Gorgeous hotel

Amazing location, nice big room and I loved that you could choose what room to have before checking in! They send you a link via email. Breakfast had a great variety, hot and cold, also with an option to order from the chef. We parked at the hotel and it was so easy to find and had clear instructions.

Only thing wrong was that the fridge hummed and knocked all the time and you couldn’t not unplug it as the wire went into the wall

Very well placed and comfortable.

The room was huge and I had almost perfect silence even as early as 9pm. The bed was comfortable, with a choice between 3 types of pillow. The location is fantastic for visiting the city.

The shower controls are almost impossible to use with wet hands ;).

Everything! The room was beautiful and really clean. The shower was fantastic and the bed was really spacious and comfortable. The breakfast really was as wonderful as other reviews had suggested and we couldn’t have asked for a better location.

Great location bad mattress

Well located spacious room great breakfast

The quality of the mattress it’s concrete for someone like me who suffers from back ache. I specifically asked for a topper but didn’t get one. Too bad as I have stayed at the hotel regularly. In the past the beds were comfy but that changed after refurbishing. I won’t be coming back.

Excellent base for exploring the old Ghent

The location couldn't be better – right in the middle of the historic center and steps away from the major attractions and the Christmas markets. The breakfast is very good. The parking is convenient, not so many places to keep a car at in the center.

Our rooms weren't ready when we arrived even though it was after 4pm. The front desk were kind enough to offer a free breakfast in compensation, though. Otherwise, everything was quite good and up to expectations.

Excellent Hotel in a Brilliant Location

Right in the centre of Ghent, you could not ask to be closer to the main attractions, The hotel was calm and quiet as was our room. Our room was well appointed and with a capacious and excellent walk-in storage area/wardrobe. The bed was wide (7 feet?) and very comfortable. On arrival there was no coffee or fresh milk in the room, but they were quickly delivered after calling reception. Breakfast was excellent with a wide choice. The staff were universally warm, helpful and friendly, and as good as any we have ever come across. Would definitely stay here again

On the afternoon we arrived the reception was very busy, with a constant flow of new arrivals. We had to wait for our room to be made ready but the hotel acknowledged this and we were given a drinks voucher and a small gift without asking for them.

Luxury in the heart of beautiful Gent

Very comfortable modern hotel bang in the heart of historic Gent. Location for sightseeing is 10 out of 10 but note it is a 7 minute walk to/from the nearest tram stop for the railway station (trams 1 or 3, tap card on white machine inside tram). All staff were friendly and helpful - check in, cleaning and bar staff. Map offered on arrival. Thank you to them. Excellent range of TV channels. Mystic Lamb (Lam Gods) experience at nearby Cathedral recommended, it's worth the charge.

Nothing - other than the online check out which did not reflect that we'd already paid the city tax. Staff at reception quickly rectified this. The bizarre thing is that the online check out promised that it would "make us feel good about our stay" but then did the opposite, when we had already been feeling really good about it!!

Central location and convience. Love the new bar.

The only thing I could say was that the grill breakfast(bacon, sausages and beans) need to be hotter. They were not hot enough. Other than that, the hotel is perfect.

Perfect Hotel in a central location

As Hotels go this might be one of the nicest I’ve stayed in. Large comfortable beds within clean spacious rooms. Lovely addition of the coffee machine in the room along with the rainfall style shower. Every member of staff was so lovely and couldn’t have been more accommodating if they tried. Lovely selection at breakfast including the buffet style food as well as the cooked to order selection. Great central location too - will defo look to stay here again when I return.

Looking Forward To Returning

I have stayed at this property several times over the years and the reason I keep coming back is because it is exceptional. Its great value for money, attention to detail is excellent, the staff are really friendly and helpful, plus it has the most extensive breakfast buffet you could wish for. The cherry on the cake is its location, right in the heart of everything.

Everything was great!

The location is amazing. The rooms are spacious and clean. The bathroom was beautiful. The beds were very comfortable. This hotel did not smell musty like many of the others on this trip. It had a great smell. They have great ventilation. The staff were very accommodating and they stored our luggage for us.

April in Gent

Gals at reception were so friendly & kind. We were offered a free upgrade which turned out to be a large Excutive suite with sofa, chair & table. It was wonderful. Loved the location, easy walk to most sights.

The one sink faucet did not work so we both used the working one. Little inconvenience. Did not like the noisy street below where deliveries were made - it tended to be noisy with carts of linen deliveries & glass recycling being dumped (breaking glass bottles!) Base of shower tended to be very slippery - used bath mat on base for safety. We are an older couple 70+.

Location - Right next to the City Hall and main sites. Great room - comfortable, clean and high standard. We were lucky to have a side view of the city hall. Staff were excellent, helpful and efficient. A great place to stay and highly recommended.

Access with luggage to the Executive Rooms is only by steps (room 153 and 154 ). We were happy to transport our own on the bellhop trolley but can’t get all the way there. Waiting for staff at checkout time is tricky..

Great hotel but disappointed in bedding

Loved the vibe and the overall comfort of the hotel.very warm and inviting. The location makes it an ideal spot for a getaway weekend. The employees were nice, and tried to help. I recommend this hotel for a nice stay in Gent, had we gotten the right bed it would have been a perfect stay

We were provided with two single beds instead of a king size bed which I had made sure to ask for by email with the hotel weeks prior. Upon arriving our room was given away and we had no other choice than a room with two singlebeds. I know that the hotel was fully booked and there was no other solution than us keeping the room, so I appreciate the complimentary parking service, but this kinda ruined the night of our romantic weekend away because we didn't sleep comfortably. Additionally, the hotel was impossible to reach by phone which was very frustrating, kept being put on hold and with nobody picking up after 20 min.

We were very close to the renovation work so was noisy in the day which I know was unavoidable we were attending a wedding so was in the room more than we would of been normally.Also a shame that the restaurant was closed but again can understand it’s because improvements were being made .
