Excellent we loved Ghent & the hide

It was a funky apartment. Great location. Nice & warm. Had everything we needed

The access to the backyard to park the car with little room on the sides of our hire car which is a large Renaut Espace. Need to explain entrance is next to a sandwich shop. A photo of the entrance would help people find the accommodation more easy. The loft bed area would be a problem for older people. Luckily we are two fit 70 year olds

“Stayed in the beats of love” in short what promised to be a “relaxing” experience turned out to be a disappoiintment. .

Location to the center of town is perfect, the complex is very well designed / chique and overall looks good. A lot of the details were very appreciated, coffee for the machine, washing powder for the machines etc. Nice thoughts like some games and puzzels to make a stay in this loft a good experience. Check in and out was a breeze.

TV didin’t work, open fire place didin’t work, main thermostat didn’t seem to work…. and heating in the bathroom (didnt work, so a bath was not comfortable). All of the things that were the reason why we selected the location…. (I.e. to have relaxing few days in the loft with the family…). They did managed to get the TV fixed for the 2nd night we stayed. The chess set in the corner of the room summed it up “nice set, but it doesn’ t work when your missing a piece”

The property was secure , clean, quiet and comfortable. Ideally located for the city, restaurants and bars .

Misleading description stating that there are 2 bathrooms assuming each had a toilet! In fact there was one toilet for the whole flat. For the size of the bathrooms an additional toilet could be fitted , making the stay for four adults exceptional.

Great apartment, easy walk to center of Ghent. Enjoyed our stay!

Lots of space, great kitchen and living room, really nice to have a washer and dryer. Host was super responsive and nice to work with. Furnishings are stylish and bed was comfortable.

Each bedroom had a shower, sink and tub, but no toilet. Both bedrooms shared the toilet which was in the hall opposite the rooms. Since we were traveling as couples I would not have booked if I had known that. But it worked out okay and the rest of the place was great so I would still recommend it. If you were traveling with family it would not be a much of an issue. The host was generous and apologized for the confusion. Also, it could use a shower curtain as the water ran out of the shower if you were not super careful.

Nice place with attentive staff but struggled to sleep with the street noise

We loved the location, a bit outside the center but an easy walk. Close to places to walk and only a 20 minute walk to the train station for day trips. Bed was comfortable, it was very clean and the room felt spacious due to the high ceilings. They came in and refreshed the room after 4 days (we stayed for 8 nights) which we appreciated.

The apartment we had faced the street and a very busy intersection. We did not sleep well due to the street noise which included a lot of student "revelry" and early morning trash pickup and some nearby construction.

Designer elegance amazing price and location.

The room was beautiful, quirky and cosy as real home form home. The design of the entire property is so considered and beautiful .The location was great on the way from the station to the old town a great area to base yourselves in there were loads of cafes and bars close buy and a handy shop for the mornings we just wanted a quick snack

Some rowdy neighbours thought it was hilarious to ring the bell by the front door at 4am - not the hotel’s fault but having a massive bell by the door maybe isn’t the best ideas

Location is good. Room is clean and we have everything we need. Balcon is a very nice surprise. Communication is good with eva. Clear instructions!

Lovely getaway in central Gent

Great location, loved the room. It had everything we needed. Bed was very comfortable and the balcony was a bonus.

They should have been more clear/consistent with their check-in time. It is advertised as 3pm but when we received the final message with room/gate codes, it said we could only check-in after 4pm.

I loved the comfort and functionality. Everything was very easy and clear. The decoration was amazing and the bed was very comfortable. It was also very central and yet still very quiet and with contact with nature.

A wonderful stay in this designed place, in Ghent.

This is a beautiful place right in Ghent. We stayed in the basement apartment, which was very large and nicely designed. The bed was great, as was the bathroom and overall space, I just wish we had utilised the kitchen area more, as this was also very spacious. When we arrived, we were greeted by a young guy, who let us in the main gate and showed us to our room. Ordinarily this would not happen, as you are supposed to follow instructions, via an email. All I can say is thank god for this young man.. It's not that difficult to follow the instructions, but if someone is there to show you what's what, it makes your entry, so much more pleasurable, which also affects your stay. We loved the fact there was a washing machine and dryer, this allowed us to freshen up on our clothing during the stay.

Nothing really to report, there is a 30 euro parking charge for parking your car, which is fine, but it's not listed as such on the booking, so for the sake of transparency, I think this should be clearly stated. The entrance is also quite tight getting in and out of the car park, so you will need to be prudent, with your driving skills. When you do arrive in the car park; make sure you reverse into your space, so you can drive out onto the street forwards; you will thank me for this..

Fully modernised and innovative, super comfortable and very well located.

A lovely apartment (Daydream) with the bed on an unusual mezzanine, leaving lots of room downstairs with sofa, bathroom and WC in the building under the mezzanine platform. There was a TV and a clever space-saving kitchen facility that can be closed off behind folding doors. We came by bike and they had dedicated parking frames and charging points for e-bikes, all behind a locked gate with keypad access. Easy walking from the centre of town and all restaurants etc.

No breakfast is offered, but many nice cafés are within a 5-minute walk. Still, given the price, breakfast would have been nice. However, as this was clearly described in the property information before booking, this can only be seen as a personal view and a very minor niggle in an otherwise very enjoyable stay.

Well designed, with attention to detail, especially when it comes to dining experience.

Bathroom didn’t have a door, just a curtain which was a little less private. The night lamp on one side of the bed didn’t work. The wall next to the bedroom was all wet from an accident but the attempt to establish a connection with us was a bit not too insistent. When it comes to lighting, the user experience could be reconsidered for during the night. When taking a bath, water comes to the floor, triggering fear of flooding, which was already the case with some of the apartments.

Very modern and new place located walking distance from the city center. Extremely clean. Perfect shower. I enjoyed the scent so much I bought it for home.

Great 3 Night Stay in Ghent

Lovely spacious room, easy to access, and a great central location with some lovely bars and restaurants surrounding. The bed was super comfy and suspended from the ceiling, which was a first! The secret garden behind the car park overlooking the river was gorgeous and peaceful. Overall, it was a great stay, and the accommodation was a huge part of that!

The showerhead needed a bit of a thorough clean, and the blinds were unfortunately not enough to block out the sun first thing in the morning.

Spacious and unique apartment, perfectly located close to the city centre of Ghent

Our family loved our stay at the Hide. The two bedroom apartment with balcony was very spacious and comfortable with a great layout, nice design and finishes. The balcony overlooking the river is beautiful. Our kids loved the bunk beds. The location is perfect. Close to the action of central Ghent but just outside the city centre on a quieter street. Also easy walking distance to St.-Pieters train station for day trips to other cities.

The property owners weren't responsive to email questions leading up to our stay. Once we arrived, everything was perfect though.

Would definitely recommend The Hide to anyone staying in Ghent!

The location of The Hide is perfect. The tram stop is right outside the front entrance but, everything is only a short walk away. There is a night shop opposite which was handy as well as lots of local restaurants. The apartment is very stylish and has everything you could want as well as being behind an electric gate which felt very safe and secure. The area is quiet, but also you have the option of local bars/pubs if you fancy a drink. The hosts were very helpful and got back to us quickly with any questions. We would definitely stay here again if we were to return to Ghent.

The bathroom only had a curtain separating it from the main living space, rather than a door, and the shower didn't have a hook for the head to have stand up shower. The heating was a little tricky to figure out so it would be great to have a guide for future visits.

Great apartment

Very nice and clean apartment. It has everything you need for a short stay and is very comfortable. The location was excellent, lots of local restaurants, cafes and bars and a ten min walk into the centre.

It really needs a window to let fresh air in, the back door should open at the top but it was jammed and there are no other windows

The room was very beautiful and clean. Dog bowls and dog bed were provided for our dog too. Very thoughtful and helpful host.
