Clean, warm and calm hotel, helpful staff.

Earlier in my trip I had stayed at a filthy and noisy hotel, but JAM Gent was clean and I didn't have any noise problems. It might be because I was finally coming down from my fever, but I only had trouble sleeping one night, and I could open the window and breathe the fresh night air without any noise problems, minus one drunk couple walking past when I was already awake from pain in throat. When I requested they turn the A/C in my room off so I could sleep in peace with the window open they accommodated my request, for which I'm quite grateful. The shower is hot and the sink was clean and spacious enough to refill any bottle. Lastly, I was in a pinch to write and mail off my last letters, and one staff member was kind enough to explain the finer points of when to use buik and when to use maag in Flemish, and another volunteered to mail my letters for me, as I wouldn't be able to reach a post office before the train to the airport left. Excellent service, clean and comfortable room. I'm very pleased with the experience, and will definitely come back!

There was nothing detracting massively from my experience. A more secure internet connection would certainly not have gone amiss. I didn't feel comfortable on an open network, but I was mostly too tired to use the internet anyway. The A/C is on by default, and cannot be turned off from the room, which I'm sure most people won't mind, but as the vast majority of all Norwegians have our windows open at night down to -10c or -15c, which we CERTAINLY didn't have in lukewarm Belgium, I was dismayed to discover that I had to request it be turned off for my room every night. The ability to regulate the temperature myself would have made it perfect, but I realize this might be a headache to keep track of.

The hotel was fabulous. The location was perfect for what we needed. Breakfast was great and the staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay there again.

Funky, unique stay not far from the historic center

Very cool hotel, within a 15-20 minute walk of the town center. Points for the decor and unique setting. Room was comfortable and had a good shower. Rooftop bar was a nice touch and imagine the pool would be fun in summer.

Felt price was a little high with no breakfast included and the distance. Maybe just bumped for the holidays? Still glad we stayed there.

Cool building, nicely decorated in quite a buzzy district. Hotel felt not quite finished, long delay on check in, staff seemed a bit overwhelmed and maybe understaffed. Beds were very hard and not cosy at all. Aesthetically lovely tho!

The only minus was the service was very slow in the restaurant. The food was very good but it took 30 mins just for our drinks to arrive then 1 hour for our food.

Leuk en hip hotel met kamers voor gezinnen

Het personeel. Heel klantvriendelijk. We waren op tijd en omdat de kamer al klaar was mochten we gelijk de kamer in. Ook konden we de laatste dag wat langer blijven dan de late check-out tijd.

Het ontbijt verliep op zondag wat rommeliger vanwege de drukte. Verder is het jammer dat de bar op zondag en maandag niet open was.

Unieke overnachting

Heel uniek verblijf door de locatie en inrichting. Echt even wat anders :) De kamer is ruim en het bed ligt heerlijk. Heel leuk dat er een rooftop bar (met pool!) aanwezig is.

Wij vonden het jammer dat de rooftopbar op zondag gesloten is. Het water uit de douche werd niet écht warm en de temperatuur schommelde ook.

Einfach toll

Wir haben eine Nacht mit unserem Hund in diesem Hotel verbracht. Das Gebäude selbst ist sehr interessant, das Hotel und das Zimmer sind sehr modern und gut ausgestattet, besonders Schwimmbecken auf dem Dach und die Kaffeemaschine im Zimmer haben uns beeindruckt. Das Personal war freundlich. Es war ein interessantes Erlebnis, an so einem Ort zu übernachten, und wir würden gerne wiederkommen.

Het Jam Hotel, super mooie locatie. Sfeervol, warm personeel en mooie inrichting. Ondanks de grote van het pand heeft een warme sfeer, mooie kamers. Wij sliepen in de torenkamer, heerlijke serene rust. Goed bed en goede mooie ruime badkamer.

Eigenlijk viel er niets tegen, diner was goed! Bezoekers waren leuk.. De barman Senne en collegas waren een goed team en werkte goed door! Complimenten :)

Leuk voor een weekendje Gent maar de prijs/kwaliteit verhouding is niet in balans.

Gevestigd in een voormalige kazerne is de buitenkant een eyecatcher. Ook de faciliteiten op de begane grond zijn leuk om te zien.

De kamers zijn basic en het meubilair is wel erg eenvoudig. De douche is erg moeilijk af te stellen.

El hotel esta impresionante y la fusion entre elementos clasicos y modernos, en decoracion como arquitectura, me gusto mucho. Se encuentra cerca de la estacion y esta bien contectado. El cuarto me parecio bueno, el restaurante de la terraza muy lindo y con gente amable. La gente de recepcion tambien siempre estuvo muy bien dispuesta y fueron de mucha ayuda. No hubo ningun problema con mi perro, entonces eso tambien fue muy positivo.

Lo unico es que puede encontrarse un poco lejos del centro para caminar de vuelta de noche y con todas las construcciones que hay en la calle para cierta gente, sin embargo, es posible tomar el camion lo cual lo facilita.

Hommikusöök oli maitsev. Toidu valik oleks võinud veidi suurem olla, aga kõik oluline oli siiski olemas ja maitses hästi. Meeldis, et ka laktoosivaba piim ning kaerapiim olid valikus. Eriti suurt rõõmu tegi, et majutuskoht oli nõus meie lahkumise päeval pakkuma hommikusööki 0,5 h varem kui tavaliselt, sest pidime varahommikul hotellist lahkuma. Töötajad olid väga sõbralikud ja vastutulelikud. Hotelli ruumid olid veid harjumatu kujundusega, kuid siiski mugavad ja puhtad. Meeldis ka see, et hotell erines tavapärasest klassikalisest hotellist ja hotelli sisekujundus oli põnev. Restoranis on huvitavad kunstiteosed.

Toas ja vannitoas puhus kohati tuul, mida ei osanud maha keerata. Ülemisse narivoodisse oli keeruline ronida, redel oli väga kõrge ja ebamugav ronimiseks. Muidu olid voodid siiski väga mugavad. Toas oleva peegli kohal võiks olla valgustus, samuti võiks laua kohal olev lamp olla parema valgustusega.

Het pand op zich gerenoveerde kazerne.

De waterkoker geeft geen warm water, de verwarming in badkamer verwarmt niet, de koffiemachine geen koffie, op de kussens wil je je laatste adem niet eens uitblazen, het ontbijt start om 7 uur maar ze moeten er nog aan beginnen dan. Nergens bestekken in te bespeuren om op te scheppen of te eten. Het ontbijt is wel ruim genoeg en elke dag dezelfde keuze. Nergens op tv een Vlaamse tv zender terwijl VRT gratis is. Goeie poging, stelletje amateurs

Indrukwekkend monumentaal gebouw met hip-industriëel interieur

Wat een ongelofelijk mooi en bijzonder pand, met ook nog eens een geweldige tuin om in te hangen (zelfs bij een beetje druilerig weer)! De inrichting is stijlvol, origineel en quirky, met oog voor detail. Veel unieke zitplekken en dan dat zwembad op het dak!

Das Zimmer roch sehr stark nach Plastikkleber. Leider konnte man das Zimmer nicht ausreichend lüften, da das zweistöckige Zimmer nur über ein kleines Fenster verfügte, welches nur kippbar war. Auch andere Zimmer hatten diesen toxischen Geruch, so dass wir den Aufenthalt stornieren mussten und im Gateway Super unterkamen. Das Personal war aber im YAM sehr freundlich.

Hermoso hotel, muy equipado y con buena ubicación.

El antiguo edificio militar en que está emplazado el hotel. En el interior una decoración moderna. La habitación y el baño, amplios, cómodos. Televisor muy grande. Cafetera, pava eléctrica, calentador de toallas. Café, azúcar, te, de cortesía. Buenas toallas. La ubicación no es céntrica, pero es cómoda a mitad de.camino entre la estación de tren y el centro histórico.

Por ser un edificio antiguo, los techos son altos y hace que la habitacion a veces cueste resulte algo fría. Había aire acondicionado, pero no lo usé.
