Hotel am Rathaus

Great location. Good breakfast. Friendly staff

Room was very hot. Bottled water was provided just on the first night of our 3 night stay. Would have liked a coffee machine (or kettle) in the room. These are little niggles - would still want to stay here again if in the area.

The location is very good, near the Rathaus and handy for trams. Breakfast was good.

A good breakfast buffet, supervised by Vennie who was brilliant at making sure everyone had what they needed. Thne tables were cleared regularly and quickly, stock on the buffet was kept topped up and he always had a smile for everyone

The location was ideal. Very close to main tram stops, easy to navigate around the city. The breakfast was excellent, loads of choice and very high quality. The staff are wonderful, nothing is too much trouble.

We are from the United States. We drove a car to this hotel. Neither Google maps or Waze apps could accurately give directions to this hotel. Unfortunately, we had forgotten that parking wasn't at the hotel. When we arrived, we called the hotel to find the exact hotel location. Google Maps was no help. The hotel phone was busy. So we kept driving around for another ten minutes, still unable to locate the hotel. We called again and reached the hotel reception. He said he had other customers when we called the first time. By now, we're very upset and aggravated that we don't know where the hotel is located and what our parking options are. Admittedly, I wasn't pleasant to the receptionist. He was trying to help us find the parking garage we could use since Google Maps was no help. The receptionist gave us the garage name, but as mentioned Google Maps wasn't useful. The receptionist stayed on the line while we drove around looking for the parking. Had we known the parking garage was past the big bank, we would have saved a lot of time. This issue could have been avoided if a map to the parking garage had been provided with the check-in instructions or emailed since the hotel parking garage was full and wasn't an option. After we checked in and I calmed down, I apologized to the receptionist. (In case I'm not clear, I never used foul language or screamed, I just talked a little heatedly.) We would not book this hotel again with booking.com or the hotel directly. We do not recommend this hotel if you are arriving via car.

Good location, good breakfast

The building has rooms on 2 sides. One side looks over a nice square and the other doesn't. We unfortunately got a room that is on the wrong side, on the 2nd floor, so had no view at all, just of a wall and ventilation pipes. The problem is that this isn't reflected in the price. They price the room according to the size of the bed so we paid a lot of money for a very poor view. Also whilst the rooms appear quite stylishly decorated, they actually have very few facilities so it feels like a stylish version of a premier inn. No fridge, small towels, no tea and coffee facilities, no toiletries other than soap, no vanity set etc. Basically I found the room very poor value for money and expected a lot more considering the price.

Es hat uns alles gut gefallen . Die Garage ist nicht ganz unkompliziert zu erreichen, aber natürlich ein tolles Angebot in dieser zentralen Lage.
