Beautiful suite in an amazing location right by the castle

Beautiful suite of rooms. You have a lovely bedroom with a spacious living area and the apartment we had also had a sun terrace. The room have coffee and tea facilities as well as a fridge. The bed was super comfortable. The shower fantastic. The location is right in the middle of the old town by the castle so lots of bars and restaurants nearby. If the window are open you hear the noise of the bars but the bedroom is at the back and is surprisingly quiet. The hosts could not be more helpful. I would definitely stay there again.

Breathtaking castle views and exceptional accommodations!

De Waterzooi was such a lovely place to stay! We stayed in the 1st floor suite and it far exceeded our expectations. The view you won't believe it until you see it! The castle looked fake almost through the large windows. Location was perfect. The room was beyond spacious with a huge living area with very comfortable sectional couch and amazing views of the castle. The bedroom was cozy and the bed was memory foam with controls for each side to adjust height. The rain shower was great. We also had a private terrace with lounge chairs that was lovely to sit on and enjoy a glass of wine and Belgian beers! Above all the owners were so kind and accommodating. The breakfast is worth the extra charge. It was by far the best breakfast we received all trip. We even received a parting gift which was a lovely touch. Would absolutely stay here again if I'm lucky enough to return to Ghent.

Beautiful Blend of Modern and Medieval

Phenomenal! The staff were exceptional, giving great advice about the area and providing delicious breakfast. The B&B is in a fantastic location, with views of Gravensteen and easy walking or tram access to much of the city. The bed was very comfortable, and the lounge boasted a lovely sofa, good-sized TV, and warm lighting. Due to the weather, we didn't make much use of the balcony sun-loungers, but we'd love to try them in the future. The medieval stonework blended wonderfully into modern features, and our apartment felt beautifully romantic. Would highly recommend and hope to return one day!

This is one of our most favorite accommodations we have stayed at. It's luxurious, well-located, comfortable, etc.! Having the bonus sitting room was a huge plus, and the views of the castle across the street were great. The noise (not bad considering really) is even less due to the door separating the bedroom from the sitting room - literally could not ask for better. The decor is so beautiful and just brings the feeling of relaxation into mind! The tub is amazing and providing bath bubbles was a step beyond incredible. Some of the nicest hosts too, who go well above and beyond. I cannot stress enough how much extra they put into their hosting. We have already told multiple friends of this place and some that are even considering staying when they take a trip to Ghent.

The best stay in all of Ghent!

The loveliest guesthouse we've ever stayed in! Kay & Christian are very welcoming and have designed a gorgeous house with the guest's best comfort in mind. The house itself is very unique and from your room (or rather suite) you have a gorgeous view onto the Gravensteen castle and square. The breakfast was super lovely, so I do recommend you having it! I hope we get an opportunity to come back, because this stay was the absolute best!

Far far exceeded our expectations. By far the best B&B we have ever stayed in. Location was perfect for walking around Ghent. Room itself was far better than we had imagined from the photographs. Excellent size, and had everything you could need. Very very comfy bed and great shower. Hosts were absolutely incredible, very friendly and helpful and have absolutely perfected their B&B. We would recommend staying here and would definitely stay again ourselves!

Warm welcome even though we arrived a bit late. Nice comfortable room with great view. Quiet bedroom in the back with a nice bed. All kinds of things provided for every need. Great location for venturing out into Ghent. Please have an appetite for a nice long breakfast as it is fantastic and prepared fresh by the hostess.

The property is the best place so far i have been booked. It is absolute more them i expected. Location was in front of the castle and in the center of everything but at same time so quite inside of my room i could not hear the noise outside. The space we have was super nice with our leaving room and fire DVD make my stay with my boyfriend ever better and super romantic. Kay and Cristian was the best host i never meet before. So sweet and they helped us in everything. The breakfast OMG something you have to book because is so special and unique and made with a lot of love and so many options was so good i must say. The property and everything is made with a lot of love and i will for sure go back there as soon as i can. They also left free drinks to us there i was very surprise about it and they also think about every detail to make your stay one of the best. I love you guys thanks for everything.

Une suite chargée d'histoire pour le plus beau "OUI" de ma vie, orchestré par des hôtes en or.

Il y a des lieux où l'on passe, et d'autres qui nous marquent. Idéalement située, la suite de Kay et Christian est un écrin bourré d'histoire. Il faut prendre le temps d'écouter Kay raconter le passé de cette demeure, elle le fait avec une passion communicative. C'était le décor rêvé pour ma demande en mariage, d'autant que Kay a été d'une aide inestimable pour tout préparer, s'investissant comme si c'était pour sa propre famille. C'est le reflet parfait de ce couple : une philosophie tournée vers l'autre, d'une humanité qui fait un bien fou. Merci à vous deux d'avoir été les gardiens de ce souvenir précieux. Tout était parfait, de la grande Histoire des murs à la petite histoire que nous venions d'écrire. Attention : après un séjour ici, les hôtels classiques vous paraîtront bien fades !

Le seul défaut de ce séjour ? Le moment où il a fallu rendre les clés et rentrer chez nous. Le retour à la réalité est un peu rude...

Accommodatie van alle gemakken voorzien. Heerlijke bedden. Mooi uitzicht op Kasteel Gravensteen. Centraal gelegen dus alles te voet kunnen doen. Auto geparkeerd bij P&R Gentbrugge Arsenaal, daarna tram T2 en je staat recht voor de deur van de accommodatie.

Een goede plek om het maximale uit je Gentse verblijf te halen.

De locatie is onovertroffen. Geweldig uitzicht, ook aan de achterzijde. Bovendien zijn de slaapkamers ondanks centrale ligging toch heerlijk rustig. De eigenaars zijn zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Komen zeker terug!

Heerlijk geslapen in schitterend historisch pand van zeer lieve eigenaren.

Wat een prachtige historische locatie met een geweldig uitzicht aan beide kanten. Voor het Gravensteen en vanaf het achterterras de torens van Gent! We genoten van het mooie pand en ook van de zeer lieve eigenaren die ons hartelijk ontvingen en heel toegankelijk waren. Aan alles was gedacht wat de inrichting van onze suite betreft, zoals thee, wijnglazen en verschillende soorten hoofdkussens. Heel fijn ook op zo'n centrale locatie dat parkeergelegenheid beschikbaar was.

Voor ons was niet vooraf duidelijk dat er geen ontbijt beschikbaar was bij deze B&B, dat bleek pas nadat we geboekt hadden. Dit ondanks foto's van het ontbijt en enthousiaste recensies waarin het ontbijt genoemd werd. Gelukkig werd wel een fijne lijst met ontbijt-adresjes geadviseerd, waardoor we toch lekker ontbeten hebben, maar dus wel buiten de deur.

Wat een heerlijk weekend hebben wij gehad, in deze prachtige B&B

De ligging midden in hartje Gent met als uitzicht kasteel Gravensteen. Het heerlijke balkon, waar je even kon bijkomen van de drukte van de stad. De gemoedelijke sfeer in B&B de Waterzooi mede door de enorme gastvrijheid van de gastheer en gastvrouw.

Heerlijk in alle luxe midden in het centrum

De ontvangst was echt top!. We werden opgehaald in de gratis parkeergarage op 100 meter afstand van de waterzooi. Daarna keurige uitleg over de geweldige kamer. We hadden de luxe suite op de 1e verdieping. Wat een genot! prachtig uitzicht, heerlijk balkon achter waar je in de ochtend in de zon van je koffie kan genieten en de slaap en zitkamer apart was heerlijk!. Supercentraal gelegen, alles lopend gedaan en ondanks midden in de stad toch heerlijk stil binnen. De eigenaren staan voor je klaar om leuke tips en lekkere restaurantjes te adviseren. We komen hier zeker terug!!.

Un séjour 5 étoiles, en mode "comme chez soi", en plein centre de Gand.

Ce fut un véritable plaisir de séjourner au B&B Waterzooi : les maîtres des lieux sont extrêmement attentionnés et l’accueil est impeccable. Nous logions dans la suite Felix : avec son salon donnant sur le château, sa chambre donnant sur une terrasse offrant une vue sur les clochers, ses équipements et sa literie, tout était parfait. Encore merci pour ce séjour !
