Good for the price

Location was great. Nice access to the beach, and close enough to the centre of town. Beds were ok.

Really Cheap. Except cheap.

The cleaning lady was super sweet, and cleaned so well! The nicest person ever. Great hangout space if you’re many. Location: amazing because of the beach

Rest of the staff except the cleaning lady was very unhelpful. We got the wrong room with no window, and we could not upgrade due to fully booked and no discount, no nothing. The other people staying, were really loud and nasty, did not respect the other guests. It could be poop and pee all over the toilet. Vomit on the floor. (Felt so bad for the cleaning lady).

Booked a bungalow, when we arrived we were told we had been upgraded to a large family room!!!!! It was a dirty dorm with bunk beds no shower no toilet at my age no.way would I take that option, the reception woman was very rude and unhelpful

We had 2 ant infestations, one in the sink and one in a hole in the wall. The beds were comfy but we had something fall through to the outside as there is gaps in the bed/floor

No closet, tiles were loose, shower wasn’t very comfortable, the curtain didn’t shadow the light so it’s hard to sleep late

Great place to stay if you’re looking for good value for money.

Big spacious room. Air con and fan which was great! Tea and coffee making facilities with a kettle which was very handy, also a fridge! Gorgeous view straight into the beach which was lovely to wake up too.

Had some ants in the room but wasn’t awful or off putting. The WiFi in our room wasn’t great.

Don’t stay staff are the rudest I’ve EVER encounter

Pranee bungalow Koh Tao Here is my honest and well considered review from a 52 year old very well open minded solo traveller. Good: Internet was decent after much hostility from manager.

Pranee bungalow Koh Tao Bad: - [ ] I’m not quite sure where to start oh rude, ridiculously rude and intimidatingly rudeness I encountered on a level I’ve never experienced or come anywhere near close too thankfully. - [ ] I did read the review and read staff were rude but thought how bad can they be the staff manager surely must have read reviews and changed staff accordingly I thought ! Errrrr no …. rude as rudeness that I have ever encountered in my 35 years of extensively travelling. - [ ] No need to discuss anything else just don’t go I was even frightened of retribution on my bike the hostility was really extremely uncomfortable. I did not feel comfortable to ask for my room to be cleaned. They did come once as I did have to ask as there was an infestation of ants ( as per picture) - [ ] There was no one in the restaurant I can only say I don’t blame them the food may well have been good but the environment of rudeness, feeling like I was a total inconvenience to be there and lack of any vague smile even was enough to make me want to get the hell out of there as soon as possible. - [ ] If this was my business whilst a bold statement that I have thought through … as the rudeness, incivility and toxicity was not just a one off. Everyone can have a bad day. I unequivocally would sack the receptions and manager ( as he was as feral as the receptionist) if I wanted my business to be profitable. - [ ] The room was ok. No privacy as curtains did not fit so I had to improvise. There was hot water. The AC was good. - [ ] I would not recommend this accomodation on any level. For 54 nz dollars or 26 pounds a night its was overpriced comparatively for similar bungalows.

Great location. Friendly staff at restaurant. Good food. Manager is awful be aware

It is on the beach. Besides that. I would not stay here again. The people who work in the restaurant are really kind, and very friendly and the restaurant is pretty good value, also have good seating areas just by the beach. But the women at reception should be put into a less customer facing roll. She could have an argument with a plank of wood.

The rooms are okay but the bathroom is so dirty the plug hole is full of hair. The women at reception is very argumentative and impossible to get along with. Which for a customer facing role isn’t great

Perfect location out of the town but a short walk along the beach to all the bars and restaurants. Lovely restaurant Perfect bungalow right on the beach Lovely lady on reception super helpful This was one chilled out and happy week for us ❤️

A place to stay

It was very close to things. Bed was comfy

The bathroom door did not shut and the toilet seat was broken. When we went in there was a load of mud around the toilet as well. The curtains made it seem very dingy as well. Woken up at around 6am with music playing right near us continuously until around 10am. We also lost all power and water half way through our stay. Left early.

Worst hotel experience ever!

Not worst position on beach and near town

Beds are the worst I’ve ever experienced Mattresses well past their time General lack of maintenance Bathroom sink with waterfall coming from tubes Nothing closes properly so the room was always full of mosquitos On another note At check out the lady from reception tried to “forget” about our deposit on the room but managed to get it back Then after returning the scooter I rented through them the guy asked for the money when I had already paid the same receptionist on arrival She denied it Started screaming really aggressively saying I had no receipt so it was my problem Then she whipped out her phone and started filming my face in a threatening manner so I did it back KEEP AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!

LOVED IT!

The staff are SO LOVELY! The receptionist was welcoming, warm and friendly. I don't understand why there are bad reviews, if you take the time to be polite, respectful and friendly you will have such a wonderful experience here.

Bad for the environment

The location but the host is horrible!!!! always nervous and when i asked for trash bag she told me im asking to many things and i should leave!!! 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻

If you like nature dont go there. All the water from shower and sink goes directly to the ground.. many holes for mosquitoes to get in. And the host that was very bad.. i will never come back !

Amazing view from the reception and the restaurant of the hostel. Everything is clean, the hostel is quiet, it is perfect for a calm stay. The dorm was split by a wall which gives you privacy. It is exactly what I expected to be. People are nice there. Location is okay, not too far from the center. Staff is nice.

Right at the beach with little beach bar/restaurant. Decent sized room with all the basics. Overall good value for money. Friendly staff. In house dive school.

clean, modern, great value for money, jungle view as you open door of hotel room, near the beach

felt staff were not super friendly. when leaving I asked if someone could help with my bag and they said there was no one to help. luckily one of the guests helped me. a little scary coming home at night, need to remember the path. and need to use phone light when climbing stairs into hotel building (there is no lift)

Booked two nights. All confirmed to get there and being told they were full therefore no bungalow for us. They offered instead two beds in a dorm. Guess what more pricey than the original reservation for the bungalow. They acted as if that was normal. Mistakes can happen , of course, but acted as if is normal, offer something less but more expensive seems a bit too much for me.

We had booked a cottage. Qhen qe areived we were rold that all cottagwa qwre full. We were very Luckenwalde to be offener uwo versucht in an ugly dormitory. And we were not the inly people whobwere seit If you can, book somewhere else.
