Lovely location and warm welcome. Good option for larger family.

Staff all very welcoming and helpful. Beautiful location- very quiet. Family of 5 accommodated in one room /apartment. Lots of places of interest within short driving distances.

Kitchenette only consisted of stove and kettle- some kind of small grill/oven would be useful for a longer stay. Very hot when we stayed here (mid summer) and no A/C.

Very, very good!

There was a beautiful and hot Sauna! We got a nice appartment with a great view to the south. Staff/owner very nice and helpful. The food was very good in the restaurant - not 'haute couisine', but good for the price.

- Amazing location - The room was big and cozy

- Kitchen was highly unequipped (pen, sharp knives) and didn't have an exhaust hood which made the room unpleasant if you Plan to cook in it. - The room got clean once in our 6 day stay, and the floor wasn't vacuumed. - The room can't be totally dark, which can be a problem for some at summer. - There was a mild machine noise that was at night as well. It bothered only me though.

Great mountain hiking & relax

Location was great, very quiet and calm nature surroundings. Very close to nice hiking trails and small villages. The apartment was spacious with a small kitchen having everything necessary if you wish to prepare your own meal/salad. Sauna facilities were also very nice. Furniture new and clean, very functional. Staff friendly and helpful

The location, the tranquillity, the style

There is no second chance for a first impression, especially when you are at the front desk. If you are busy, I totally understand but a smile and a short “I get back to you in a minute” is enough for me. I found not very polite to be ignored for 2 minutes but perhaps it’s a cultural barrier.

Beautiful place undermined by stingy management

Beautiful location and nice, new facilities. However, ultimately the stay was undermined by the stingy policies of the management (not refunded anything although I left 4 nights early) and some rather unfriendly staff. I would not return.

Great family vacay with kids in heart of nature!

Spacious fully equipped family apartments. Superb location surrounded by forest. Top attractions near by. Tranquility and beautiful nature straight from your balcony or hotel terrace. Kids were happy to hang there :)

Right into the forest!

This was a last minute booking as our plans had changed, and what a pleasant surprise it was. We loved everything about this place and wished that we could’ve stayed longer. The location is perfect, you step outside and right onto hiking trails, gorgeous views all around, the most delicious food we had during our stay, and everything is bio. We stayed with a toddler, and had a great time. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Great place, and we hope to visit again 😊

pleasent place to stay in deep nature . more local visitors oriented.

the property is located in scenery mounatin top. our rooms overlook a beautiful view of both the woods and the towns. sunsets were amazing. watching the night sky filled with stars from the property was wonderful. it is a great place for those who look for a peacful stay.

while the place is beautifully decorated, we felt that the surrounding grounds can be developed better. there should be better options for children activity (even though the place is not children oriented). the attitude of people at the reception was a bit uncheerful (felt like the place is not really used to having foriegn visitors). we were not given any info about the area or any of the options offered at the hotel. very limited info in english. the breakfast in our opinion was overpriced while the quality and espiceally the variety did not meet the price. very few use of vegetebales and very limited options in breakfast meals (again - the place is rather more german visitor oriented)

very nice hotel, would come back anytime!

very nice innovative hotel with a green touch on top of the Schauinsland mountain. Our apartment under the roof was awesome and we even had a partial view down to the city of Freiburg from our balcony. Our beds were very comfortable.The wifi worked very well and there is a sauna on the premises and a breakfast buffet is offered in the mornings for an extra charge. There is also a restaurant on the premises. The staff at the reception was very nice and friendly.

I was positively surprised by the amazing location and overall quality and style of the hotel

An exceptional experience due to the very unique location, view, cleanliness of the room. Not to forget the restaurant with a nice mixed menu as well as a healty good breakfast. A super friendly staff is welcoming you to the hotel, explaining all facilities and amenities as well as options to spend a great time.

There has not been anything I didn't like. Maybe the possibility to make a coffee in the room, but I think the coffee machine in the breakfast room is accessible most of the time.

it is in a quiet area, perfect for biking, hiking in summer. if you are looking for a relaotime, it is perfect place. well maintained, clean, good food.

for zhe 3 days of stay, they did not changed the menu, and here you have limited options for lunch/dinner. what was on the menu, was tasty.
