Uncomfortable mattress

The hotel is just a short walk from the main sightseeing area, making it very convenient for exploring the city. It also offers a secure parking lot, though a fee applies. The on-site restaurant served us a good meal in the evening, and breakfast was decent.

The mattresses in our room were quite firm. Unfortunately, my mother, who has a hip replacement, found them too uncomfortable to sleep on. When we raised this concern with reception, we were informed that all rooms have the same type of mattress. While we couldn’t verify this ourselves, it’s worth noting that other guests don't seem to have similar complaints. The bed made the stay quite uncomfortable for my mother. Given that the room is intended for guests with disabilities, I found the mattress unsuitable and not up to the expected standard. Additionally, the seat in the shower of the barrier-free bathroom was poorly positioned—there’s a handle placed directly behind it, making it difficult to sit comfortably.

The staff are very helpful on the bar and at breakfast, the hotel is clean and in a good location easily accessible by car, parking is brilliant

First trip to Pisa

The location was great...only a short walk in the city and to the main sites The staff were friendly and helpful, recommending things to do within the local area. Good breakfast.

The room was a bit outdated compared to the facilities downstairs. The air-conditioning was very noisy.

The staff was wonderful, room was very clean and comfy. Food from the restaurant was excellent, would definitley recommend.

Made our stay in Pisa so much better!

Hotel was clean and the staff were so welcoming and helpful! David is the chef in the restaurant and we had a great bistecca alla Fiorentino. Every restaurant attender had one and it was amazing. Also loved Neri, the bartender. What a great personality, and so much fun to watch. He really could be in commercials.

It is in a predominantly residential area, but then we found out how close extra transportation was and it made it easier to get around. We taxied.

Good choice for a short stay near Pisa’s main attraction.

Staff were very helpful, location great for the Tower campus and the suburban rail station. Room (an upgrade) was a decent size but could do with a refresh. Restaurant does excellent Tuscan food main courses

Facilities are limited. Breakfast was not the best, coffee and fruit juice machines were faulty, food selection was limited.

Location was great, an easy walk into historic Pisa, and we appreciated the private rear car park.

Room and bathroom were very small and dated, functional but by no means luxurious. The restaurant meals (dinner & breakfast) were plain and not especially tasty, we regretted not eating elsewhere as we’d had much better restaurant meals on every other day of our holiday.

Love the location but could do better!

We have stayed before so know the hotel well. Always had superb meals and great location. Last stop of holiday.

The property was nice but a couple of things spoiled it for us. Firstly the extra pillow we took out of the wardrobe was not at all clean! Stained and grubby! Then we went for a meal and the winter was bordering on rude telling us about the menu once he realised we were English. Loudly telling us that one meal was FISH and another BEEF strips. We actually know quite a bit of Italian and so did not need his help! What a shame as we love Hotel Bonano….. 3rd time we have stayed… and we will stay again maybe

Very chic hotel with a lovely restaurant. Rooms are very nice and it’s only a short walk to the tower. Parking are is very nice….parking in the basement for the motorcycles is excellent.
