Great !

The location is very good, right on the beach, and there are plenty of dining and shopping options nearby. There is a beautiful garden with tall trees, and we even saw squirrels on the trees. The boss and staff are very nice. The beautiful view point is within walking distance. There are also beautiful beaches suitable for swimming and snorkeling.

The sound of motorcycles on the road behind the house ，Of course, this can't be avoided.

Complete waste of time and money

Nothing. It was beachfront but just a tiny sliver (maybe 20 meters?) and not a single lounge chair

They knew that I came by bicycle but still put me on the 3rd floor of a gritty old apartment building right at the Main Street about 300 mts from the beach. The photos mostly showed cabins and beach so I wasn’t expecting an apartment building on the street. The beach was tiny and already jammed with people. I made the mistake of paying for 4 nights so when I left after 15 minutes asked for even a partial refund which they refused and blamed booking.com which was a blatant lie as I paid them directly. My own fault for not looking at the room first. But still very disappointing. I found another small hotel at Tanote bay that was much better for me.

Decent location by the beach, can’t really walk along it though and only a small portion of beach. Balcony’s were lovely to sit on. Some nice restaurants around, but Sairee beach felt the better place to be

Bed was quite uncomfortable, not in the normal Asian hard way, but in an old springy way! Close to the road so a bit noisy, but sometimes expected at this price.

Beautiful resort. Lovely, smiley staff. Right by one of the best beaches with stunning sunsets. Great area of shops and restaurants. Serve yummy food at the restaurant at the resort.

There’s only cold running water (but we expected that), there weren’t many things provided such as shower products and drinking water. However very good value for money!!!

Affordable and great location, but lacking some basic amenities.

The beachside location is really lovely, and the courtyard area among the villas/rooms is lush and beautiful. It's nice to be able to eat simple, affordable food with a view of the ocean, and overall everything is very affordable.

There are a lot of small things that we didn't like about this hotel. The beds are uncomfortable, and you only get small, thin blankets (barely larger than a beach towel, and too small to share). You only get one bath towel per person, and no hand towels in the bathroom. There aren't many outlets (some rooms only have one). There's no noise insulation in the rooms. No drawers. Only one small clothes hangar for wet towels and clothes. The bathroom amenities were in poor condition (cracked sink faucet, cracked tiles), and overall the room is very sparse and not especially well maintained. The food isn't very good, but it is cheap. Maybe this place is good for the price. But I wish they would at least fix these small things - more towels, bigger blankets, more hooks/hangars to dry wet clothes and towels, etc.

Beautiful beach hut

Loved being in a private hut by the beach for a change from hostels. It was slightly out of the main area but only 5 minutes or so on a bike and they have their own parking area. I liked the terrace area outside to sit and dry clothes, and the rooms were very spacious. Just a few steps away from the beach (not the best one but fine for sunbathing). Very nice sandwich shop down the road.

The bed was quite uncomfortable and I was only given a very small narrow blanket. When I asked for another they told me it’s only 1 per person so I ended up having to use my towel as another blanket which was annoying.

We enjoyed our stay at the Tropicana! Definitely worth the price. We were comfortable and loved the area.

The resort is beautiful and very close to shops, restaurants, and even a 7/11. Right on the beach, too. About a 7 minute taxi from the main port. Room was comfortable and spacious.

The bed was a bit hard, but we slept fine. No A/C so it gets a little warm in the rooms.

The resort was beautiful, right on the beach and close to 7/11. Room was great exactly as described and the staff were so kind and helpful.

The water from the shower smelt quite bad although I think that may be a problem throughout the whole island as it was the same in another hotel. The location wasn’t great unless you are willing to ride a moped, but too far to walk to main areas like sairee beach.

Nice resort next to the beach

Close to the beach, big room, big balcony, fridge, drinking water provided daily. Clean. Close to restaurants, bars and 7-11, but generally still quiet location. Reasonable prices in the on-site restaurant. Will organise tours for you at reception.

Intermittent shower issue - occasionally wouldn't run hot, but we found if we turned it off and left it for 5 mins that it would 'reset'. The resort was larger than we'd normally stay at, there's quite a few rooms, I imagine it'd be very busy during high season.

Perfect location in a very quite part of Koh Tao, Chalok area. From the room to the beach is a 1 minute walk! Also the garden-view is exceptional! Many birds singing and a lot of butterflies is a beautiful green garden. The staff is very friendly and the manager Mr. Wan, who is in his office every day, is very friendly and will help you any way he can with any problem you might have!!

The restaurant closes quitte early, around 6 (or 7) pm. But there is always a place to eat next door :) Breakfast, lunch, coffee and Thai food are good!

Awful

Worst place I have stayed in Thailand so far, beds are rock hard, slept for 2 hours each night because the rooms are hotter than it is outside. The staff are so unhelpful, the man who sits in the office seems like he wants to wind you up. I asked him if anywhere on the islands rents or sells portable air conditioners, he told me they don’t exist and I’m confused. I told him the electricity wasn’t working he said it’s working for everyone else here so my chargers must be broken - the electricity was off on the whole island.

Friendly clean place for reasonable money

Very friendly stuff! The room was very clean and equipped with everything we needed- very well working A/C, fan, fridge… water was provided daily and room was cleaned and equipped with new towels every other day. The garden is beautiful and the beach could be seen and reached with a few steps from our bungalow. Everything you need- a small supermarket, massage, ATM, diving centers, multiple restaurants are only a few steps outside the resort on the street. The price is VERY reasonable for what you get! No luxury resort, but a very solid and nice options for people who want a good and clean accommodation in great environment without paying a fortune. The stuff is super sweet and helpful, so is the family running the place. Would definitely come again! We wanted to stay two nights, made it four, because everything was so nice!

We enjoyed it :)

The manager was very friendly and the resort is right at the beach. it was a comfortable stay, with aircon and hot water. We had a nice breakfast at Coco Beach, just around the corner, each morning.

It wasn’t as good value for money as most places we stayed. Also, not the resort’s fault of course, but just to note that the bay isn’t great for swimming in.
