Exactly as required for a business trip to Freiburg

Nicely traditional while also being fully modern and confortable. Good welcome, especially worked well for out of hours arrival/departure. Very handy for station and city center.

Very quaint vibes, hearty delicious breakfast spread, conveniently located near the central train station. Best of all would be that the staff are absolutely kind and friendly; after already checking out at 12pm, we asked the receptionist if we could chill and wait at the dining area for an hour as we wait for our bus out of town, and the receptionist was very kind to let us and told us to help ourselves with the drinks/ espresso machine. Will highly recommend this place to anyone considering ☺️

Exceptional location for early trains

Exactly what I was hoping for - a quick clean one night stop close to train station. Staff very helpful + location exceptional. In/out - clean + close to Munster shops for evening meal. Couldn’t have asked for better.

Exceptional Service

Cute little hotel in a great location with incredibly friendly staff. Everyone was so nice. I appreciated that they shared the story of how the hotel was converted from a female dormitory. I only needed a single for one night and this was perfect for a quick stay.

We very much enjoyed our stay and would absolutely stay again.

Our room had very nice modern amenities and was comfortable and clean. The location was very good - right near the train station but also with very close access to the city center.

Our room was on the ground floor, and while internal hotel noise was minimal, we did have some external noise from the street outside (people shouting, car doors slamming).

Good place to stay

Great location with nice breakfast and the room had air conditioning. You could set your own temperature making the room comfortable for sleeping. Staff was very nice and helpful. Hotel was an easy walk to train station

It was an old style hotel, which had all the modern features that you need. It was also only a seven minutes walk from the train station.

Lovely hotel in a very convenient location.

The breakfast was lovely. Our bed was very comfortable and it was a nice room, very quiet.

The three flights of stairs to get to our room - they had warned us this was a possibility and I didn't take the opportunity to ask to be on a lower floor.

bringing the suitcases up to the third floor on stairways is not an easy job, although the hotel warned me of that in advance so that I had packed my luggage accordingly (small but heavy bag and large but light suitcase).

Nothing. With no elevator four floors was a lot to bring down our cases but this did not affect our stay or score. We would happily stay again. It was homelike and lovely.

Location and environment were ideal for a traveling couple.

Loved the simple and functional design of the room. The hotel was charming and historic while also modern. Location was perfect for exploring the Old Town. Appreciated the air conditioning and drinkable tap water.

Our bed shared a wall with the main hotel staircase. Being no elevator on location, we experienced some noise as people were using the stairs and could hear people in the lobby below

Charming hotel with a local feel and very good comfort. Excellent breakfast with a large choice of products, including local and organic ones. Central location, close to the train station and the downtown area, and with a pleasant park just nearby. Very nice and helpful staff. Comfortable room. Nice touches like available drinks during the day in the living room, and access to a small back garden.

This was a great place to stay for visiting this city! The reception staff were very friendly and the breakfast was amazing . The breakfast chef was so helpful and provided an excellent meal . The car parking is easy and fare price . Bedroom very clean .

Classically Beautiful Rooms and Hotel with wonderfully kind and helpful owners and staff

The owners and staff are amazingly gracious and helpful. The room was absolutely beautiful in a classic and elegant way. The updates made to make the rooms modern did not strip away the historic charm of the room, common spaces in the hotel, and fine details - it is elegant and classically gorgeous, but with updated bathrooms and plenty of modern power outlets. The breakfast is wonderful. The location gives very easy access to the main train station and is in easy walking distance of the Munsterplatz and other places visitors come to see. We loved, loved, loved this hotel.

The internet was a little spotty, slow and challenging to connect to at times. Many of the tv channels did not get a signal. Both of these are extremely minor things that did not take away from how much we loved the hotel and appreciated the kindness of the owners and staff.

Good location and comfortable stay

Hotel was located close to the railway station and within walking distance of the city centre. Staff friendly and hotel clean. Breakfast was fine - the usual continental offerings. Shower was small, but fine.

We were on the top floor and as there was no lift had to carry a number of heavy bags up to our room, after a long day's travel. However, this was mentioned in other reviews and I understand why it is not possible to have a lift in the building. If we stayed here again the staff suggested we request a room on a lower floor.

Quaint historic hotel in the middle of everything

This is a quaint, historic hotel just a couple of blocks from the main station on a quiet street. It is close to all the main attractions and they serve an excellent breakfast for a reasonable extra charge.
