to be recommended, hotel with character and very good price /quality

It is an old hotel, nicely refurbished with modern and comfortable rooms (bathrooms a little squeezed but very modern); the breakfast room is very beautiful and the staff serving breakfast nice and helpful.

The staff at the reception is a little cold and does not seem to have been trained for the job; not unfriendly but just not friendly; and I speak of two different staff. They seem a little unconcerned by the clients, they are helpful but a smile does not harm..

Close to train station and comfortable

Friendly and helpful staff, coffee available 24 hours downstairs, nice room with lots of windows that opened, fridge in room, sauna and small fitness room. Elevators always helpful.

A bit noisy since our room faced the building next door where they were playing music for dance lessons, also the shower is awkward. When you open the shower door, it moves the floor mat, the spray hose can’t be positioned to anything other than the shower door and the water temperature fluctuates a lot between hot and cold.

Great hotel in Freiburg

We had great experience. The staff made it all to feel us welcomed. The front desk team was very friendly and efficient, ensuring that our check-in process was smooth and hassle-free. In addition to that they have been very helpful during our stay. The location of the hotel is perfect. It’s situated in a vibrant part of the city, close the restaurants, shops, and attractions. Whether you’re looking to explore the local culture or just relax, everything is within easy reach. The neighbourhood felt safe and lively, which added to the overall enjoyment of our stay. I also want to give a special shout-out to the housekeeping staff. They apparently are doing an outstanding job to keep the room and the whole facility clean and comfortable every day. One additional feature I appreciated was the hotel’s charging stations for electrical cars. They were conveniently located and offered a reasonable price. Do not forget to make your reservation if you need to charge your car.

Good hotel for a 1-night stay

The room was spacious, quiet and dark at night (which was great for a good night's sleep). We liked the location a lot, as we needed to continue our travels by train the following day.

One of my kids crawled under the sofa bed and found a half eaten nacho and someone else's water bottle. Otherwise, the room was clean. The staff at the reception also seemed to be annoyed by their jobs and we didn't feel super welcome. But maybe they just had a bad day...

We were only here for one night but glad we chose this well-located and comfortable hotel.

Great location, easy walk to the old town. Breakfast was very nice in lovely old dining room that overlooks Colombi Park. We were in a suite on the top floor - the bed was exceptionally comfortable!

The ‘suite’ we were in was quite small, with two small shower rooms and 2 televisions but not much space or natural light. Overall, I thought it was expensive for what we actually received.

Enjoyable stay in very good location

Brilliant location very close to lovely old town and opposite a park. Short walk from the station. Tea/coffee making facilities in room and in residents’ lounge were great. Breakfast was very good but quite expensive. Everywhere was clean and comfortable.

Pleasant stay in a beautiful city.

Excellent location near to the station and the centre. The staff were great, friendly and helpful. Free tickets for local public transport was an unexpected bonus. The guest lounge offered self service free tea and coffee all day.

Our room overlooked the main road and unfortunately there were roadworks being carried out which started around 8am every morning and were very noisy (not the hotel's fault). In fairness we were offered a move to a quieter room at the back but it was a smaller room and we couldn't be bothered to move all our stuff. The wifi was slow and not very reliable.

Very good location, excellent attention. Quite room, beautiful views over the parc /botanic garden. Very beautiful breakfast room. Cozy, quite and ellegant.

Attention: to access the hotel via the main entrance there are many stairs until you reach the reception: if you have bulky luggage or wheelchair is not good. They had a funny environmental policy, that they don^t tidy your room unless you ask for it. Since this is very unusual in hotels, one could forget to explicitly request the cleaning.

The location of the hotel can't be beat. 5min from the main station and 5min from the old city center. Perfect. The breakfast is also really good, with an excellent selection.

Would've loved to benefit from my BW gold member early check in which was not possible. Room was tiny, which was ok for 1 person but would've been really tight for 2. Room could've been warmer.

We were there to celebrate our 45th wedding Anniversary.

Location was superb ,and the bonus of travel card to use on trams ,bus, and local trains was superb. The use of tea and coffee in the lounge area was very good.

The price of breakfast was too high. The coffee machine ran out too often.

I would stay here again

Great location, just a few blocks from the train station, so easy to walk from there, and also a short walk the the city center. Lots of food choices nearby, both restaurants and markets. Very good breakfast (18 Euros) although breakfast room was overcrowded. Comfortable bed and bedding. Very clean. Fridge and electric kettle in room. Prides itself on being green. Friendly and helpful staff. I would stay here again.

I stayed alone in a double room. It was fine for me, but I think it would have been a small room and especially bed for two people to share. Breakfast room was overcrowded. This was not a problem for me, but others should know there are maybe 10 steps you'll need to carry your luggage up before you access the lobby. From there, there are elevators to other floors.

One member of staff was unwelcoming, but the others were great. The road was noisy but the windows were double glazed to soften this.
