Scuba Square Hostel

Location was insane, literally walk straight out on to the beach, and great eatery places nearby. Also a 2min walk from the ferry port, and literally next to the dock where lots of tours leave from. Lovely view from the hostel/rooftop. Rooms were pretty nice, massive beds! Aircon between 5pm-10am which is fine. Decent common area (although this is right next to the rooms…). Booked some trips & our ferry with them and all went smoothly.

There is pretty minimal security - doors are left open during the day (airflow), they have some small lockers you can use for valuables. But it didn’t bother us, we had locks for our bags in the room. Major issue was noise: we were in the room closest to the stairs, and could easily hear people speaking in the common area, even through earplugs (not the hostel’s fault that a bunch of men were up drunk after going out, but the walls were definitely thin). Could even hear the waves, although that wasn’t a bad thing!

I loved everything in the facility! The rooms were great, toilets and showers too. The view was amazing! Location is also great. I’d come back for sure!

As an older traveller it’s very very basic and loud and quite tatty but for the price shouldn’t complain
