I finally got to try the ship

I had passed this place many times in the past and was happy to have a chance to stay this time. I liked that it was close to Dreisamstadion because I was there for the women's match. Bad outcome there but exciting for 75 minutes. The guy from the kitchen gave me the key to check in a little early. The room was plenty big enough for me and the bed was comfortable. It was warm and the breakfast was good, too.

I don't handle stairs that well anymore.

Beautiful, Cozy and great ambiance

Breakfast was good. Had everything we needed for a good start to our day. I loved that there was a restaurant and they had a DJ playing down at the bar. We did not have to go far to eat or enjoy our nights there. The staff were great and so helpful. Loved it.

Not much parking in front. Made it difficult to figure out where we can park to take down our luggage but they do have a parking garage.

Exceptional

The building is a historic landmark so there is no elevator. A staff member was helpful in helping us bring the suitcases upstairs. The breakfast room was beautiful and the breakfast selection was good. We had a very nice stay.

We did not like that there was no parking available but 4 spots that were taken. We were lucky that we came on a Sunday evening and parking was free across the street on the weekend days.

Sailing through Freiburg

The rooms are very comfortable, clean and spacious. They are very good isolated because you don’t hear anything during the nigth. Breakfast is good, and has several options to eat (salty, sweet…) The staff is very helpful and kindly. The hotel is 25 minutes by foot to the center and 10 minutes by tram, what is close to the hotel.

Excellent location, food and room - suitable for motor cycle touring

Excellent location for access to Freiburg, safe parking for motorbikes, smart room and excelllent food in restaurant. Found a couple of excellent traditional german restaurants within walking distance if the prices in the restaurant are too high.

Maybe a little more storage in the room, but that's maybe a small point

Good place

The room was nice, clean and i even had a fan. The breakfast was tasty as well, especially coffee. The hotel staff is very welcoming and friendly. Axel shared nice recommendations for visiting Freiburg.

The rooms face the street so it is quite loud if the windows are open. Since it is a summer time it is hot and stuffy if windows are closed. So it was hard to sleep.

Nice room

Very nice and big room. Both bathroom and room were clean and new. Very good location: 25 minutes walking to the center or 2 minutes walking from the tram station. Supermarket 5 min walking distance

We went for breakfast at 8.45 (breakfast was until 9.30) and the choice was limited because some products were finished.

Highly recommend this lovely hotel with wonderful service

Beautiful property with a fantastic restaurant. Great location, very convenient to downtown.

The breakfast offerings weren’t as good as at other properties but most likely because of Covid and a very low guest count.

Superb

Great hotel. On motorbike tour of southern Germany with friends. Free parking outside hotel. Short walk into centre of Freiburg which is a beautiful town with lots of great bars and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again on future trips

Overall a good stay!

Room was to our expectation and food in the Beer Garden was excellent.

Breakfast Buffet was on the very basic side, a little more choice would have been great !

A warm welcome

This was a return visit to this hotel and area. Unfortunately after our long drive the rain was torrential. We were delighted when the very helpful staff allowed us to check in early, dry off and were able to provide food.

Unfortunately due to our early departure we were unable to enjoy breakfast.
