Great location, excellent value for money, character hotel.

The location was excellent midway between the train station and the old town centre. We could see the cathedral spire from our window. I liked the character of the hotel with references to local writers and the personal attention. There was a good range of restaurants in easy walking distance.

A very enjoyable stay.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was quiet and the bed was very comfortable. It was in a great location. The breakfast was delicious.

Perfectly comfortable and a great location for a short city visit

Very well appointed room, very clean and comfortable. The hotel is very well located. Garaging was excellent, and there was even some cleaning materials for cleaning car windscreens, etc.

Breakfast was disappointing. There were no hot options, and very often the cold meats and cheeses had run out and took a long time to be replenished. The breakfast room is not big enough for the number of guests staying. We had to share a table with strangers, but other guests were having breakfast in the corridor by reception.

Superb staff who really care 😊

I had an exceptionally good experience with the staff. Stupidly, I left some things in my room. The staff made a huge effort to post it to me to arrive at my next destination. I don't recommend leaving things behind...but the service of the staff for me was exemplary.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the art and literary links most interesting.

Its location was perfect for exploring the old city. There were supermarkets close by and many restaurants and yet the location overlooking the park was so pretty.

Overall, a great experience.

The hotel was in a great location, very clean and the staff were very helpful. We were given tram and bus tickets free of charge which was an added bonus.

There was some noise from the park next to the hotel but no problem during the night. There was also a badly fitting glass sliding door to the bathroom which was not great in terms of privacy but we were able to work round it.

Four days in walkable Old Town Freiburg

Charming, clean and conveniently walkable to main train station, trams, cathedral, restaurants, old town. Hotel has associations with many German writers and intellectuals and the decor features walls of books. We were in one of a kind room 113, a lovely high ceilinged room with a balcony, big windows overlooking park, view of Munster spire. Very nice breakfast in bright morning room with lovely coffee. Friendly helpful multilingual staff. We were able to safely store our bags after checkout at noon on our last day because we were taking a late train to Frankfurt.

Nothing not to like! We were visiting our son who lives in Freiburg and we were so comfortable at the hotel, we plan to stay at the Park Hotel Post when we come again.

Great experience in Freiburg and the Hotel was just perfect for all accommodations & location!

We arrived into Freiburg by train and the hotel was only a 5 minute walk on beautiful street. Hotel amenities were just right for us with a perfect buffet breakfast. Loved every bit of the hotel, its ambiance and staff were exceptional...we would definitively recommend staying there and will stay there again.

The breakfast was ok, but could be improved. You must order the coffee and there was only one person staffing the tables and she was quite busy. So I was able to order coffee only once. My coffee got cold and I couldn't order another one. The hotel could provide a coffee machine for guests to serve themselves. Little variety of fruits and the fruit salad was not fresh.

Friendly and comfortable hotel very close to the old town.

This is a friendly, characterful, family-run hotel in an excellent location very close to the old town. The breakfast was very good, with a wide choice of foods. For us it was a real bonus to have secure basement parking.
