Great for travelers

Very helpful employees. We could leave our luggage to walk in to the city before going to the airport. Location is close to airport.

Airco was really noisy and some overdue maintenance is visible. There was no breakfast but beside there is a really good coffee bar where you also can eat.

pump cut in with a clunk about every 10 minutes followed by the sound of fluid rushing through pipes for about 3 minutes. It kept waking me up throughout the night. Avoid room 206

Blue Shades stay

The hotel is very close to the airport.

The floor of the room was not clean. My wife and I found it difficult to sleep in the room as the air quality was poor. We had to get an early morning flight and had to wake at 3.30 a.m. It seemed as if the last occupants of the room were smoking cigarettes and we got very little sleep as a result. My wife woke with a sore throat. The air con could not be adjusted below 19c. Also, there was a panel missing in the shower door which meant water was landing on the bathroom flower. The room was quite expensive given our experiences.

4 stars? A joke...

Walking distance to the airport. AND THAT'S IT.

4 star hotel? That's a joke. 120€ per night.No glass in the shower cabin. The room was totally run-down, black mold in the bathroom, shower was broken and leaking, the music in the hotel was so loud till 23.30, it was impossible to sleep. And the worst of all: when AC on, and it's normal I guess in July, the smell from the nearby kitchen of grilled steaks and meats was so strong, as if you were having an opened grill straight in the room. Horrible price to quality ratio. The personel is obviously used to those kind of complaints, because they were only able to shrug their shoulders with a rude smile on their face. All together: I would grade them 0 if it was only possible. Ohh, and the MOSKITOS IN THE ROOM.

For one night we accepted mediocre accommodation, from locality point of view.

The location was the only perfect thing, as we could walk to the airport.

The surrounding areas were somewhat questionable. The most disappointing aspect was that you allow dogs in the dining/breakfast area, which is a no-no in any hygienic setting. Although the room was clean, it wasn't the most welcoming. The main issue was the lights, which did not function correctly. I had to remove the card from its slot to switch off all the room lights, rather than using the switch, which meant our phones would not charge. We were not provided with WiFi details and assumed it would be too much effort to try to get access.

Great Pisa airport location Duty manager Saleh was absolutely amazing - we arrived late, post flight cancellation, and he went above and beyond to help generally, and with searching alternative routes home! always friendly and smiley, Saleh was a credit to the hotel, thankyou

Staff were super friendly and helpful. The apartment was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Location wise was perfect too. Short, safe 5 minute walk to the airport (but no airport noise). Great place

Completed our first family holiday abroad!

The staff were amazing! We originally booked elsewhere (turns out the original place was a dive) so we booked this hotel last minute. The staff were so helpful, kind and accommodating! The hotel was clean, comfortable, we had a small kitchenette which was handy too!

Great Hotel!!!

Absolutely everything!!!! Great hotel. Standard rooms are big enough and comfortable. Very clean. Airport is 5 minutes walk. Train station is 10 minutes walk away. City center is about 25 minutes walk. We stayed the day before our flight.

Ideal for a late arrival at Pisa

Very convenient, only a five minute walk from the airport terminal. We were a late check in and the staff member on reception greeted us by name, and took our order for breakfast.

The wash basin in our room would not drain. Staff were very apologetic.

Great airport location, friendly and helpful staff

Excellent location and proximity to the airport. The city and train station were also within walking distance. (Approx 20-25 minute walk) The rooms were spacious and well presented, they certainly met our needs for a one night stay before departing on an early flight. The hotel staff we encountered were all friendly and helpful, they were more than happy to check us in early.

Unfortunately run down

My colleague stayed here for a work trip I booked him in for, the feedback was unfortunate: The blinds don’t close, the shower doesn’t work, the tv doesn’t work and there’s been nonstop mosquitoes in here. It’s very run-down and hasn’t been a pleasant experience.

We had an early flight out of Pisa and wanted a hotel close to the airport, and Blue Shades Hotel was the perfect choice. From the moment we arrived, the reception staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating - offering us an early check-in without us even asking, which was a lovely surprise. The room was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully furnished. The bathroom had all the nice touches, and we especially appreciated the small kitchenette, perfect for those who like to cook during their stay. There's also a supermarket right across the street and a variety of restaurants nearby. The best part? It’s literally just a 5 minute walk to Pisa International Airport - super convenient! We highly recommend this hotel for anyone needing a comfortable and easy stay near the airport.

Great stay in a lovely clean smart hotel

Very clean well kept hotel. Lovely apartment with comfortable beds and very close to the airport so you can easily walk.

We are a family of 5 and we knew we were getting a sofa bed for the 5th bed but it wasn’t made up and it was a sofa rather than a sofa bed. We found extra sheets to make the bed up and it was cosy enough but I think it is really an apartment for 4.

I’m delighted to share our fantastic experiences at Hotel Blue Shades in Pisa. This marked our second year in a row visiting, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the warm hospitality provided by Gianluca. On both occasions, we encountered unexpected travel issues, and Gianluca went above and beyond to accommodate us at short notice, even staying up late to welcome us with open arms. His personal touch extended to preparing delightful snacks and refreshing drinks for our family, truly making us feel at home. It’s evident that Gianluca takes pride in his role and cares deeply about his guests’ comfort and happiness. Overall, our stays at Hotel Blue Shades have been nothing short of exceptional, largely due to Gianluca’s impeccable service and welcoming nature. We can’t wait to return for yet another amazing experience. I just can hope that „Isabella“ appreciated the value, Gianluca is providing to this hotel ;-)

Close to airport.

We had two rooms. The one on the upper level was nice and clean. The AC worked. The one on the lower level did not have a working AC. We arrived via train and could not get a taxi. So we walked to hotel. Very scary neighborhood.
