacky.
Music played in the bar, and audible from our room, was a bit teenage pop - could have been a bit more chilled.

Location, courtyard, decor
The shower water went out on the bathroom floor, & shower levers were hard to work (one was loose). One of us wanted to sit at the desk, but could not because it was in front of the TV the other was watching.
