    We stayed 3 nights in this beautiful hotel. The staff is great, contrary to what we read in some reviews. Maybe other previous staff members were rude, but everyone was super nice with us! Great service, everyone super friendly and polite. Our room had a beautiful view from the rooftop and the terrace, it was very comfortable, the bathroom was nice, we could not complain. It's worth the price and it surpasses expectations. We had a wonderful stay, contrary to some people that gave a bad review because of bugs or steep hills. The hotel is in a mountain, so if you want nature, expect bugs (and uphills). We laughed when reading some negative comments about the place because there is a lot of drama regarding bugs or how impossible it is to walk, when there are different ways to reach the rooms and the reception and there is a shuttle service all day long until midnight which I think is a very reasonable time frame for guests to explore and go back to their room. If it's after midnight and the guest is not fit enough to walk up, then it is possible to reach the rooms through the beach instead, there are some stairs going up the Rockhill restaurant which also has awesome views! :) We did not want to leave the hotel, we hope to come back because it has been one of the nicest in Thailand. Shark bay is super near and accesible through the free path (or by paying a tour or the beach fee through private land). There are many ways to arrive or go to other bays or profit from the sea and the rest of the town. There is a shuttle service that picks you up and leaves you at the pier during check in and check out, it is included with the booking. Everything is perfectly explained and we never felt like people wanted to charge us extra fees or tried to sell us tours. Totally recommended, if you are fit, no problem at all and if you struggle to walk uphill, there is the shuttle service to and from your room so really anyone can feel comfortable in this resort.

    We had amazing views from our balcony. Breakfast served from lovely restaurant overlooking the sea - stunning way to start each day. A very steep hill to access. They can take you from reception which is on the flat by Ute or golf cart. Very good value for the price we paid. Friendly staff. We had a neighbour who came home and decided to call home from his balcony at 2am which was annoying and loud but would be an issue in any hotel.

    Our stay was extremely disappointing and far below what one would expect from a property marketed as a 5-star hotel. We booked and paid for a Luxury Sea View room, but were instead assigned a small room facing trees, with no sea view at all. The hotel was fully booked and unable to provide the room category we had reserved. No appropriate solution or price adjustment was offered for the clear downgrade. Additional concerns during our stay: • Breakfast access issue: Despite breakfast being included in our reservation, we were initially denied entry and had to spend approximately 20 minutes resolving the issue by phone before being allowed to eat. • Power outages: There were two electricity cuts in just three nights. • No compensation or proactive service recovery: Management did not offer any meaningful gesture or take responsibility for the situation. The issue here is not minor inconvenience — it is a clear discrepancy between what was booked and what was delivered. If you are choosing this hotel based on its 5-star positioning or specific room category, I strongly recommend double-checking before booking. We have documented the situation and formally raised the matter with the booking platform.
