Highly recommend this beautiful, historic hotel in the center of old town.

The staff was wonderful and very accommodating. The room was lovely and the bed so comfortable. We faced the cathedral which had beautiful organ music playing. Truly an awe inspiring view! The breakfast was wonderful as well!

Great spot in a beautiful town which made a wonderful break in the Black Forest

We were located in the annex behind the restaurant, but was quiet and location was perfect. Short walk to the restaurant for breakfast, which was plentiful and excellent. Bed was conformable, the hotel was spotless and big bathroom with great water pressure

Great hotel in old town Freiburg with wonderful staff.

Location excellent, staff fantastic and breakfast very traditional.

I think a little more communication regarding the parking would have helped. There are only 3 parking spaces available for the whole hotel which is probably not conveyed at the point of booking. On reflection i'm pleased I didn't cancel my booking as the hotel staff and location made for a great time. The public car parks suggested are safe, secure and reasonably cheap.

The window opened up to look out directly over Freiburgs Munster Platz, an absolute fairytale!😍 Staff were so friendly and accommodating, the room was clean, comfortable and nostalgically gorgeous. The food was great too and I could highly recommend the Martini Pomegranate!!

Centrally located and absolutely full of charm, with lovely staff

This hotel's location on the square opposite the city's beautiful Gothic cathedral is absolutely ideal. If you're coming into town for the annual Wine Festival, this hotel may be ideal for you. This place is an old favorite of mine, and it was a pleasure to visit it again. Also, don't miss the terrific restaurant downstairs.

Perfect!

We loved the location. On the days that we were hanging in the city we could walk everywhere. For our day trips to Alsace we had a rental car.

Leaving was difficult. We fell in love with Freiberg. It is an amazing city.

Lovely stay in Freiburg. Hotel is perfectly located amid shops and markets and you can’t beat the cathedral view.

The location to the markets and the cathedral was perfect. Beautiful view of the cathedral from our hotel window. Room was large and spacious. Christmas gift bag with treats left at the door was a nice touch.

Had to roll our luggage through an alley to another building up and some stairs before reaching the elevator. The floors creaked in the room. Not a big deal, just annoying. The deep tub was hard to get in and out of and not slip resistant. Would have preferred a walk in shower but in all fairness didn’t specifically request one. I’ve since learned most hotels in Europe have the same deep tubs.

Pleasant hotel, excellent location, excellent trout

A comfortable, hotel in a period building which comes in two parts, each with its own entrance, one facing the cathedral in the main square and the other a quiet street. I was in the latter section in a prettily decorated antique-style room. The atmospheric dining room in the section of the building which faces the main square serves very good, if no frills, food. I can recommend the trout. Short walk to the railway station, friendly, helpful service and fresh apples in the bedroom.

Good stay mainly because of location.

Location is superb. Breakfast was excellent with a lot of variety. The room was spacious and comfortable with a fabulous view of the cathedral.

I wish there was 24x7 front desk facility. Internet wasn’t working at all. For this reason, I may not stay here again.

Great location but you will not get a good nights sleep.

Amazing location in the city center next to great restaurants and the market.

The bed and pillows were very uncomfortable, felt like I was sleeping on cardboard and the pillow was like a thin airplane pillow. Not one you would expect from a bnb or hotel.

Everything was just fantastic. The hotel, the location, the staff. Absolutely loved our stay at this quaint hotel. The staff, both at the reception, and at the restaurant was extremely polite kind and helpful. Totally recommend this place.
