Good location but terrible internet

The location is convenient, with hiking trails just 30 minutes away on foot and the city center about 40 minutes. There's a tram stop right outside, connecting to both the city center and the main train station (Hbf) in approximately 15 minutes. The rooms are simple and spotless.

If you need a reliable internet connection, I would suggest finding an alternative. The best download speed we experienced was a mere 2mb/s, which barely supported browsing, let alone remote work or streaming. Despite notifying the hotel both via booking.com and directly at the front desk, no technician ever showed up over the course of our 10day stay. As a result, we ended up using about 80GB of mobile data as we had planned to work remotely for a few days. Additionally, there are no co-working spaces nearby.

nice stay in Freiburg

very nice apartments, furnished with modern style and equipped with everything needed for a short stay. On the ground floor a welcome area for leisure and reading. Very good connection to the city centre via tram just out of the door

Staff and location

It looked like the room had not been rented out for a while. It's position was poor on the main road side and we were pestered with traffic late and early the morning. The lighting in the apartment was very very poor and as a result of poor weather not enough natural light came into the apartment which made reading difficult The freezer compartment was completely frozen over/ unable to shut it and we were unable to use it for our stay... which was annoying. There were no dishwasher tablet provided for a weeks stay. No antislip mats were available for the shower. There were no coffee pods nor tea provided only a few drops of washing up.liquid in the bottle Everything bar the freezer compartment which was u/s for the whole stay was rectified by the kind lady on reception.. but this shouldn't have happened . We don't like complaining... we want it to be right when we get there!

Quiet, clean, everything felt new enough (not worn down) - fulfilled all expectations -> genuine recommendation

We had problems with the card reader in one of the elevators quite often. Cleaning rules appeared to be quite unclear - once a week, but not clear when and then suddenly you’re disturbed by the room service with, in short, “we gonna clean, right now or never”. Fair to say, they were friendly and quickly brought essential replacements that we asked for instead letting them in.

I loved the design, the cleanliness, the self checkin was also interesting.

I paid for a sound proof room, yet I could hear my neighbour talking on the phone for a lot of the night unfortunately. that was very disappointing.

I book often Black F and i like it here, but this time...

The room was not really a M but kinda S, since it had no couch as usual and was much smaller. But the receptionist said no it is a M and not all Ms are equal big and have a couch? So i would say they should name it S and not M if they are not as big as other Ms?

A lovely place to stay

Lovely studio, clean and super comfy. The whole building is actually new and very nicely decorated. Checkin-checkout can be done also electronically, The flat's Kitchenware and its whole furnishing is brand new, modern and of good quality. The window (more like a balcony door) could be fully open letting lots of day light and air into the room; very refreshing 😎 Protected grid outside the window provided. The bathroom is big with nice light, showering in there is just a pleasure! Just outside the main entrace is a tram station to the city centre, riding time ca 20 min. There are more tram lines bit further down, like 5-8 min walk, while a Kaufland supermarket is just across the hotel. I really enjoyed my 4 days in Black F House 👌

The only point needs improvement is the bad internet quality; at least at the side of the building where my studio was, 3rd floor, backyard.

Flawless until the mini-fridge compressor kicked in.

Very well designed. Very well equipped kitchen. High end coffee. Morning view was beautiful. Double glass doors isolate traffic noise. All common facilities well maintained.

My experience was ruined by the loud minifridge compressor. It would kick on every hour and sounded like a drill. I was there for only 2 nights on the weekend so did not make any complaints. What a pity. Would like to stay there again if they sorted out this flaw.
