The view
Cigarette butts littering the ground everywhere, trash bags, loose trash snd garbage in all
areas of the facility. Dirty cushions, filthy pillows and gross sheets in the hang out area. Plants looked sad and not cared for, turtles, fish and dogs are neglected and in poor health. No hot water, ashtrays always full and smells
of stale cigarettes. Overall not well maintained or cleaned.

Friendly staff, good communication via WhatsApp groups and such a welcoming atmosphere. A lot of nice activities and game nights.
Some Toilet seats needed replacing.

Yoga classes included everyday with such a beautiful view. Our teacher was very professional and it’s been one of the best parts of the stay.
There’s not hot water which is fine but after 7 or 8 days you might miss a hot shower.

one of the best hostels in thailand i’ve booked yet! slept in a mixed dorm, which was incredibly big, had a scenic bathroom and the beds are comfortable to sleep in with curtains. it’s a chilled out hostel, but easy to meet people and make connections. staff was great, super friendly and very helpful!

The view is insane, you have a view even in the shower. The vibe is very nice, not crazy party but still very sociable. Beds are comfy and you got courtains. They sell food, it’s tasty and not super expensive. Staff was very nice.
There’s a lot of steps from the parking lot to the hostel. We didn’t care that much but you need to consider this. It’s like a mini work out when you get there or leave.

- amazing views, we loved the common area as it’s very social but not too loud. Always something going on and there’s a pool table and ping pong table.
- the staff were the best we’ve had so far! The main man we spoke to knew our names after the first time introducing ourselves and always wanted to help.
It is a bit of a treck up and down the steps and you definitely need a bike to get round but there are lots of rental places near by!

Such a beautiful location, staff are lovely, there’s loads going on like yoga/pub quizzes in the evening, great sitting room where you can order food, get a drink, chat with others or watch something . Rooms are clean and beds are comfy with privacy curtains

This place is the best hostel I‘ve ever stayed at, I extended my stay 3 times!! The people working here are so kind and welcoming and the place itself just felt like a home from the beginning on. The rooms are super clean and the food is amazing - definitely try the Massaman Curry and the Chocolate Cookie. You will love this place. 11/10

Deishaview is easily the best hostel in Koh Tao! The beds are comfier than you will get in a private place, the common room is super social, and there is always something happening every night like pool tournaments, beer pong competition, pub quiz, or live music. The common room is actually technically outside but has fans and a the view is incredible - looking out over the south side of the island! The bar is great and also has a restaurant which is pretty reasonably priced. But what makes this place great is the staff who genuinely just want to see you happy. They are some of the friendliest people on the island and made me and many others feel at home. Shout out to Bear, Min Min, Champ, P Boy, and Monng
Only thing was you’re not allowed to bring your own drinks which can be slightly annoying but makes sense because they are running a bar.

Wonderful place with clean rooms, clean toilets and showers. You feel very welcome when you get there with an introduction of the hostel. The common area is perfect with the most perfect view.

The staff, the food, the craic, the exercise to get in and out of the property. The peacefulness and how it’s set right into nature. I loved my stay here and would go back in a heartbeat!
The bed was very hard, even for Asia.

One of the best Hostels I have ever stayed in. (I stayed in over 20 different hostels)
The common area is the best in several aspects, like the view and size. It is quite a walk without scooter. They recommend one anyways. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The dorms are well planned and clean. The bathrooms are cleaned regularly. The food is really tasty (a bit more expensive than street food, but I found it fair). You can book many different activities in the place such as snorkeling tour. The common area is a great place to hangout with the other backpackers, eat, drink and even for doing home office. The internet is very good. I had a great time and will stay here again.

The way is a bit rough at the end, dangerous for scooters

suchhh friendly staff, made you feel at home straight away. the view was breathtaking and the chill out area was very good. had some pool, a bar, social hostel so you can meet people but not a party hostel - which I loved !
maybe some curtains on the beds but not too big of a deal in the 9 bed AC room.

The hostel is beautiful, built on a hill within the jungle. There’s an amazing swimming pool and plenty of places to rest and do nothing for the day.
Staff was also wonderful and they organise many free tours during the day and even dinner parties.
Breakfast was also really good (not the coffee though).
Probably one of the best hostels I staying in during my trip in Thailand
The place is much bigger than expected, it lacked a sense of community maybe, hard to make friends.
Also, just put on some curtains, we all need some privacy when sleeping

Unfortunately we had bad weather but the view is incredible, the staff if very friendly (love you guys!!) and the hostel is really comfortable: big common area, free water and coffee, books… there is a nice hippie vibe there. really peaceful.
The location is terrible, but it’s the price to pay for this view! the road is VERY steeply to go there, and you have a loooooot of stairs to walk down to the reception (and up when you want to move aha); toilets where not always clean and didn’t work a couples of time during my stay.

Beautiful Hostel with beautiful People!
Great Drinks und tasty Food

The location is nicely located on one of Koh Taos mountains with a great view + a very nice bar next to it. However, for beginners, the drive is quite challenging with a scooter, and walking is almost not an option, therefore only recommended if you're able and willing to drive with a scooter all the time. The owners, Deisha and Alex are super nice and welcoming, the atmosphere and the hostel in itself are great, there are two very sweet cats and one very sweet dog, and the hostel offers community activities such as f.e. motorbike tours, cooking classes (with vegan and vegetarian options), etc.
There is only one (very beautiful) bathroom per dorm (10-16 beds) which is definitely not enough and leads to waiting periods if you need to go to the toilet or shower, particularly in the mornings and evenings when everyone is getting ready or coming back from a long day
