I liked it.

I liked the cleanliness. I liked that the staff were very nice and helped when we missed the breakfast, due to misunderstanding about the breakfast time. The chief lady was very kind and accepted the breakfast vouchers and provided what was still available. The personality responsible for cleanliness of the rooms and the bathroom were also very collaborative.

It would be better if the shower is isolated from the rest bathroom space by a glass or something and not a curtain. Curtain doesn't stop the water to go further the showering space. The entrance from the parking place to the hotel is only possible through stairs, which is a little difficult when bringing many or heavy suitcases.

Warm nest in the heart of Ghent!

Staying in this hotel third time. I think it has a very good price/quality ratio. Located in the city center! In 15 - 20 min walking you can reach basically everything. Stuff is very friendly!

The room I was given upon arrival was too cold, but very friendly stuff provided me another room which was warm!

The perfect short break in a new city - we'll be back!

Everything: excellent location; superb breakfast; comfortable bed. Definitely recommended, and if we return to Gent, this will be our No.1 accommodation choice. The staff were very friendly too.

Decent value stay and staff were friendly. Some minor issues with the room but overall worth the price we paid

Decent location and good value for money. Bed was comfortable and decent facilities in the reception/bar area.

Building and room were quite dated. We stayed in a family room and the bathroom had some mold in it. Carpets in hallway were a little dirty too. Rest of room was quite clean though.

Great location and comfortable amenities, small improvements could make the experience better

The room was comfortable and clean, although we were assigned a room designed for people with disabilities, which made us feel slightly uncomfortable, as if we were using a space intended for someone else, due to the special bathroom equipment and higher toilet seat. Breakfast was enjoyable and met expectations. The location was excellent, within walking distance of most attractions; however, it took quite some time to understand the process of obtaining the LEZ pass from the official Ghent website in order to enter the city center by car.

There was nothing specific that I disliked; however, addressing the points mentioned above could further improve the overall stay experience.

Request for More Considerate Room Assignment for Business Travelers

The location and breakfast were average but satisfactory.

At the very least, I hope the hotel can be more mindful when assigning rooms for business trips. During my stay, I was placed right next to my supervisor, which made the entire stay quite uncomfortable. I’m not sure what the point was of mentioning that it was a business trip at the time of booking. I hope that next time the hotel can be a bit more considerate and sensible with room assignments for business travelers.

It is a very good hotel, located close to the busy historical part and the staff was very polite and helpful. I like ibis hotels in general but this one was exceptionally well manged, clean and positive.

Felt like a jail cell

Shower had good water pressure and temp control. Breakfast was good.

Bed/mattress was hard and would slide off the bed. Pillows were flat, temp control in room didn’t work (could not turn on AC). Room was very small and bathroom was cramped.

Location was fantastic, within walking distance of old town attractions. Breakfast was decent and the lobby bar was convenient.

Some good points but a lot of negatives.

The breakfasts good with plenty of choice. The majority of staff were excellent, just one barmen kept disappearing to another room on his computer when customers needed serving.

The location was not as close to the centre as hoped, our rooms were at the front and noisy. The bathrooms were small and very difficult for two ladies with mobility issues especially the high step into the shower. One actually slipped. The mattresses on all the beds moved in the night, the mattress moved from the base and the topper moved off the mattress.

By far the best place to stay to enjoy beautiful Ghent!

The hotel deserves way more than the maximum score on a 4-point rating system. Staff: Super friendly and helpful. I had an important meeting in the afternoon and was very nervous beforehand. The staff at the reception not only arranged an early check-in but also helped me print out some handouts, which made it much easier for me to prepare for the meeting. Cleanliness: The hotel itself, as well as the room I stayed in, was very neat and clean. All facilities, including the hairdryer in the room, were available. Location: The location of the hotel is excellent – it’s just a short stroll to the historic city centre, yet the hotel is situated in a calm and quiet area, allowing you to rest and sleep without being disturbed by outside noise.

Location was good. T1 tram from station stops close to hotel. Eating places and bars close by. 20 minute walk to centre. Room was adequate but small.

Bathroom and shower were just functional, but in my opinion were designed far too small and too compact for comfortable use.

A good place to stay near the historical center of the city.

The hotel is relatively near (about 1 km) to Gent's center and it has its own parking garage, which was handy. The room was comfortable, the beds good and it was quiet. There were enough place to put our coats and baggage. Just one warning: the part of the city inside the ring - and the hotel is also situated there - is a restricted zone for cars. You can apply for a permit as we did.

Great hotel for a short stay in the historic center of Gent

Great location, in a lively neighborhood with several great restaurants in the street and the tram stop (line nr 1) just in front of the hotel was very convenient. I had a very quiet room and slept very well ( comfy beds).

Wifi did not function during the 3 days I was there. When I mentioned this at check in, the response I got was that it was “being fixed”, same response the next day… this was an inconvenience …
