The room was comfortable, quiet, and in a good location.

The biggest issue with the room was cleanliness. It is unacceptable not to carry out at least a proper cleanliness check of the bathroom. Beyond that, the room generally needed much more careful cleaning, as hair, stains on the sheets, a dirty fridge, dust, and visible cobwebs indicated careless and superficial cleaning. Regarding communication, the owner was absent throughout our stay, did not reply to the Booking chat (to the only question we asked), and showed no interest in addressing any needs. As for amenities, they were almost non-existent, and we had to buy everything ourselves, such as soap and toilet paper. The Wi-Fi connection was mediocre to poor, and the room is definitely not suitable for anything beyond sleeping and showering.

Very safe and cozy!

At first I was skeptical because it was in a gated alleyway, but I have never felt safer in this property. It was very secure, clean, and cozy. It felt luxurious and the owners were very clear on instructions. I would pick this place as my stay in Ghent any time I visit now! Highly recommended.

Perfect stay in a wonderful place at a great location.

The location is amazing, right in the city centre of Ghent. Yet it's a very quite space, located in a beautiful/scenic and well protected alley. It's the second time I booked this spot for a work trip so I experienced two different rooms and they were both very tidy, clean, comfortable and nicely designed. It's very easy that check-in and check-out are with entry codes so you're not depending on anyone for your arrival or departure. Nice bathroom, small fridge, very convenient.

I don't have any remarks, for me it's the perfect place to stay when you're in Ghent.

Lovely decor, very comfy bed, wet room, spotlessly clean.

Only one pillow each, no crockery/cutlery. Lights complicated to work and the one in the toilet didn’t work at all. Despite saying there was tea and coffee there were only three teabags. No instructions for safe or heating.

Good spot to stay

Perfect stay for a weekend (or longer) to explore Ghent. You are in the middle of the city and can reach all locations just on your feet. The apartment also offers the possibility of escaping the city for a small break in between your exploration.

The place is referred to as if it has a parking. I chose it specifically after filtering "parking" on Booking, because I was traveling by car. However, it is in a pedestrian area and you cannot even reach it by car. So why would you list the facility as if it has a parking?? I could have chosen a different one and save the money of the public subterranean parking for the weekend. I received so many extremely long messages with instructions and recommendations, that I ended up asking a recap to chatgpt.

Spacious Rooms, but We’ll Stay Elsewhere Next Time

• The rooms were really spacious, which was great for spreading out and relaxing between sightseeing. • Location was convenient.

• The lower apartment windows are right on the alley, and people walk by and look in. • The alley gets noisy at night with people talking, and it reeks of urine. • Door locks were quirky, but we managed. • One afternoon, I was kicking back in my underwear after a long morning of churches and museums, and someone unlocked the door, looked at me and said they worked there, walked in to grab an iron, and left—no knock, no apology. Super awkward. • No secure or convenient place to park bicycles. • No soap, shampoo, or basic toiletries provided (good thing we bring our own).

From booking to check-out, everything was handled with professionalism and ease. The host was responsive, helpful, and made the entire process stress-free. Considering the quality of the apartment and the service provided, the price was more than fair. It’s rare to find such a great balance of comfort, convenience, and affordability. We wholeheartedly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a top-notch stay. We would definitely book again! Brilliant hosts of a beautiful apartment in the centre of Ghent. The beds were comfy and the bathroom was gorgeous. We had a lovely time here and would definitely recommend this accommodation to our friends.

Ghent, the hippest town we visited!

Vey easy to get to the apartment from the train station. Large room on a quiet street in the middle of everything. We didn’t have to use public transportation to get to the main highlights of the city. It was a wonderful stay in the historic centre of Ghent. Walking distance from the main canal. Very silent at night. It was the hippest town we visited during our long trip through multiple cities in Northern Europe.

The apartment was perfect, heaps of room nicely decorated with all that you could possibly need. The apartment is very centrally located and an easy walk to all the main sites.

The entrance to the apartment is on a key pad locking device. We followed all the instructions and were able to get in at night and again after we had been out to eat but the next morning it did not work. we contacted the managers hoping they might be able to reset it, but nothing was done. In the end one of us had to stay while the other went out, so that we could still access the apartment. We only had one night so this sort of spoiled our time there.

Very nice location, in city center and you can go everywhere by walk. The room was nice equipped and very clean. The host had provided the checkin details by mail and also suggested some nice spots and restaurants. We stayed here for 4 days and enjoyed everyday here.
