Quartier Leonard

The room ("rock'n'roll") is spacious and well-lit. It has a private bathroom, comfortable beds, and a couch. The room was very clean and nicely furnished. Leonard is a great host. Breakfast is served à la carte in the room, so I was able to have fresh eggs with bacon or a warm fried egg prepared just for me; there’s also a wide selection of everything you’d normally find in a store. My dog was welcome and felt right at home in the spacious room.

Neutral: I was given a different room than the one I booked on Booking.com. I can't say whether it was the same size or had the same amenities. Some rooms are on the 3rd floor, and there is no elevator. Negative: The kitchen on the first floor is shared with the other rooms, and I often found it to be quite dirty (though that's not Leonard's fault, it's worth mentioning). There's also very little cutlery. The Rock ’n’ Roll Room doesn’t have a proper desk with a matching chair. Since there’s still space, I recommend providing at least a regular kitchen chair or office chair if guests want to work in the room. It would also be more comfortable for eating than on the couch table. The house has thin walls.

A great location and a lovely place to stay. Leonard is a welcoming host and is clearly a kind soul. The perfect place for people with an artistic heart to explore the delightful city of Gent and all it has to offer.

Location at Ghent is perfect. Leonard is a approachable host. Host had provided fans. Host has prepared the rooms based on themes which gives a good vibe. Kitchenette has a coffee machine and water kettle alongwith glasses.

Some rooms are poorly maintained and hot during summer. If you are in luck you get a good room. Opening windows was almost impossible due to mosquitoes and insects. Surrounding areas of the building wasn't maintained. Shared kitchen (with 8 odd rooms) is a mess, its dirty to say the least. You use it because you use it. Property is overpriced for the value. Car parking costs of 17 euros per night feels costly add-on. Stairs to the 3rd floor are very steep. Not for older people. Not family vacation type of property. Don't want to be rude to the host but when none of 5 people liked the stay, then it says something wasn't right. Became a low light of the trip.
