Older, cheaper room options avoid at all costs

The pools was nice, location and view from room was good. Staff were helpful as able to, offered us a room swap when asked, but only once someone else had checked out, which didn’t work with our timing. I also would have felt bad someone else arriving and going into that mouldy horrible room

Room was very mouldy and smelly. The steps all the way up to the top were so steep, uneven and poorly made in the wet weather was dangerous. For the price I would expect not a mouldy room - ceiling and walls had areas of mould - very little ventilation, even with fan and window open was very smelly.

Lovely resort

Great room opposite the pool. Loved the pool, great for swimming and clean. Beach wasn't best for swimming as very shallow, I walked around to better beaches. As an older couple, there were mainly young people on this island, I did do some snorkeling at Shark Bay which I walked to.

Beautiful tropical resort, beds lacking

Lovely pool with a decent amount of loungers. There was a super chill restaurant and bar with a pool table overlooking the beach. The staff were super helpful and kind. The room was a decent size and in good condition.

The bed was impossibly firm to the point of being uncomfortable.

Good bang for buck

Location was good, short bike ride away from everything. Not too bad of a walk either but definitely liked having a bike, which you can rent from the hotel for a fair price. Room was nice and clean once we upgraded to the room with ac. Pool was great!

The room without ac was brutally hot. Wouldn't recommend unless you think you can handle it. Bathroom shower had a leak and the floor was constantly wet, and made the room smell a bit.

Just steps from the beach. Roomy, clean and comfortable rooms. Cute outdoor shared kitchen. Walkable restaurant options with one on site. Motorbike rental through the hotel was affordable and easy!

Great Value and Location

We stayed in the King Room with AC. Very comfortable. The resort bar/ restaurant is right on the beach and has lots of seating options, a good menu and a pool table. The pool was cleaned daily and has loungers with umbrellas. Location has lots of cafes / restaurants / stores within walking distance and you can rent a bike for 200bht pday which includes scratch insurance. They shuttled us to the pier in their resort jeep for less than the local taxi prices. Crazy that it's a 1 star hotel rating.

A kettle with no tea/ coffee or cups, and a tv with no stations from what we could see / find.

Good stay in Koh Tao

Nice and clean pool. Cheap motorbike rental, 200/day for basic or 250/day for newer and better engine. 200 scooter was plenty for us and was cheaper than one taxi ride.

They have a taxi available for hire but unfortunately no free shuttle to/from the pier. The rates are pre-negotiated at the pier so it was 300 for the taxi truck to the resort. TV did not work, no channels seem to work and remote batteries dead. Could not sit in restaurant area by the ocean view unless we dined at the restaurant

Was clean and tidy

The sea view I would say is a partial sea view so we were a bit disappointed upon arrival. It is a bit of a walk into town so we would get taxis but I would definitely recommend getting a bike while staying here, we just weren’t brave enough. The pool area is good. We tried to sit and do some work in the restaurant area attached to the reception but were told we had to buy something to sit there. Although we were staying guests, apparently the restaurant is a separate business although it is within the same building as reception.
