Great value, great property, excellent staff

The hotel was very clean, bright, modern with huge rooms and comfortable quiet bedrooms. Great facilities and excellent friendly staff.

It’s a little out of town, but we knew that when booking. We were there for NYE so just used Uber to get in and out of town. If not holiday period there were buses from outside hotel, so don’t be put off.

High-quality accommodation for an enjoyable short trip to Ghent - both for business and leisure!

Our room was rather spacious with a high quality interior. The sofa and the bed were very comfortable and the shower was pretty big. The kitchenette in our room was equipped with basically everything you could ask for to prepare a meal (in case you're travelling on a budget or you prefer to eat your own food ), oven and mini dishwasher included. There was no stovetop, however, it would have been possible to get a portable stovetop brought to your room. The breakfast was great, with everything I could have wanted and more, but then again, I don't have the highest of standards for a breakfast buffet. The staff was very friendly and helpful, too, without fail!

The lamp next to our couch didn't work and we didn't have a toilet brush in the bathroom (the receptionist told us it was a rather new company policy to exclude those from the rooms). Also, the infrastructure for public transit wasn't great, so we took an Uber into town. While everything seemed to be clean and hygienic (no mold or limescale in the bathroom - in fact, one of the cleanest bathrooms I've seen in a hotel; everything looked neat, the floors were mopped every day etc.), the very top shelves in our room had not been wiped for a while. Everything considered, however, that's not a big deal at all.

Great Marriott

The staff are excellent, friendly and professional. The rooms were clean, well designed and mattresses were comfortable. House keeping staff are excellent.

The rotating door entrance is to narrow. Clothing gets caught in it. But it does add some hilarity.

We really enjoyed Ghent and the hotel was fine.

It was easy to find and in a convenient location. Modern and clean interior. The room was a good size with everything we needed. The breakfast was very good with lots of choice.

The receptionist was very rude. We weren’t able to check in and were kept waiting. The room was lovely but the coffee machine was broken, and so was the shower head. It was very crowded and busy at breakfast and no hot drinks were offered.

Good hotel, recommended

In general is nice, very modern, clean, the rooms were very clean and comfortable. I would recommend it, so bear in mind that the location is a bit far from the city center, and I'm unsure how accesible it is without a car

Not that I didn't like it, but definitely the location is something to keep in mind. For anyone traveling without a car, just keep this in mind (if this is not a problem then ok :)).

Overall great and with small improvements, it could be excellent

The bed, the layout of the room and the shower and clothes storage were all fantastic. The bed in particular was to die for and also to be able to watch the tv on the bed or on the sofa was a huge bonus. 10/10 for interior design.

I run a small Airbnb business and so I understand the importance of customer satisfaction in this sector. Small things were missing/inadequate: - Two small bottles of water or one large bottle of water upon arrival and indeed every time the room is cleaned would make a huge difference - There is a coffee machine with a few coffee capsules and sugar sachets but the most important thing is milk (or coffee cream/powder) and to top it off, they do not sell milk in the market on the ground floor - There is a fridge but no drinks inside at all. Having a very small selection ie Coke, fruit juice and a couple chocolate bars would make a huge difference - There is an oven but no microwave - The state of the art leisure centre was rather small - The sofa bed mattress was very uncomfortable All in all; very good hotel but has even greater potential.

There is roadwork around the hotel with very loud noises that they didn't show anywhere. The parking is 19 euro's for one night just to park on the road next to the hotel. If you can't supply "real" Parkingspots to your guest please dont let them pay to park.

Great room and amenities at Residence Inn

The room was spacious with all amenities, including cutlery. The bed was comfortable. Parking was right down and easily accessible. Electric vehicle charging points were available nearby, too.

The breakfast buffet had very limited options and the breakfast area was relatively small and a bit congested.

Generally very good stay. They are doing some works on the outside so a bit disruptive. But generally a very good stay.

We stayed as a family, so it was super convenient to have two beds in one room! However, you can’t move the beds and we had to find creative ways of blocking gaps so the kids didn’t fall during the night and our daughter slipped off the bed and kissed the window sill during the day, which left her with an awful mark. But I guess adults would not have these problems.. they were a lot of amenities like iron, hairdryer, loads of pots and pans though no stove, which we found amusing. But there was generally a small kitchen you could use, so definitely helpful.

I found a hairband on the floor and some other stuff sort of under the bed, which makes me think it’s not cleaned that well, though looked super cleaned and tidy otherwise. Breakfast area was quite small and crowded in the morning as well but it was ok.

Overall hotel was very good.

Pet surcharge of €30 for one night was most expensive we'd paid anywhere on entire holiday. Usually pet surcharge is between €10-€15. No rationale for such excessive pricing. In addition, pet surcharge is not listed anywhere beforehand so you get unpleasant surprise.

Ability to get into town was tricky as team was not running from hospital so had to walk along way … then discovered the bus and need to change to inter connecting buses to get to hotel then only 4 minute walk

Breakfast had a good variety of items, lovely coffee. Easy parking.

Towels had frayed edges, both rugs in rooms had large stains on them. Coffee machine was broken (but staff quickly replaced it) terrible location because there is no easy public transport.

It was second time stay at the hotel. All is good, but breakfast could be a bit better.

Poor service from local personnel, i.e. no greetings, no thank you, sour faces, in comparison to personnel with foreign origin who are nice and provide very good service. Hotel asks to sign non-smoking policy at check-in, that is a bit odd.

Modern hotel close to Ghelamco Arena

Spacious Standard Studio equipped with modern furniture, extra big TV (multiple channels in different languages), refrigerator, iron, kitchenette and kitchenware, including small kettle and a coffee machine with a few capsules of complementary coffee. Shared washing machines are available on the ground level. The room is quiet and air conditioned. Daily room cleaning. Breakfast buffet was included in the price. Suits perfectly for long stay as well for working remotely from the room. The hotel located a bit far from the city center, but convenient if arriving by a car, it is next to an exit from the motorway. Parking is available. Grocery store (Albert Heijn) is just a few minutes walk away.

Check-in and check-out took a bit longer than needed. Wi-Fi was free only for one day, after that it is available for a fee. No variations in breakfast buffet, overcooked bacon (to my taste).
