Wonderful room in a great location!

The room was very spacious, well equipped and beautifully decorated. We were on the top floor with great light and views on both sides..The room was very quiet and the bed was very comfortable ensuring a really good sleep. The location is excellent as it is really close to main transport links, and the street is full of stunning historical houses giving you a lovely flavour of Ghent, it's a short walk to citadelle park and the museums, so there is much to explore in the vicinity. . Communication was excellent, we will definitely stay again !

THE BEST PLACE TO STAY IN GHENT, PERIOD!

The area outside is very safe at all hours. The place is a large room size for Europe. It was clean, the host Michel is very attentive and professional, he even recommends places to visit in Ghent and other nearby cities. Best of all everything works well, very good water pressure and it's quiet too. Cannot beat this location if you're going to Bruges, Antwerp and Brussels since the main train station is a 5 minute walk from there. Lots of great restaurants, coffee shops, a clean laundromat and many other shops are also within a 5 minute walk as well. If I could score out of 100% it would be 99% but only because of the stairs. Other than that it's perfect for a multi day stay in Ghent. We would absolutely stay here again without any concern. It was simply awesome 😎

It is on the third floor so you'll have to climb several stairs, but this is very typical for anywhere in Europe. It DID NOT BOTHER us. If you want to minimize this, ask for the first floor.

Great experience overall

The room was spotless and conveniently located near the main train station.

The bathroom was private as stated, but it was located outside the room. Unfortunately, it couldn’t be locked, so allowing guests to use the same key for both the room and the bathroom would make more sense, as other guests might have used it in its current setup. The property is about a 20–30 minute walk from the city center.

Verblijf van één nacht naar aanleiding van de Zesdaagse van Gent

Op wandelafstand van het station en het Kuipke. De kamer en de badkamer waren proper en ruim. Ondanks de nabijheid van het station was het 's nachts heel stil. De sleutel kon opgehaald worden via een locker. De communicatie hieromtrent met de eigenaar is helder en duidelijk.

We hadden kamer 1 geboekt. Om de privé badkamer (die overigens erg netjes is) ligt te bereiken, ga je een stukje door de gemeenschappelijke gang. Sommige mensen vinden dat misschien minder prettig. Voor een verblijf van één nacht vonden wij het zeker niet onoverkomelijk. Omdat het een oud huis is, hoor je de andere gasten door de kamers wandelen. In ons geval viel dat al bij al ook goed mee. Er waren geen rumoerige gasten aanwezig.

Fijn klein hotelletje, goede service en prima bereikbaar per trein.

Goed bereikbaar vanuit treinstation, good contact met de personeel (eigenaar, flexibel, zowel online als fysiek, aanspreekbaar). Een klein hotelletje (oude pand) geeft meer sfeer, geen massatoerisme.

Qua prijs-kwaliteit, service mag ik eigenlijk niet klagen. Volgens mij wordt ontbijt niet gereserveerd, maar dat is ook achteraf gezien, absoluut niet nodig, in de stad kan je nl. heel makkelijk goed ontbijten.

Waar is de gastheer van het 'Guesthouse'?

Locatie was goed, alleen geen parkeermogelijkheid. Mooie douche Stijl aankleding en accenten Een charmant krakend en piepend pand, maar dit heeft ook zijn nadelen.

Vooraf kreeg ik een plotse kamerwijziging. Was goed, zei ik, als ik ongeveer dezelfde kamer kreeg waar ik voor betaald heb. Ze hadden nog plan B zeiden ze als het niet oké zou zijn. Toen ik arriveerde was er voor de accommodatie niets opgekuist, lag vol met bladeren, geen lichtje in de onbijtruimte. Het leek een verlaten pand. Gaf je helemaal geen welkomsgevoel. Eens op de kamer was het duidelijk dat dit een mindere kamer was, veel kleiner, niet het bad dat ik ging hebben, niet het groot éénpersoonsbed, ... Het was al laat toen ik arriveerde, had er een helse rit op zitten en had een afspraak die ik moest halen, dus plan B inschakelen, wat dit ook mocht zijn, was geen optie. Storend ook dat er geen nachtkastjes voorzien zijn. Je moet dus alles op je erg hoog bed leggen of uit je bed komen en gsm, bril, drank, ... op de grond leggen. Een ijskastje in de badkamer met daarop het koffieapparaat. Met gebrek aan handdoekrekjes en owv zeer kleine lavabo, moet je de handdoeken bovenop het koffieapparaat leggen. Hygiëne? Spinnenwebben in het toilet op ooghoogte, een beker op de lavabo met tandpastaresten, ... Heel erg vind ik, dat ik niemand gezien heb, dat er owv kamerwijziging, ik niet bevraagd werd of alles naar wens is, geen voorstel tot tegemoetkoming voor bijvoorbeeld ontbijt of prijsverlaging, ... Het is niet aan de klant om te polsen bij wijziging. Normaal schrijf ik zulke epistels niet, wou hen via een aparte weg dit doorgeven mochten ze zich toegankelijk opstellen, maar ben erg teleurgesteld in hun betrokkenheid. Het is niet dat ze een zaak runnen van meer dan 15 kamers en hun overzicht verliezen.

Nous sommes ravis de ce séjour

Charmant petit hotel dans une belle maison. Le propriétaire a toujours été disponible au téléphone et a répondu à toutes nos demandes. La chambre est impeccable et le lit très confortable. Très calme de jour comme de nuit. L’emplacement est idéal, proche de la gare, des musées et du jardin botanique

Vriendelijk persoon aan de telefoon uiteindelijk na half uur aan de telefoon te hebben gezeten en via Booking contact kreeg met hotel

Ze adverteren met kamer met eigen badkamer (op de foto’s laten ze dat niet zien ) maar badkamer is op de gang (gedeelde badkamer) hier hou ik niet van dus uiteindelijk krijg ik andere kamer met badkamer (na 30 min aan de telefoon te hebben gezeten) hotel is telefonisch (telefoonnummer welke op de site vermeld staat) niet bereikbaar uiteindelijk via Booking .com terug gebeld door medewerker van hotel op booking.com staat inchecken vanaf 15 uur op de deur 17 uur . Kamer op zich wel schoon maar koelkast staat uit dus heb je niks aan, duurde te lang voordat hij koud werd de badkamer HEEL ONPRAKTISCH na het in bad gaan of douchen hele badkamer blank door een “douche gordijntje” in het rond te klein wat dus eigenlijk geen functie heeft matras HEEL ZACHT ECHT HEEL ZACHT ( sommige mensen houden ervan) maar naar mijn idee moeten deze vervangen worden ENORM GEDATEERDE KAMERS Geen tafel om even aan te zitten / schrijven. ‘s middags en ‘s avonds en sochtens GEEN MEDEWERKER gezien ! Ik hoop als er ‘s nachts wat gebeurt dat er hulp is daar

La literie était confortable, la décoration soignée et l’environnement silencieux.

Nous avons été très surpris de découvrir que les toilettes étaient, non pas dans la chambre, mais sur le palier ! De plus, la salle de bain ne pouvait pas se fermer de l’extérieur donc tous les autres clients pouvaient y rentrer. Il n’y avait pas la Clim dans la salle de bain, il y faisait dont très très chaud.

Très propre et joli. Mieux que sur les photos. Bain comfortable et belle vue plein soleil le matin. Tout le nécessaire est présent. Petit balcon charmant. Je conseille.
