Walkable from the pier, nice bungalow for a short stay
Small bathroom

It was very close to everything. The bungalows were cute.
No water. Literally we couldnt shower cause there wasnt enough. So we had to fill a bucket and use a plate to shower normally. And they were fixing something or at the neighbours and it was very loud. So we woke up every day at 8am.

The bungalows have a terrace and the location is close to the port.
The walls of the bungalows are as thin as paper, i could hear the neighbors snoring. The shower doesn’t have water pressure at all, i had to shower with the hosepipe of the toilet. At 7:30 am they woke me up with hammer blows, as they were doing some work in the area.

Clean, comfortable bed and pillows, fridge, multi point extension lead, location very close to everything but still out the way so no noise, friendly and helpful staff.
All was good.

Great for the price. Had a kettle, towels everything I need, a lovely little outdoor seating area and the location was 5 mins where I had to ge the ferry the next morning.
There was one hair on the bed which was easily avoidable.

The location is perfect right beside the beach and ferry ports! The staff were very helpful and accomodating with helping book tours and luggage storage. There was no air condition (I knew this in advance but it gets quite Hot especially in the evening). Another small issue is there is no divide between the shower and the toilet.

Set in nice gardens, across the track is a great bar (one of the few selling draught beer on the island) and through the bar is the beach blessed every night by a tranquil sunset. And next to that is the nicest cafe I saw on the island. Really- what more can you ask! The fridge and kettle in the room were a great bonus ( double check on the kettle, I'm writing this a month late so can't be 100%!
Some might want to be closer to where the action is at Sairee beach but I actually prefer this end of the island. Not as crowded but still enough going on for atmosphere
really, nothing

Great location, steps from the beach. In Mae Haad so quieter than Sairee but still lots of good food and bars around.
Right next door to Master Divers which is a huge plus.
Mr. T the owner was very helpful and has a little shop next door for all the essentials.
Bed was quite hard but that’s typical of Thailand.

Staffs are very nice. The price is competitive. The room is large.
There was a power outage during our stay but it affected almost the whole island. The property needs a good amount of walking from the pier if you go with retired parents.
7.0 / 10.0
Very close to the pier, walking distance. A stone throw from the beach. Cozy porch in front of the bungalow.
The room only really fits the bed, and nothing else, so exercising on the floor, for example, is tricky. Shower pressure is not great, and they're a little stingy on the toilet paper. The older guy in the reception is a bit flippant.

The beds, the attention, the amenities like shampoo and soap.
The wi fi was not very good. Also, the fan was not enough to keep the room cool.

I'd say the best is the location (note: the other side of Sairee beach but many restaurants and coffee shops around, 5 mins away of the port). The bungalow has a decent size. The staff is nice and understandable.
The bungalow is old and dirty. After 4 nights we got used to it but there are a lot of bugs (yes, it is surrounded by nature, but we have been in other bungalows and it was not the case). The mirror is so rusty you can't see anything and the walls need cleaning and repainting. One of the pillows they gave us was like a stone. I think it is not so good value for money, but it also depends on the options available on the island. We thought it was better from the photos.

Friendly owners. Great location, a few minute walk from the pier. Next to a great bar on the beach (bamboo beach bar) & an awesome restaurant (coconut monkey)
Theres a shop on site.
Room is basic, but everything you need. We stayed an extra 2 nights & the owner gave us a better deal than on booking .com.
Would happily stay again

Was hot as hell. Definitely get aircon. We had a fan and was warmer in our room than outside. Rooster underneath crowing was also difficult to sleep with. Otherwise it was fine. Cheap enough and decent. Not too far out of everything

the location was great, the price was fair and the staff were very friendly and accommodating.
no air conditioning. there was a large gan in my room which worked fine but air con would’ve been nice.

We couldn’t believe that we could get our own bungalow for less than 2 beds in a dorm room in most hostels. We loved having a covered space to sit and dry our clothes. It was great! In the room there was a bed, small shelving unit with glasses and space for a few of our packing cubes, and a fan. It was everything we needed. The room and bedding was clean. The bathroom was slightly tired but absolutely fine. We rented a scooter for cheaper than anywhere else we saw on the island. The owners were always super friendly and helpful. We loved the location, near the pier but quieter than the central road. The property is not on the beach but is less than a minutes walk, from the first bungalow. Great snorkelling! (if your facing the sea head left near the big rocks - there is a sunken ship you can snorkel around and a little bit to the right of the ships (facing the sea) there are some masses of coral with giant fish!) We also snorkelled round to 3 rocks from here (stronger swimmers only due to the distance) and saw two 2m+ sharks in the late afternoon. It is a free beach to enter here. We had a great time!
For the price, nothing.

Very nice gardens, right next to beach, bars, restaurants but not noisy at all, laid back vibe. Convenience store and laundry on site. Balconies.
No AC in first room and sea breeze was not cutting it, upgraded to AC room once available. Large garden with many bungalows ; can be far from beach (couple minute walk).

location and looking good overall
the room itself is a bit dated, no flush for toilet but bucket of water, no wardrobe or other than small hanger for towels

Great budget option and close to the pier which was nice. Bungalow was also very spacious.
Some things in our room were dirty (the cups were used and sticky), staff wasn’t the friendliest but overall good for what you pay

the location is great! right next to the pier but not to much in the city so very quiet. we tried 3 different rooms because we kept on adding days on the island and the owner was very nice and helpful. we had a bungalow and a normal room, with fan, which was enough for us. there is a terrace on every room which is very nice. the atmosphere is very peaceful.
the water pressure isn’t great but it’s like that in a lot of places in Thailand!

- It's close to the pier.
- Its fairly quiet at night.
- Its basic but for the price it's pretty good.
- The staff were a little bit rude and shouty when showing us to our rooms.
- The beds are not comfortable at all.
- The fan is so bad you might as well not have one.
- The power went off in the morning when we wanted to shower.

I always stay there when on Koh Tao. Hosts are super friendly and bungalows are cozy. They also offer scooter rental and bunch of other services. Highly recommended!
Nothing.

Nice bungalow near the pier and the small beach. A lovely family running it, so sweet and helpful.
