A conveniently located although slightly overpriced and overrated hotel

The fact that parking could not be reserved (although I got one spot) and that for a 4 star hotel I would have expected better facilities overall

Aircon didn’t work so my room was a sweatbox - stale cigarette smell throughout the hotel

It was very quiet and central to the city so I could walk everywhere. Staff were friendly.

The biggest problem was that the aircon did not work at all during my stay. It was the only reason I booked this hotel. Consequently I couldn’t hide from the heat in my room in the daytime as I had planned - it was 27-29 celcius every day. This made it very hard to sleep at night - the room was a sweatbox. Lift only goes to the 3rd floor, I was on the 4th so had to walk up the stairs from 3 to 4. And as previous reviews mentioned there is a persistent stale cigarette smell throughout the building despite it being a no smoking hotel (sign in the bedroom also confirmed it was non smoking).

Two night stay for work.

Location, parking, breakfast, TV channel selection

Only one pillow on the bed, WiFi was unstable, noisy from early morning since my window was looking at the unloading bay of the next door supermarket.

Great location and welcoming staff

The staff are extremely friendly and welcomimg. There is a great breakfast and the location is perfect for the historic old town. Car parking is also very handy. The welcome for our dog was also great.

Perfect for a short two night stay in Freiburg.

Exceptionally good breakfast. The choice was phenomenal. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Good central location, although I was slightly concerned when I first saw the hotel but once through the doors all was good. Bathroom was a bit dated but good shower with plenty of hot water. Air conditioning in room. Lovely comfortable bed. Paid to park the car in underground car park.

It wasn’t a traditional looking hotel. Probably 60/70s building.

Good 3 star hotel located in the town centre. Room size was average, bed was comfortable and breakfast very good. Wifi was hood but not secure.

Three steps before access to lift at ground level so bags had to be lifted.

Personnel is super friendly, the room was great in all aspects (shower, slept well, heating, quiet, dark, etc…). Nice breakfast with plenty of choice.

-10mins walk from the main station, in the heart of old city -THE best breakfast -very cheerful and attentive staff

-the room was dated -somehow the toilet smelled awful all the time -maybe I was bad luck, the people stayed on my floor loved to drag furniture at night and talk along corridor
