Great location but avoid room 17,its the worst I've ever stayed in!

Fantastic location. Everything we wanted to see was in easy walking distance. When we eventually met a member of staff she was friendly.

The state of our room was awful: damage to the walls and doors, holes in the wall, black mould on the ceiling in the bathroom, cobwebs, blood splatters on the ceiling in the bedroom (where it looked as if someone had swatted mosquitoes) made it a really depressing place to be. The bed was a flimsy metal frame that squeaked loudly with every slight movement and the mattress topper made it's way off the bed throughout the night, definitely not conducive to a good night's sleep! The bathroom was poorly designed, you have to squeeze past the toilet to get to the shower and it has no heating so is very cold. This was room 17. By contrast, our sons stayed in room 19 which was basic but clean, spacious and well decorated, strange that the we're similarly priced!

Basic but comfortable hotel in very central location

A basic hotel but which offers most facilities - TV, wifi, private bathroom - that I would expect of any hotel with the plus point of a very central location. Friendly staff available to help out and breakfast is available.

Room and bathroom are compact, in line with the price, and would be tight for two people sharing.

So-so. Add a little more money and go to another hotel.

Location. 5 minutes to all historical monuments. And also a special thank to the guy who worked on October 12, 2025 (didn't remember his name). If it weren't for him, the hotel would have left only a bad impression.

The worst thing was the mosquitoes. It was horrible. No clothes hangers (not just hangers, but to hang a suit). No ironing service and no table to work in the room in the evening when the bar is already closed. There were also problems with breakfast. According to the schedule from 8 to 10 AM. However, breakfast could be had closer to 9 AM. Therefore, it is better to find breakfast in a cafe nearby.

Good choice if you’re on a tight budget

The breakfast was great and the location of the hotel is fantastic!

The bed was super uncomfortable, the water pressure in the shower is terrible, almost impossible to use the shower! The room was always full of mosquitoes!

Central location. The view was good from our room at the front of the hotel. It should be remembered that the hotel is currently being done up.

No tea making facilities in the room. No hot water in bedroom hand basin. Similarly, there is no hot water in the toilet hand basin, which makes shaving a problem. The room could have been vacuumed to Pike up grub

Locatios is amazing! Design and details are lovely. Seems they are renovating and it worth it. Breakfast was very good, customer service was lovely. Bed was delicious!

I can say that I relaxed a bit, but there's a lot to improve in that hotel.

-Friendly receptionist and communicative -Room size is actually for a single person. The double bed makes it extremely small. -Right in the city centre. Everything is so close.

-I booked and paid for a room with TV, but there was no TV in it (due to new TV arrivals)! No one informed me in advance and it's not professional to apologise after the customer notices it. No compensation. -Problems with the Wi-Fi. I had access to it for 1 day. Afterwards, problems occurred. Again, no information regarding fixes. Without a TV and Wi-Fi the hotel part of the trip is already ruined.

Comfortable, clean, central, basic accommodation

Great, clean room for two people. Fantastic large bathroom. Only about three minutes from a main square, so very central but in a quiet area. Very friendly staff who gave us a kettle when we asked for one. Luggage storage was easy.

When the room next door uses the water it makes a humming and then a banging noise.

Very enjoyable stay

The location of the hotel was superb, 5 minutes walk to the centre of this amazing city. We found the hotel to be perfect for a short stay. The breakfast was great and our rooms were more than adequate. It had a really nice atmosphere and all the staff we had contact with were really helpful and friendly. For us this place was perfect for a short stay. If we ever go back to ghent we would definitely stay again.

Great location, but hotel needs to spend money on the room

The location and the staff

The room wasn’t clean. There was mould in the shower and dust in the corners of the room. The curtains were falling off. The flooring a tear, and there was dirt coming through. The walls needed painting.

ok for a short stay if you don't expect too much

it's location , it was quiet and the bed was comfortable . The staff were helpful and polite . It was a good price - if it had not been for this I would have been very disappointed but we were only there for one night so ........................!!!!

The room and communal space was very basic - student level I would say . Terrible electrics , poor decoration and tired furniture and carpets . The bathroom was ok - utilitarian but the extractor fan did not work - not great when sharing in such close proximity . I was told on Booking.com that it had free parking but this was completely untrue !!!

mold, mold everywere...

the location the look on the inside the breakfast

there was literally a lot of mold on the walls, room was dirty, and worn down. the bed was very old and worn down too. we didn't trust it for our own safety and stayed at an other hotel. the rooms were a shame. the staff was friendly and all, but clearly had no say in this establisment. they were not surprissed of the tons of mold that were in the room.

The B&B is close to the city center, yet quiet. The breakfast was great and staff are very friendly. The shower was really good.

We got full refund.

The smell of the room was so terrible and I was really about to throw up. They said that it is common in Ghent and the reason is city itself. But the smell was really not acceptable. I’d pay them If they can stay at there first. We couldn’t stay at this property and had to book an other one.

Quaint hotel in a great location.

The location was fantastic, clean and comfortable bed, the hotel was in a quiet neighbourhood, close to the historical centre of town.The reception was friendly and helpful giving us maps and information about the area.

The room was tired and needed updating. The bathroom concertina door could not be comletely closed and there was mould in the shower recess and the floor behind the door could do with a better clean. It would have been a bonus to have had tea and coffee making facilities in the room.Quaint hotel in a great
