Good overnight stay!

The restaurant was closed (which we knew up front) so we didn't meet any staff apart from the woman who made us breakfast, very friendly! We were walking the GR-routes, the hotel is right on the route.

The hotel is a bit older, which definitely has it's charm, but the rooms didn't have air-conditioning (which we knew up front), and we traveled during a heath wave period - so it was very hot in the room.

Nice, picturesque brassiere with adjacent rooms.

Rustic traditional brassiere with 5 hotel rooms located in a small village in a very affluent neighborhood just outside of Gent. We had a nice, large room (Nr. 5) with own shower and toilet facing towards the rear. Good, plentiful breakfast with freshly baked croissants - we woke up to the delicious smell…

Somewhat remote location with surprisingly lots of traffic, mainly from large SUVs. Neighborhood is very affluent, so the prices in the restaurant were respectively high. Food was good, but not outstanding for the price. We woke up a couple of nights from the cleaning up after the restaurant closed. 20-30 min drive to Gent.

A great place to stay, meeting relatives in the area, or nice to visit Gent and the surrounding area

When we arrived, the reception was not open; we used a keycode to enter. This is efficient but less friendly. We knew it would be a rustic place. There are several rooms on the 1st floor (2nd for our Stateside friends), We had the smallest of the bunch. Good beds and lovely breakfast service, with great personal service. Highly recommended.

Having the smallest (and cheapest room), although we didn't know this when we booked, our room had a toilet opposite the room across the hallway. Initially, we thought we had to share a toilet with all the other rooms, but at breakfast, they told us this was primarily for our room, as the other more expensive rooms have their own en-suites.

Great breakfast, very kind staff. Wonderful location (but roadworks in 2022). Very comfortable bed en good sanitary (! WC is not in the room, which is a minus).

Cute restaurant but very limited vegetarian options. Lack of toilet in the room is a minus. Price is some 15-20% too high for the total value proposition.

An excellent stay in the middle of a calm village, very cosy, in the beautiful Leie area

Breakfast was good : fresh things you order the evening before, which is a good idea. Beds were extremely good! Friendly staff. And combination hotel/brasserie is ideal

Nothing really. We had the bad luck the warm water was out of order, but nothing the staff could do about it on a sunday morning. But they informed us on time.

Restaurant food excellent. Very nice location, old building which had a nice atmosphere.

Arrival, we just got the key of the room, you will find your way, was said. For us, no problem, but next morning with breakfast we had a horrible encounter with the breakfast lady, who claimed, we had not filled in the required paper for breakfast. A paper we had not received. She kept yelling that this was not true, in short, that we where lying. We where the only guests for breakfast, so this circus was ridicules. We asked just for tea and coffee and 2 bread rolls to take with us, so we could leave as soon as possible. We got so upset, it has spoiled our whole stay. We will never come back. We have never been treated so unrespectfull, she shouted like a fishwife. Scandaleus.

Onder de rook van Gent. In de zomer wellicht veel beter dan winter. (gewoon weg koud)

Prachtig gelegen in een zeer pittoreske omgeving. Bed ok.

Koud en zeer gehorig. Badkamer/Douche; net aan/ zeer gedateerd . (Wel schoon) Duur voor de geboden kwaliteit. (Maar blijkbaar was het erg druk in de omgeving Gent/ Algoritme )

Het ontbijt was heel lekker. De kamer was eenvoudig maar gezellig.

Er was geen toilet op de kamer, alleen een douche en lavabo. En dat wist ik niet op voorhand.

Leuk om er daar te zijn, je gaat in de tijd terug. Prachtig omgeving, mooi om te wandelen. En je kunt er lekker eten. Heel vriendelijk mensen. Wij komen terug.
