Perfect stay in the Black Forest with easy access to Freiburg.

Lovely location and easy to park. We were warmly welcomed by a member of the staff, and we appreciated the tour of the property before entering our room. Great honesty bar and breakfast. The spa was also fantastic.

Professional staff, nice room and lovely breakfast.

The hotel and the staff were excellent. Very clean and tranquil, plus the breakfast was really nice. I love a place with an honesty bar too. A nice touch. The stream at the back of the hotel is very relaxing to sit by.

The spa is very basic. Perhaps I should have tried to look a bit further when researching places to stay but it's basically a 1 sauna and 1 foot bath.

We had a wonderful stay here.

The hotel was brilliant- loved the atmosphere and the staff were all lovely. The surrounding countryside was beautiful and a very friendly area.

The only draw back was that our room was very hot - but the view was lovely. Maybe a room at the back would have been cooler but no view.

Good stay to break up our journey

Lovely boutique hotel. Nice sauna, very new. The breakfast was generous. Clean rooms, also lounge and outside area available. Very friendly staff. Easy car parking. Nice small river runs along the garden.

Ver low ceilings for tall people and we had to duck our head to avoid bumping it to get into bathroom (1.80m tall)

Excellent stay in a beautiful area of the Black Forest

This is a perfect hotel for a restful night or two or three in the black forest region. A babbling brook right next to the hotel lulls you to sleep. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. The hotel is very stylish (Vitra Design- beautiful art books, an unusual combination of traditional and modern- with many surprising and enjoyable features. Our dog was welcomed. The breakfast fulfilled every wish I could’ve had more. I can highly recommend this hotel in Glottertal. Thank you.

It’s clean!

Unfortunately, our stay was not as pleasant as we had hoped. The heating in our room was defective and made loud noises throughout the night, which kept us from sleeping for several hours. Although we were eventually offered a different room, the full night was still charged – despite the very uncomfortable situation. We would have appreciated more understanding and goodwill from the hotel management.

Lovely hotel in the wine valley

A lovely little hotel in the Glottertal wine valley. The staff is nice, very service-minded and friendly. We got a great big room with jacuzzi, great privacy and lovely view to the valley and the mountains. The restaurant was also lovely with greatly made local food and breakfast was excellent 😊

Clean and comfortable hotel in a great location for hiking

A very spacious, clean and comfortable room, situated at the back of the hotel so well away from the busy road. Because of the Covid restrictions, breakfast was served in the room. Superb!

Central location and good value for money in beautiful Glottertal

Nice and clean hotel, parts are in typical Black Forest architecture. Busy street in front, but quiet at night. Had a very nice, large room (nr. 9) with 2 balconies, a sitting corner, large TV screen and plenty of cabinets. One of the terraces is above a lovely little river. Bottle of water offered free of charge. Good quality beds. The surroundings of the hotel are excellent for walking.

Wifi connection was not always optimal (2nd floor). Breakfast is very good and complete, however the buffet tables are small and food plates somewhat crammed together, so you need to pay attention that things are not falling on the ground (which happened to me).....

Замечательный отель в красивом колоритном месте

Отличный отель в красивом месте. Завтраки - на 10 баллов, достаточный выбор всего и плюс меню из трех блюд, которое каждый день меняется, получается очень сытно и достаточно до вечера. Рядом много семейных ресторанов с местной кухней и обалденной подачей. СПА не очень большое, но очень уютное, с панорамной сауной на лес и речку и большой террасой. Номера тоже очень уютные, уборка каждый день, есть халаты для спа и много всяких приятных мелочей. Сам городок очень колоритный и очень приятные и гостеприимные местные жители - атмосфера старой доброй Баварии. Около домов на столиках местные соки, яблоки, мед - цена и баночка для денежек или терминал для оплаты картой. Кстати в отеле в обеденной зоне круглосуточно стоят местные вина - оч вкусные, соки, кофе это за отдельную плату если вне завтрака, просто берёшь, а потом говоришь на рецепшене чего и сколько, оплата при выезде. Встречали здесь новый год, понравилось всё, спасибо за гостеприимство! Обязательно хотим вернуться летом!

Ausreichend und Lecker (prima Service!) Zimmer groß und sehr sauber! (zum Wohlfühlen!) Sehr zu erwähnen whirlpool badewanne. Parkplätze direckt vorm Haus und Ausreichend. Gemüdliches Ambiente! Wir haben uns Sehr wohl gefüllt und kommen wieder!

Soggiorno perfetto

Personale puntuale e cordiale. Struttura molto accogliente ricavata da un vecchio mulino, che conserva ancora oggi il suo stile. Colazione buona con prodotti freschi. Camera molto pulita e spaziosa.

Seppur dalle linee oridinata e pulite la camera e la reception forse eccessivamente minimaliste. La camera mancava forse di qualche accessorio in più rapportata alla sua ampiezza (una sedia o un divanetto per esempio).

Wir hatten eine schöne, erholsame Zeit

Die Betten sind der Wahnsinn. Selten so gut gelegen und geschlafen. Die Gegend und die Landschaft sind wunderschön ☺️ Restaurants sind fußläufig zu erreichen und auch toll. Das Frühstück ist sehr abwechslungsreich, frisch und lecker. Hier fehlt es an nichts.

Auf den Zimmern könnte man einen Wasserkocher und Tee hinstellen mit Tassen und Gläsern. Das bekommt man inzwischen so gut wie überall. So muss man um etwas zu trinken immer runter und 3 € für ein Glas Wasser ist auch nicht wenig. Die Designermöbel haben ihren Stellenwert und ich weiß, dass alles schlicht gehalten werden soll. Wir waren ja nur zwei Nächte da, da geht das gut, aus dem Koffer zu leben. Aber bei mehreren Nächten hätten wir uns immerhin einen Schrank gewünscht, indem man etwas ablegen kann. Es gibt nur dieses offene Teil, wo man auch Jacken aufhängt und ein Regal am Eingang. Sonst nichts. Über uns muss eine Privatwohnung gewesen sein. Die Wände sind extrem hellhörig und um 22:30 Uhr ist noch ein kleines Kind über unserem Zimmer rumgerannt und jeder Schritt war extrem laut. Es hat sich angehört la würde über uns ein Umzug stattfinden, was dann etwas stört, wenn man schlafen möchte.

Sehr komfortables Hotel mit herausragendem Service und freundlichem Personal

Dieses inhabergeführte Hotel überzeugt mit einer günstigen Lage, gut ausgestatteten Zimmern, einem hervorragendem Frühstück und vor allem mit dem zuvorkommendem Personal. Auf Wünsche des Gastes wurde umgehend und kompetent reagiert, so bei kurzzeitiger Reservierung eines Tisches im Restaurant und bei Vermittlung einer Weinberg-Führung.

Schönes Hotel mit familiären Flair

Durch die Begrüßung und insgesamt macht das Hotel einen sehr familiären Eindruck, wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt. Besonderes Highlight ist das Frühstück mit unterschiedlichen, kleinen Gerichten, die frisch zubereitet werden.

Das Familienzimmer fanden wir nach der Buchung auf Booking relativ knapp für 4 Personen, konnten aber dankenswerterweise noch ein Zimmer zubuchen.

Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Das Hotel liegt zentral und bietet Parkplätze direkt vor dem Haus. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich. Das Hotel befindet sich in einem ehemaligen Restaurant. Abendessen wird dort derzeit nicht angeboten. Dafür gibt es mehrere Restaurants und Gasthäuser in der Nähe, die man zu Fuß erreichen kann. Die Lage und der Blick vom Hotel sind sensationell. Das Zimmer hatte einen kleinen Balkon mit Blick auf den Fluss. Es gibt schnelles Internet. Getränke kann man sich aus der „Minibar des Vertrauens“ selbst holen. Dort stehen alkoholfreie Getränke und regionale Weine bereit. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut. Neben den Standardangeboten kann man jeden Morgen frisch zubereitete Speisen von der Karte wählen. Wir hatten das Glück, zwei der begehrten Plätze im Pop-up-Restaurant „Wunderfizz“ buchen zu können. Das Angebot kam vom Hotel. Ehrlich gesagt wussten wir nicht, wie gefragt diese Plätze sind. Es war ein großartiger Abend.

Der kleine Schreibtisch und das Bett stehen so dicht beieinander, dass man kaum vorbeikommt. Wer am Schreibtisch sitzt, muss jedes Mal aufstehen, wenn jemand hindurch möchte. Ansonsten war alles perfekt.

Preis / Leistungsverhältnis war nicht gut und hatte das Niveau einer Pension

Positiv: * trotz Verspätung konnten wir nach 20 Uhr noch persönlich einchecken * persönliche Führung zum Hotelzimmer inkl. Begrüßungsgetränk * Parkplatz vor dem Haus * Zimmer / Hotel sehr schön renoviert

Negativ: * Hotelzimmer unter dem Dach war sehr warm, schlechte Belüftung * Zimmer zur Straße sehr laut, bei geöffneten Fenster ( bis 22 Uhr viel Verkehr am Hotel, danach Veranstaltung am Haus und ab 6 Uhr wieder reger Verkehr am Hotel! * Zimmer sehr spärlich eingerichtet, 1 Bett, 1 Tisch, 1 Stuhl, 1 Sessel und 1 offene Garderobe und das für ein Deluxe Zimmer - Preis für eine Übernachtung 240 Euro!?!! ( siehe beigefügte Bilder, machen Sie sich Ihr eigenes Bild ) * Badezimmer kein Fenster und eine sehr schlechte Belüftung * Frühstück sehr uebersichtlich u.a. nur 2 mal Aufschnitt (Schinkenwurst und Schinken), keine gekochten Eier, Rührei sehr fettig, kein Organgensaft oder Multivitaminsaft) u.v.m. Zusätzlich anzumerken, dass der Wellnessbereich nur von 16.00 Uhr bis 20.00 Uhr nutzbar ist. Bei einem Preis von 240 Euro für eine Übernachtung eines Deluxe Doppelzimmer, darf und muss erheblich mehr erwartet werden. Siehe Bilder... In dieser Preiskategorie sind es halt viele Gäste gewohnt, einen Fernseher, ein Telefon, einen Schrank oder vielleicht eine Minibar auf dem Zimmer zu haben, so dass man nicht durch das ganze Hotel laufen muss, um im Bedarfsfall etwas Trinkbares zu holen. Wiederholenswert

Das Frühstück war außergewöhnlich gut. Das personal sehr nett und hilfsbereit in allen Belangen. Auf dem Zimmer und im Saunabereich hätten ein paar Kissen oder Decken sein dürfen; damit man sich besser anlehnen kann. Das war sehr spartanisch. Ansonsten sehr schön eingerichtet, schöner, kleiner Saunabereich und toller Garten mit Blick auf den Fluss.

Woher kommen die vielen guten Bewertungen

Absolut gutes Design (jedoch leidet darunter die Funktion)

Es fehlt an allem, was von einem Zimmer in der Preislage zu erwarten ist: kein Schrank, Ablageregale zu klein, keine Schublade, kein Safe, kein Stuhl, kein Fernseher, kein Telefon (Notfall, Concierge), keine Notfallnummer, ab 20h keine Besetzung Rezeption, kein Amenity, Kit, Koffer muss auf dem Fussboden geöffnet werden, nicht einmal Kofferdchutzdecke auf dem Bett, kein Nachtisch nur Miniablage. Unter Bar werden Kühlschränke und Kaffeemaschine mit Selbstbedienung verstanden, kein Kühlschrank verstanden, kein Kühlschrank, kein Wasser auf dem Zimmer, etc.etc. Frühstück mit diversen halb geöffneten, unappetitlichen Plastikbecher (Johurt, Muslime, etc.), man fragt sich, wie lange stehen die schon dort.
