Fantastic value for money, very quiet for a good night sleep, and a great location close to all the best spots yet nicely tucked away from the noise.

It’s not a luxury property, you must know that. It is very clean, comfortable, accessible, and great value for money, but don’t expect grandeur. The stairs are narrow and very steep, so be mindful of that. HOWEVER, don’t be put off by these details. Just be mindful.

The manager were really kind and responsive, beautiful flat with an amazing bathroom. The checkin process was very easy and air conditioning was amazing as well.

An excellent stay from start to finish. The house was spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and fully equipped with everything we needed. The location was very convenient, and the atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. The host was extremely friendly, welcoming, and always available for any questions. We would definitely choose this place again and highly recommend it.

Great location and fantastic beds

Excellent location, great info/communication and much appreciated handy advice like places to get breakfast. Rooms are the perfect size with the most comfortable beds and lovely scented toiletries. Overall fantastic and I would recommend it.

Rooms just need a little tlc from general wear and tear i.e. marks on the wall and damaged wall lamp but nothing that impacted us or our stay.

The only thing we didn't like was the cleanliness of the bed sheets which were a little dirty, that was the only negative.

Very clean. Quiet but very central location. Great restaurants and bars close by. We particularly liked Ludos and take five for coffee. De Parkiet for beers overlooking one of the canals in the early evening was great and little Asia for Thai food was delicious. The apartment is really stylish, the bed comfortable and massive. It was a relaxing stay for somewhere so central. Great communications from John too.

Nice, perfectly located apartment

We stayed in the double room (29 m²) - Spacious, clean, light apartment with attractive wooden floor and high ceiling; - Excellent bed and shower; - Great location in a nice neighborhood with a pleasant atmosphere, just outside the crowded town center (walking distance); - Good and cheap parking facilities just around the corner (Tolhuis parking); - Easy communication (per app) with host and easy access (with code) to apartment.

- We were able to book the apartment at a discount (approx 25%). The discounted price felt right for the apartment. The host might want to review the regular (full) list price which seems a bit high, in our opinion

Comfortable and brilliant location!

The room was perfect for what we needed! We really liked the location of it as well as it is reasonably priced for it's closeness to the Ghent old town. We used this as our base while we travelled Belgium by train visiting different cities and to Luxembourg for a day trip. It was great base and the bed was incredibly comfy!

If there was a fridge then it would be ticked off all my needs.

Nice accommodation near the centre.

Nice clean room and good location. Useful advice about cheap parking.

The stairs are very steep and we could just about manage them safely (we are in our mid-seventies) but they are not suitable for older people, parents with babies that need to be carried or people with mobility problems. The website says that parking is available but it should instead state that it is in a public car park 400 metres from the house.

Excellent air conditioning, really comfy bed, great shower, in a quiet area close to restaurants, bars and the centre of town. Price was good

Room was very small. This property comes up under the "hotels" filter, but it is not a hotel. It is a private let. Minimal space for hanging clothes so not suitable for a long stay. Walls could do with a paint.

Wonderful stay

The location is excellent and is within walking distance to almost all tourist attractions. The room is very spacious and cozily furnished and elegantly decorated with high ceiling. The toiletries are perfect with Rituals and also facial cleansing wipes and cotton wool. The shower is great with strong water power and the shower cubicle is spacious enough for moving around. The entrance code being the same as the room code is brilliant and easy to remember. Got YouTube and Netflix which is indeed a big bonus.

Noises made by the pass-by cars and motor cycles during midnight disturbed my sleep. TV is a bit too small and far away from the eye level when watching from the bed or the chair.

Great for a short stay in Ghent

The furniture and furnishings in the room were stylish and comfortable. Didn’t have to faff around trying to log into Netflix as it was already logged in. Great location - only 10 min walk to all main attractions.

The narrow stairs our room was on the 2nd floor so it wouldn’t be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Walls seemed thin as we could hear movement in the next rooms but this didn’t affect our stay.

Perfect room and perfect location

The room was exactly as the photo, very spacious, bright and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was also spacious and very clean. The hotel itself is in a very quiet area, only about 10mins walk from all the restaurants, bars and historical landmarks. We were absolutely delighted and definitely would recommend staying here.

Lovely stay at boutique hotel

We had a great stay at Rodelijv! The hotel had just opened 2 weeks before. The host was very friendly, accompanying us to the parking lot and gave us some tips for breakfast and nice places to eat. We booked 3 separate rooms. Each of the rooms was nicely decorated. Beds were very comfortable. The hotel is situated in a nice area of Ghent, with lots of nice cafes and restaurants nearby.

In one of the rooms, the water temperature of the shower was either cold or hot, no in between. However, would still very much recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Ghent!
