Room ok, Breakfast not included/not existing, Bathroom indications on the doors not easily understandable.

Due to a working area in the neighborhood, it is very complicated to reach the boarding house. Better indications would be appreciated. The walls of the rooms are quite thin, you can hear the sound of a mobile even at 04:00 am ... After 2 days of the check out, I´m still awaiting the invoice... it has been initially promised for the day of check-in... improvement required...

It was clean and the check in was easy

The shared bathroom/toilet didn’t exist in our floor and i had to go one floor up, enter another corridor through yet another door and there was toilet ! And the women’s shower area didn’t have drier and i used the one in the other bathroom. In the kitchen there was only two very old fridge/freezer you wouldn’t know if it is fridge or freezer, and we had to connect the other one to electricity first, as the other one was full and we had stuff to keep in freezer for our road trip…

Really clean and nice family room. Easy access and free private parking. Facilities in the kitchen are good. Common leaving room was cozy.

Close to public transport yet with pretty trees all around. Quiet. neighborhood. Clean and comfortable room and facilities.

The only negative for me was that the women's bathroom was on a different floor than our room. So at night it was a bit inconvenient.

Pleasant

This place is good for a few nights if you are on a budget. Despite being a youth hostel, it is clean. Regarding noise, it really depends on the other guests you will be with. For me, it was a bit loud late in the evening over the weekend, but ther other days were fine. It is a 10-minutes-walk away from a U-Bahn station from which you can reach the city center in about half an hour. All in all, my stay was pleasant.

Far away

It was clean, and relatively cheap compared to other places. No problems with check in or check out. There are shared toilets, bathrooms, kitchen and couple of sofas. Located in a safe and calm district. I recommend you to visit the Volksdorf district nearby to have a breakfast there! Big choice of cafes with nice prices.

-It is way too far from the city center if you use public transport. Although there is U-bahn, but it takes yo 40-50 min to reach central train station from the location of the hostel. - Toilet was located on the other floor which made it quite uncomfortable for us. - No power socket near one of the beds. - Window was right next to U-bahn way which was quite loud, but not at night of course.

We were very happy, the neighborhood is full of greenery, very tranquil.

A lovely, charming boarding house in a secluded corner of Hamburg, Volksdorf. Public transportation (U-Bahn, Bus) and supermarket right around the corner. Tidy kitchen to cook in, TV in a cozy central den. Staff and proprietor very friendly !
