The location was a few minutes walk from Barmbek station, connecting to the U3 circle line and a few stops from the airport, so great for getting to other parts of Hamburg.
The self check in was smooth, there were options for self serve coffee and drinks in the lounge. All was clean and tidy, and it was great to be in a working building/complex with music studios, small business and a refill grocery.
The shower hot water wasn't quite hot enough after 40 hours in planes and airports! Fresh towels or bedding and rubbish removal only available by QR code on Mon-Fri, I arrived Thursday pm so by Sunday I could have used a fresh towel.

Overall, I had a very pleasant experience over the course of two days.
Unfortunately, one notices that the business structure is a bit disjointed and, sadly, sometimes its the owner that doesn’t quite have a grasp on hospitality. Several times, it was the owner himself to make me feel as though I was overstaying my welcome as a paying guest working remotely. I continuously purchased beverages, food, tipped staff, and yet, in the middle of my workday,he asked when I would leave……
Very strange. As someone with over 15 years of international hospitality experience, I would advise that you stay in back-of-house so that you aren’t a detriment to an otherwise beautiful property.
